Reviews for Great Parnassus Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
Review 1:The room was outdated and smelled like mold. There was visible mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. We were harassed constantly about purchasing a time share even after we repeatedly said we were not interested.
Review 2:The location and view was great.
Review 3:very old building old furniture old bath rusty bathtub stinky pillows not so good restaurant food very few drinks varieties noisy AC Not so cold AC very noisy AC machines from the neighboring hotel very old safe box with penalty if loosing lock strict number of towels +penalties if loosing one
Review 4:3 pools + 1 pool with play area bunk beds balcony + view
Review 5:The west side of the hotel is greatly affected by the air conditioning noise from iberostar hotel next door. It kept me awak at night. "Linda" the front desk manager, even though didn't appear friendly or smiling, did try to help and switched room for us.
Review 6:Noise from the constructions downstairs at 1 and 3 am. The staff promised to stop it but nothing happened. The wooden sun tent fall down in 2 inches from my head and no one even apologized. They just removed it on the side of the beach. Most of other tents in the same shape. People who wasting your time and asking you to come for a complimentary breakfast from the hotel in the VIP 10th floor lounge, get some discounts and to show us property. Instead of this you will get a breakfast in the main restaurant with a strange guy, one room of property instead of gym location. And then they are asking you to join the club to just $$$ and come to visit them again with friends. Wifi price is $15/night and $70/week, no free wifi in a lobby. Bottled water only if you ask it on the reception.
Review 7:Food Big room with a sea view Restaurants
Review 8:All the hotel overall was poor. Very old accommodations and poor maintance of all the facilities. Food very regular, spaces not nice and service ok
Review 9:Actually only the beach was very nice
Review 10:Veronica, the reservations manager was really rude and not willing to accept the mistake they did on their end. We had to wait 45 min for her to speak with us plus we also had to wait over 2 hours to get the issue solve. Had to wait between 30-45 min to get into the restaurants because they were always full
Review 11:Location was Great
Review 12:If you like Celine Dion and jack hammers late into the night, then this is the place for you! They play Celine Dion 20 times a day over the loudspeakers and they were doing construction with loud pounding until 11:30 PM on a Monday night.
Review 13:The bartenders were good and the drinks were decent
Review 14:- The hotel was very old, and the room cleanness was much worse than the photos in the website. - This was a fake 4-stars hotel. I would give it at most 2 or 3 stars. - Internet was $15 per device! This is ripping off the customers.
Review 15:The all inclusive option was great! I also liked the beach and pool areas.
Review 16:N/A
Review 17:We had a great time at this resort. Check-In was smooth. The location was great and the beach was amazing. The staff was friendly helpful no matter what time it was! We were a bit skeptical because, some of the reviews. However, this place is def value for your buck! Amilio was our favorite bartendar! I recommend this resort!
Review 18:Only had 4 elevators for 12 floors in the entire resort, had to wait a lot and full half the time.
Review 19:Location, Amenities, Restaurants, Cleanliness, and options for activities. Very impressed, it was amazing. Great bartender named Jorge who did tricks and yummy drinks. Also a great waiter at Big Ben restaurant his name was Taco, ask to sit with him let him know I recommended him, he is amazing.
Review 20:I travel extensively and this resort is definitely not anywhere near a 4 or 5 star or diamond by any means. Upon arrival I was told prior to booking that construction was completed. Upon arrival theres scaffolds everywhere at the entrance, drop cloths all over floor and ceiling open with yellow tape around it. My room was not a deluxe room, the view was horrible, the place looked like a ghost town, lights were off and very little guest. The receptionist stated that they would upgrade my room the next day but nothing happened. I did not make a fuss but vowed never to return or recommend this resort, it is very misleading. This is not what I expected, especially when I called booking and they called the resort which confirmed construction was over. The fan in the room did not work just very disappointed.
Review 21:The food was o.k. the staff was ok
Review 22:Food is really bad. No bottled water or sodas, the sodas from the machine taste horrible amd tap water as well. For this orice internet should be included. The swimming pools are not clean, too crouded.
Review 23:Some of the staff is super helpful. Gym is nice.
Review 24:The aircon system on ground floor was so noisy we were on 7th floor 718 and was if jet was taking off next to window and we wanted to stay extra two nights before finding out about aircon but would have asked to move to other side of building was told they cant and have to book online but could not get response from booking.com to get same rate we moved to westin directly opposite shopping centre as I am spg member
Review 25:Atmosphere
Review 26:beach area just in front hotel full of marine seaweed. At ck in even it is low season and you can easily notice hotel was not crowded were given a room humid and facing the service area of hotel. Room was in terrible condition.
Review 27:good restaurant option
Review 28:The Toilet space is too small. The linnen is of very poor quality. I would have loved a softer bed.
Review 29:I like the hotel on a whole. The staff was very courteous and always willing.
Review 30:The paid wifi. That was lame to pay $15/night or $30 for five days per device. We stayed for 6 nights and purchase the 5 days and coudn't connect in our room on the second floor. You have to go to the lobby if you want to check your Facebook or send an email. Very poor decision on this one.
Review 31:Convenience to downtown, the family entertainments, food choices, right in the water, unbelievably helpful staff.
Review 32:The breakfast room service did not always come as expected, the menu is confusing The door key had to be reprogrammed a few times which was annoying to get to the room and have to go back to the lobby to fix it The wifi works but is just slow, which we were warned about to begin with so not too bad
Review 33:All the staff was great!! The pools were so much fun The facilities were accommodating
Review 34:old, not renovated for years, at 5 a.m. you will hear all the screams of drunk guys in the bar and organized groups going to the airport, as all floors have open space inside the hotel
Review 35:Everything was great. Good variety of restaurants with wonderfull plates excellently served. Has a theater with shows every night.
Review 36:slow service... no water in room, no refrigerator in room..
Review 37:Good all inclusive service and kind employee..
Review 38:Front desk Staff was not friendly. Hotel room very very dated. Needs renovation. Food was just ok. Rest of staff tried hard.
Review 39:Location
Review 40:No WiFi but then that was a good thing not to be on the phones
Review 41:Free food and open bar
Review 42:Big problem Witherspoon A/C in al hotel areas and in the room,
Review 43:The food and all restaurants are excellent!
Review 44:Beds, we had 2 full size in our room, not great for couples. food was ok not great.
Review 45:beach and pool
Review 46:Need more activities for adults and restaurants on premise should have items available if they are on the menu.
Review 47:Nice resort , clean, and staff very friendly.
Review 48:When I booked this hotel on the booking.com site the hotel was indicated as a 5 star hotel with a 8.1 rating. I would strongly suggest that Booking.com remove 1 or 1.5 stars from the rating. Other than the reception area, the room I booked was very ordinary. If the room I had was representative of the majority , then it is clear that the majority of the rooms need renovations. I was on the 7th floor and the 3 elevators working made the waiting very long. I paid for in room WIFI, however, the reception in the room was so poor that I was not able to access my WIFI from my Room. The hotel did not really care and I was told to contact the provider of the service. Hello ! that is not my problem and I will contact my credit card provider to tell them that I never got my in room service. The reception personel did not give me adequate support. I love Kids however, had I known that 60% of the guests were under 10 years old I would have never booked this hotel. I have used booking.com for other reservations this is the first time that I am TOTALLY disappointed.
Review 49:The staff at the bars and restaurants were very pleasant. The lobby area was impressive.
Review 50:The restaurants and food were very bad. Also the staff seem to be not happy of working there and because of this not nice at all.
Review 51:The pools and beach are good.
Review 52:Very slow service, cleaning of the room was not regular, most of the dishes in restaurants is dirty, awful shower in the bath, consistent noise from the Iberostar's side.
Review 53:Rather good and varied food, nice beach, area of the room, animation for kids.
Review 54:internet cost money and it is very slow
Review 55:Nice price, good location
