Review 1：site says free bicylces, we couldn't find them, would have been nice to do for an afternoon. overall "lack" of activities, and night activities". would have actually been bored on a longer than 4 day trip

Review 2：Friendly staff, clean rooms food was above average, and for a shorter stay there was plenty of variety. Great beach access with plenty of cabanas and chairs to lounge around.

Meaning it offers little of everything for everyone, but nothing excellent for any of these groups -Noise from the road in rooms with lagoon view (but it was nothing terrible) -Sleepy and a little boring after 11pm

Review 20：-Friendly staff, good location, nice beach. Drinks were ok. Very well working wi-fi connection, even OK at the beach! -When it comes to food - breakfast buffets were the best, go for the "egg station" with fresh omelettes, etc.

Review 21：I had a bad experience with booking.com not honoring the reservation and price as given. This was not the hotel's fault. Room was a bit dark and could have used more lamps but not a big deal. My room did not include an ocean view. Buffets were great but could have used more of a change from day to day. Also staffing at the buffets could be improved.

Review 23：The kids are way overly priced! Adults only is alright. Our room wasn't good. Faced the roof of a tot lot. Cocking was out in the bathroom and had a large opening end to end on the door. Didn't feel like a 5 star inside.

Review 34：OSCAR the manager resolve an issue inmediately with our reservation which was a junior with an ocean view with terrace and Hammock and upgrade us to the VIP . very generous of him he keep repeating how important is our stay in the hotel . The staff was super friendlier and very humble people from the Cheff Orlando super polite and very attentive, he cook for us a Seafood platter it was delicious the food is great a lot of variety in all the restaurants. The cleaning staff twice a day ,Guadalupe (am) y Sra Camacho (pm) They were unbelievable how clean the room was and every day they refill the drinks coke,fanta,sprite ,mineral water ,2 beers .I love my room with an excellent view to the beach. The floor is marmol. The hotel give you slippers and a rope from the hotel. In Las Gaviotas Buffet restaurant the staff was so attentive and they go out the way to sereach you as a royalty. My favorite waiter was Fermin elderly but strong, sweet,attentive,and fast. And Orlando very freely and attentive. The all personal Claribel (cook) , Liliana (hostess) ,the Capitan always making sure the restaurant was organized and clean. The hotel has special activities every day and the schedule in the lobby so organize from aerobic in the pool, volleyball in pool, bingo,Every Night entertainment was so good, pay excursions. The all inclusive is worth every penny , the food was good and a lot of variety. THE BEACH WAS BLUE TURQUOISEYES, Beautiful and refreshing , you will go in after you dry up your skin is not sticky, unbelievable. The skin felt so silky and smooth. I even enrolled as a member of the Resort.

Review 37：I think the hotel is old one and there are not as much pools as other hotels. It was very confusing with the different type of views. At first we had ocean view but we could barely see any ocean. I wouldn't compare american standard of oceanview room to this one. Later on, we felt we had to upgrade to beachfront view. The room is way much better and of course the price. If you book this hotel, I would suggest to book at least oceanfront view rooms. The bed liens are old as well and I guess this hotel is very old in general. Cancun is beautiful and the experience on beach is great. If you ask me if I would come here again next time, I wouldn't.

Review 38：The location is very nice and convenient. Reasonable price. All food/drinks are included. The Italian restaurant inside is very good.

Review 39：The big let down here was the extortionate price of laundry, they charged us $80us for a small amount of laundry, it put a downer on the whole 2 weeks.

The ocean view suite was great (room 2511) Downtown was only a short distance away by bus which is very cheap to use. I would recommend this place and would definitley stay again if i were to ever visit Cancun in the future. Thanks to each and every member of staff for being so very helpful and kind.

Also when we first checked in the hotel there is a lot of very high pressure to buy tours and to go to presentations for timeshares from the hotel staff. It didn't make for a very nice arrival. Just tell them know. You're there for vacation not to make investments. We met a couple on the plane back that said they had committed to a $60,000 investment! Ouch

Review 62：Location was great and the food at the all-inclusive restaurants was actually pretty good. Access to a beautiful beach and several tourist locations are available with just a 10 1/2 peso bus ride right from the front door of the hotel.

When bellboy told me that i had to climb upstairs (i have a knee condition) I went back to Sofia and she said that I should have told her (?) of my knee problem. Review 81：Location was outstanding. It is hard to find a resort with the beach actually within an arms length from your room. We stayed in the beachfront walkout room and it was perfect. I love to sit and drink my morning coffee and relax. I was able to do this every morning! What an amazing staff at this resort! I hope I have room to praise "Fermin" wait staff in the Gaviotas; massage ladies Maria & Abigail (2 massages); check-in by Diana. I went back to give tips to Diana and it was her day off. So tip when you see them. Had one waiter who was not very attentive, told his co-worker the next visit & left the co-worker a nice tip. The next time we went in we had the first waiter, however I think his co-worker said something to him, because this time he was very attentive! They really work hard and are so willing to please. Bed was very comfy...I do not know why people post what they do.

The air conditioner the the public places not so good, It's really hot at the restaurants and at the lobby, it's really not comfortable to sit there when it's hot outside

Perhaps it was not our personal prefernce as we did eat out of the hotel. We did not go on the beach as there was no shade from the sun and around the pool not enough sunbeds for the amount of people in the hotel and again only a few umbrellas for shade of which you need from the blistering sun believe me.

Review 109：Different room than the one booked. We were moved to a suite because the one assigned had a huge leak due to a strong storm. The suite was comfortable, however we were not able to sleep any more than 7:00 am because there is a Sales Room for Time Share on the floor right above and the noise of chairs moving and walking around was just too loud. They need to either put some carpet down to reduce the annoying noise or move the sales room to a different area. Also, the sales pitch when you are ready to check in. People should have a choice to ask, instead of be bother.

Review 112：The shuttle company named Best Day needs to change their names to " worst day". We were not happy that they are associated with this wonderful resort Gran Caribe Real. From the get go the staff was very disrespectful and hence was trying to sell staff to us. On our way home we requested shuttle back to the airport and non of them were cooperative. We are refereeing to their staff who worked on the 14th 8a-1 pm. The lady sitting behind the desk was so rude.

Review 113：We stayed there for three nights. The reception was very good. initially we were told they run out of the kind of bed we reserved and offered us different options. There came in Mr. Angel Puc, ( Way to be a manager Mr. Puc!) He made us feel good by offering a walkout beach front room with the kind of bed we initially requested. You can't beat that.

Food was good for the price, seems like some people who write these reviews expect 5 star restaurant quality, but not at an all inclusive like this. Drinks also readily available and easy to get, no need to sign for them, they just look for your wristband.

Review 127：The staff was amazing! The size of the lobster dinner in the lobby restaurant Maria's was the size of your head. The 410 pesos which was 35 dollars was beyond affordable. The room had such a nice Vila feel. The sheer curtains hanging over the bed the balcony off my room overlooking the garden and the ocean! I truly was pleased and working for an airline company and seeing the world this was one of my top 5!

Review 128：Tread carefully around spring break; the resort needs to decide whether it wants to be a high-end family resort or a college party spot in March/April. We visited with our younger kids and they loved the pirate ship pool, water slides and playing on the beach, but there was also a lot of public intoxication, loud partying at all hours, and at least one bathroom sink next to the main buffet restaurant that was filled with vomit. I get that it's Cancun and a hotel has only so much control over its guests (college-aged or otherwise), but the Jagermeister beach party area (with thumping midday bass) may not be the way to go if you're aiming for families. Probably a great place to visit most seasons, but I'd look elsewhere for spring break with young kids.

Review 129：GCR has a great beach and an outstanding staff that did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Our room wasn't overly fancy but had a fantastic view.

Review 130：The drinks were below average and I wish they had a snack bar where you could just pick up some nachos or other basic items.

Review 133：Friendly staff, nice facilities, beautiful sunrise and awesome view of the ocean from room. Ocean front suite room. We brought back fish from our fishing trip and one of the chefs grilled it for us, it was amazing!

Review 134：During out last night we stayed in rooom 2730 which had two double beds and a walk out to the beach. The room was gourgeous. Unfortunatley, there was a wedding being held in the hotel and our room was very close to the reception area. The music was extremely loud and kept us up for a least three hours. But other than that, we really enjoyed the view in that room. Also, we ordered room service. We got a bacon burger and frys. I think that was the best meal we had the whole time we stayed at the hotel.

Review 135：Very good location. There are a few restaruants withing walking distance of the hotel. The beach front view is stunning. The food was not good at all. My kids did not care for any of the restaurants within the hotel. There were plenty of choices for food but none were especially tasty. Perhaps this is to be expected with an all inclusive?. Staff was friendly and accomodating.

Review 136：Our booking was made via Booking .com. When we arrived we were informed that the room we booked was sold to other customers. Their reason was that we made no downpayment on the room.

Review 137：The staff that greeted us were quite rude in demanding us for our passports when he couldn't even confirm whether we can check in or not - despite us showing confirmation from bookings.com. This was sorted out only when we asked to speak to the supervisor - about 30mins wait. The food and drinks are all included but don't expect quality. The food in all restaurants were quite below the standard expected from a 5 star hotel. The cleanliness of the hotel is quite average. We noticed that the only thing 'cleaned'in our room was the bed on the second night.On checkout, the staff found us to be a bother when we had asked about taxi fares to the airport...glad we didn't stay for more than two nights.

Review 138：The ocean view from your room. Great beach. Good arrange of free activities.

Review 139：The hotel was so crowded and quite noisy in the corridor and hall. Every morning, there is a maintainer repiring something outside our balcony, no privacy at all.
