Reviews for Hotel Agua Escondida
Review 1:What on earth are those pillows made from? They are like rocks!!
Review 2:Great view from terrace bar and rooftops. Very central and easy to zip in and out during the day.
Review 3:Being located on the zocolo, there will always be more noise, but the loud music late at night from a band is not acceptable that made it hard to sleep. Yes, I know that it is MEXICO, but if Taxco wants to attract a high level of tourism and have them return, it must pay attention to thinks like noise and traffic.
Review 4:Excellent price in the best location. The staff and restaurant are outstanding. Will return.
Review 5:Bed could have been more comfortable, there was some noise from the street (probably only in rooms facing outward), but these are only minor things
Review 6:Excellent location, beautiful property, good restaurant
Review 7:It was sometimes a bit loud (larger Hotel with day Travellers Passing by), but only annoying if you are sensitive to it
Review 8:The Place is Directly located in Front of the cathedral. You can drive there And the friendly staff helps you to the nearby Public Parking (only 60 Pesos/ 24 hrs), if you get a good room you have a great view of the Center (i had 51, which was good enough), but not on the cathedral Directly, the Pool is great: a bit hidden between houses, but you have full Sun between 11am and 4pm And on One side you have the Best view on the cathedral, on the other side Perfect view of the Cristo Monument
Review 9:The room was too small for both the double and single bed it contained. With only one bed it would have been fine. The blanket was too small to cover us both in the rather small double bed, but we told them of this and it has probably been corrected. Sunday brunch in the hotel restaurant was very good but unfortunately allowed or invited a mariachi pair to regal us with very loud music.
Review 10:Location excellent right by the zocalo. Very quiet room and well appointed. Lots of options to enjoy in the hotel such as swimming pool, various terraces, especially the bar terrace overlooking the gorgeous Cathedral. The room had a nice view and windows that opened.
Review 11:Be ready for all the offers you will be getting along the city to visit the different Silver stores and touristic attractions.
Review 12:the location of the hotel is right in front of the main square. The hotel has lot of rooms and stairs
Review 13:Excellent location beautiful views and very comfortable room
Review 14:wifi is really bad and service can be slow.
Review 15:we had a nice room with a balcony, which overlooked the town.
Review 16:Bed & pillows!
Review 17:Location. Views. Bar.
Review 18:They forget about our welcome drink (so did we) :(
Review 19:Great location, clean and cozy, amazing views from terrace.
Review 20:Location Friendly staff Good restaurant Nice terrace
Review 21:Nice small hotel at the convenient location. Has nice view!
Review 22:Out of control patrons being extremely loud in the middle of the night.
Review 23:Location was great. Restaurant served excellent food.
Review 24:Small bed, dirty bathroom, no hot water.
Review 25:The hotel was very well located to all the tourist attractions
Review 26:Service in restaurant at breakfast time
Review 27:Location and view from terraces
Review 28:We arrived to a staff member having an argument with a guest. Bed hard and uncomfotable. Swimming pool access is long and maze like, many stairs. Staff unable to use credit card machine to allow us to pay, and then took 20minutes to make cash transaction Noisy , inside and outside hotel. Indifferent, unfriendly staff We moved after 2 days to a hotel which was excellent.
Review 29:Restaurant
Review 30:The bed was hard so I used the duvet folded into 3 to act as a thin mattress on top of the hard one. The food in the restaurant (breakfast) and in the terrace restaurant/bar (dinner) was rather tasteless and could definitely be improved. These are negatives but they are outweighed by the positives!
Review 31:The location was excellent with an amazing view from various parts of the hotel as well as from its terrace restaurant/bar of the town and Santa Prisca church. The staff were friendly. The room was very clean as was the bathroom. The hotel had a very local feel so did not have the homogenous feel of many global hotel chains. I would definitely go back to stay despite some of my negative comments about food and bed!
Review 32:No private parking. Where you can stand car, the large and heavy suitcases very far away (a parking garage, which is free for hotel guests).
Review 33:Location!! Next to the main square. It was nice staff. Panoramic terrace. Correct room.
Review 34:Bit run down, both in rooms and in all communal areas. Indifferent desk staff. Bathrooms in desperate need of a makeover.
Review 35:Location excellent. Price also good. Great water pressure.
Review 36:Noisy! But right in the middle of things so noise is inevitable! Wish the rooms came with coffee makers, refrigerators and a safe.
Review 37:Very clean hotel, excellent location, right in the middle of the zocalo. Nice restaurant and terrace bar.
Review 38:Part of why we chose this hotel was due to great reviews of the restaurant and bar. Unfortunately both were in the middle of a remodel at the time of our visit.
Review 39:We loved the architecture and the furniture in the room was lovely. The cafe had great food and the view and atmosphere was amazing.
Review 40:Only one small soap for two people. Just bath towels. We asked for extra hand towel and brought one mosre bathe towel. Bath is small and looks old.
Review 41:Location. View. Breakfast at hotel (It was not included).
Review 42:Many members of staff were neither welcoming nor helpful. Front desk wasbrusque (but not always). Left waiting for long time to use laundry andgave up. Ignored in restaurant. Finally, conversion rate was too highfrom $us to Peso. When you consider $80 per night, the extra profit theymake from exchange rate is substantial.
Review 43:Very clean, attractive, spacious and comfortable. Good location
Review 44:It's a large hotel with many rooms, not many with the fantastic viewof the terrace, we were at the back of the hotel where the outlookcompletely lacked privacy. The rooms are basic and quite dated, the onlylinen supplied was bath towels.
Review 45:Excellent location on zocala next to the cathedral, shops andrestaurants. Large rooms, helpful staff, and a good restaurant. Americanbreakfast served for a good price. A terrace with an outstanding view.
Review 46:The rooms are small and VERY basic. The hotel is very noisy - city traffic, school across the street and paper-thin walls.
Review 47:It's roof top terrace is beautiful and a great way to start your day.
Review 48:Not so comfortable
Review 49:Location
Review 50:Bed hard and pillows to heavy
Review 51:Fantastic location and restaurant, great surroundings.
Review 52:A lot of stairs, not elevator option.
Review 53:Great location! Very good instalations...
Review 54:The ventilation could improve, the parking lot is chaotic
Review 55:nice, cozy, in an excellent location, nice amenities
Review 56:Too many stairs not good for senior citizens
Review 57:The location and access to taxies
Review 58:Bathroom needed more room for toiletries.
Review 59:Location is excellent. Mexican charm abounds. Good food in restaurant (breakfast).
Review 60:Stairs Pool
Review 61:Location Views Restaurant
Review 62:The noise of the cars, even with the windows closed.
Review 63:Great view from the room over the center.
Review 64:Dirty bed spread, and blanket. Floor mats were dirty.
Review 65:Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, nice facility. Excellent location...hard to beat.
Review 66:Basic facilities, no air conditioning, no safe, situated on the square which makes it noisy at night
