Review 1：Room service a little too eager in the mornings and nearby church bells could be heard very loudly every morning starting from 7am

Review 3：The room had a balcony with a wonderful view of Stresa and the mountains beyond. The hotel is located in the old centre of the town and very close to the lakefront. The staff was helpful; the room comfortable and breakfasts more than adequate.

Review 17：Wonderful hotel to relax in Stresa and explore the region. The best location one could imagine, just a few steps from the beach, ferries, buses, 10 minutes from the railway station. Very good breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable and very room, picturesque view from the balcony. And what a pleasure to wake up with the beautiful melody from the nearest bell tower at 8 o'clock!

Review 18：Towels were dirty!! (poo stained) in both rooms, mine and my friends. This can't be coincidence. Absolutely disgusting. Never stay there again.

Review 22：I booked this for my mother-in-law and she loved the place and added two extra days to her stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was great. Her wifi stopped after a few days, but that was likely a "user" issue (that is, her confusion about something with her phone) and she didn't bother to ask the staff to help try to fix it.

Review 24：Great place to stay with good facilities for a weekend. Air conditionning was just the thing we needed since it was very hot.

Review 25：Checking in required quite a wait which normally wouldnt be a problem but on this occasion our 3 year old son had just sprayed perfume in his eyes from the point of sale displays positioned at toddler eye level on pavements in front of nearby perfumeries (watchout for this as its a real hazzard for small children) and was literally screaming and writhing in agony as we waited to be checked in (to get quick access to water to rinse his eyes). In this context noone appeared at reception for some time and other staff seemed complacent to the circumstances. Finally we had to ask a passing cleaner for access to the nearest wash basin which was in a room behind reception and with my son still screaming in my arms I was left to fight my way to it through cleaning equipment and baggage. When a gentleman then arrived at reception after a few minutes of non acknowledgement I asked to be checked in but he preferred to wait for "the man" (my husband) instead to come off his mobile before starting the check in process. So our check in experience wasnt the best under the circumstances. Neverthless I would recommend the hotel for the advantages highlighted.

Review 26：Location was great, right in the centre of Stresa and so amongst the restaurants and tourist shops - and 3 mins by foot to the lake front and local boat trips to the islands. Cleanliness, comfort and spaciousness of the family room we had was very good. It was great to have a bath and shower in the ensuite and a small balcony off the room. TV had multiple channels and it was nice to catch some British TV. Breakfast was of the standard continental variety and acceptable. We all had a good and comfortable nights sleep. The efficient WIFI was welcomed after 2 weeks of problematic WIFI access elsewhere. Everything seemed on par with the price. No regrets with the booking after our stay.

We would certainly recommend this as a base for getting around station 10mins walk maximum very close to square for restaurants and shops plus a gem of a bar straight opposite called al Buscion we will be back for certain

Review 35：Great location, friendly staff, our balcony was overlooking bell tower which was ringing every hour and red roof - very authentic! We asked for the same room again when we returned from Locarno and got the same view, unfortunately on second floor but it doesn't matter much. Location is in city center and close to ferries so really the best I do strongly recommend this hotel as top one! Definitely best in Stresa to stay if you want visit area!

Walls like paper so constantly disturbed by people talking out in the corridors or in the other rooms. Shower was very poor. English TV stations stopped working during stay.

Review 42：We arrived in the middle of the night with two small children and were welcomed and just felt good here. We even added an extra night onto our visit in Stressa! For the price it's probably one of the best value I have ever gotten in Italy. Would visit again!

Review 45：The fact that it was a smoking hotel so rooms smelt of smoke, this could not be remedied with air fresheners as cutains etc were steeped in it, and I had not realised when booking that this was the case.

Review 60：This family run hotel is very reasonably priced. The location is fantastic for Stresa. The restaurants nearby are great to explore. The bar on the opposite corner is perfect for ending the night out. The nearby church bells start ringing at 8am, but take it as part of the flavor of Stresa.

Review 105：We got to the hotel 1 short block from the beach and very excited. To find they gave our room away to a tour group. They set us up at an apt. Which were now to deal with another hotel at the top of town. Our room was at the top of town right next to the train. Clean room but not what we paid for. The women at the front desk told us were to go to meet someone else to get the key. Before I could get better directions she turned her back on me and acted mad and did not say a word to me. So we wondered the streets in the upper neighborhood looking for this women to help us dragging our luggage. I've traveled Italy for years and I can roll with most anything, Never been to Stresa, which I loved but was disappointed how this was handled.

Review 106：Upon arrival we were told our booked family room was not available & to squeeze 3 adults into another room would be to tight & so they moved us to an apartment alongside their sister hotel - the Hotel Meeting. Excellent self catering apartment facilities! Highly recommend staying in the apartments; Maurice room No. 1.

Review 111：The receptionist has bargained for us with a taxi driver when we arrived to the hotel and the taxi driver tried to cheat us. The manager/owner Alberto was advising us on bike routes and when it happened that the mountain lift is on maintenance several days during our stay he brought us with minivan to the mountains for free several times!!!
