Review 1：A private onsen would be nice, but the staff was able to book a private onsen at another hotel for us!
Review 2：The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the food for both breakfast and dinner was delicious and an amazing value, the onsen was spacious and clean, and the location was perfectly placed in town. Loved this stay!
Review 3：If you are looking for a traditional experience in Japan you must come check out Kiriya ryokan. This place is great in all seasons! The rooms are huge and well facilitated and clean, the owner Ko is very sweet and speaks great English. She can assist you with everything even how you should spend the day. The ryokan is very peaceful, a backyard with a gorgeous zen feeling pond. The rooms have a great view of the nozawa town too! by day the living room is a table and floor seats but by night they transform it into your bed room. The best part of this ryokan is the onsen inside, it's natural hot water sizzles away stress and feels extremely relaxing, next door also has an out door onsen and you get a discount from Ko making the entrance fee only 450 yen. Dinner is also great, must try the shabu shabu or traditional kaiseki if you wanna fully embrace the traditional vibes. There is a ping pong table downstairs too. Thank you Ko and your entire staff for a great stay!!
Review 4：The shared bath was disappointing for an inn in this price range. The water was fine and it was well kept, but the lack of decoration and the pale-yellow tiling made for an unattractive atmosphere.
