Reviews for Dormy Inn Premium Nagoya Sakae
Review 1:The location is a bit difficult for the cab driver to locate.
Review 2:Our room was amazing, relatively big in a Japanese hotel standard. Everyone there was super helpful and made us feel at home!
Review 3:New hotel with everything you need as a boutique hotel. They have indoor and small outdoor Onsen. Free noodle at late evening. Clean and nicely decorated. Though room is not big, there is enough space to open two large luggages. Wifi is free and good connection. Location is one subway station away from Nagoya main station and 10 mins walking distance to shopping area.
Review 4:No, all facilities are excellent.
Review 5:Very clean and good location. Free raman is available to provide at 21:30-23:00. Will stay again if I travel to Nagoya next time!
Review 6:Staff has Poor English skills
Review 7:outdoor onsen, albeit a bit small, so comfy ! Very tidy Good access to Sakae shopping district Many new year activities organized by the hotel (Mochi making, sake) Free ramen super delicious
Review 8:The breakfast wasn't very well geared to westerners but that's to be expected.
Review 9:Spotlessly clean and modern room with everything you need. It looked brand new!
Review 10:Hot spring in the hotel is very worthy to enjoy after a long day walking in downtown. Close to the bus station to go to airport which is very convenient for travelers.
Review 11:The room may bit tiny and the lift slow. The free coffee in lobby if can end as the supper time will be great. It is extra charge for children under age 6 with no extra bed or meal is needed.
Review 12:The staff english is good. Airport bus stop just opposite the hotel, which very convinient. Nice supper provided.
Review 13:The hotel staff gave us some vouchers for recommended restaurants nearby. Well, we tried one such restaurant, and the food wasn't really worth the price. There is a shuttle to the station but available only in the morning. But the hotel staff did not tell us about this when we did the check-in.
Review 14:The room has good space compared with other hotels in other cities in Japan. There is a nice public bath available for guests. The soba served at night time was a nice touch to the stay.
Review 15:The local GPS was unable to guide our car to the correct location, perhaps the hotel is too new to be updated in the local GPS.
Review 16:The onsen, the laundry facilities and the free supper ramen!
Review 17:we had a tough time to locate the hotel via car (we drove) and the GPS couldn't locate the hotel phone and address. If hotel signage can be brighter, I believe it will help a lot.
Review 18:We like the Onsen, and the complimentary noodles. The staffs are courteous n helpful. Good location which is near to train station within walking distance.
Review 19:Lovely onsen. Small but clean and well stocked with amenities. Laundry facilities useful. Free ramen at night was a nice touch. Shuttle bus service was good as hotel was far from main station.
Review 20:The automatic light in the entryway of the hotel room, which we could not control or turn off, was a little annoying at night (but you can close the sliding door that leads to the entryway).
Review 21:We enjoyed the onsen, as well as the common room with free coffee and tea and the availability of washing machines. The vending machines had milk. The calm atmosphere and decor of this newer hotel is appealing. You are encouraged to wear hotel-supplied pajamas around the hotel. The breakfast for an additional charge was fabulous--many, many delicious choices.
Review 22:Only two and not serious: 1. this time staff was rather strange... don't know how to explain. Maybe not so friendly? But due to a wonderful girl who worked while my check in and out I gave 5 to "staff" 2. cleanness... no, room was clean BUT under the bed was a razor... well, why in Japan it's always so dirty under beds? it's a common problem...
Review 23:It's my second time in this hotel and yes, it's still my fav one. Eventhough I found out some weak points... But as I wrote previously "Once checked in I wanted to stay there forever". Location, facilities (including free laundry, free coffee, free noodles and so on), bus shuttle, everything is great!
Review 24:In the description, it said that the shinkansen stop at the station that is close to the hotel. That is not true - as this is only a metro stop. Minor detail! But important for those travelling with heavy luggage :)
Review 25:Wonderful hotel: clean, comfortable, close to the city center, friendly staff and close to the metro.
Review 26:Subway station has no escalators, so would suggest catching a taxi from Nagoya station if you have luggage
Review 27:Room a good size, hot springs on site a bonus. Free midnight ramen.
Review 28:Room is quite small, bathroom is small too, not too close to the metro exit
Review 29:A new hotel with very nice staff, convenient stores nearby, you can borrow an umbrella for free on a rainy day, didn't have time to try the free ramen though
Review 30:room was a bit small
Review 31:Super kind staffs who can communicate in English Various food options for breakfast Free hot spring was good to have relaxation
Review 32:The hotel is about 15 mins walk from the subway, which is a little far for us who were carrying two big suitcases. Plus a lot of the Japanese subway stations do not have escalator sending you directly to the ground. The free shuttle bus from the hotel to Nagoya station is only provided in the morning, which is no good from traveler who want to go to the station in the afternoon.
Review 33:The hotel is very new and clean. The room is small but enough for me. The shower is very compact. I see a lot of business travelers (including local Japanese business travelers) in the hotel. The front desk is very helpful and speak decent English. I did not try the hot spring but the late night noodles they offer for free was good.
Review 34:Nothing in particular but the double beds are a tad small. Seems like the norm in Japan
Review 35:Pretty convenient from Fushimi station but you need to know which direction to walk from exit 2. The hotel is newly renovated so rooms are small but very tastefully furnished with everything you need. There's even an air cleaner in the room and a dinner remote to change the lighting from warm to white light. Love! Free shuttle to Nagoya station it only operates in the morning
Review 36:Location is ok but not the most convenient around the area.
Review 37:V new, clean, modern bathroom and the room is spacious. Good facilities with ice-making machine, efficient fridge, hot spring etc. Friendly staff, free ramen, morning coffee n tea.
Review 38:Nothing
Review 39:Excellent location. The hotel has only opened recently and furnishings are brand new. The breakfast has a good choice of western and Japanese food. There are plenty of restaurants nearby..
Review 40:Bed is a bit small...we are not fat but can hardly sleep for the first night, but get used to the small size double bed the second night.
Review 41:Very modern and clean hotel with few minutes walk to subway and 20mins walk to shopping area. Comfort/ price is very high compare with other Japan cities.
Review 42:Excellent location. This is a new hotel so all the facilities and furnishings are brand new. The breakfast has a good choice of western and Japanese food. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the shopping district and restaurants. I'd definitely stay again. The staff have excellent English and are very helpful.
Review 43:best value business hotel (compared to others in Japan) close to subway and easily acessed from Nagoya station. Relatively large and clean rooms and great hot bath/ onsen
Review 44:Value for money, comfy and has great location, very close to fushimi subway, free lamen and bus service is a plus, and has excellent tradition Japanese bath
Review 45:Closest subway should be fushimi (5 mins by walk). Sakae is ~12mins by walk (without lugguages). Better to have free shuttle too from Nagoya station to hotel. Booked it quite late and price was a bit high then
Review 46:Good location. Free noodles at night. Free shuttle bus to Nagoya station in the morning. Good hot spring bath. Twin room is spacious. Everything is neat and new. Didn't use wifi and breakfast and so doesn't know if it is good
Review 47:The non-japanese front desk staff did not allow me to keep the luggage for two days as no reservation was made even though there was space, so I have to carry my luggage and store in main station.
Review 48:New hotel with good facilities. Free shuttle bus to nagoya main station. The driver is very polite.
Review 49:None
Review 50:Location is good, it is in between fushimi and sakae station and both in walking distance 5-8 mins, room is very clean and not too small. There is free hot spring facilities and also free noodles in the evening time. Free shuttle bus is also available from hotel to Nagoya station. Valued for money with very good service at all
Review 51:Quite expensive breakfast
Review 52:Suberb bath. Really clean and convinient accomodation, placement is geat as well. Complimentary hot beverages and night noodles. Beds are comfortable and big enough. Have to recommend.
Review 53:need to walk ard 5-10 min from mtr station
Review 54:Onsen facility and room very clean and new. Private parking provided with cost, very convenient. Room with modern design. Free ramen provided during 9:30pm -11:00pm.
Review 55:the breakfast is little bit expensive
Review 56:The room is big. Have everything you need in the room. The staff is very helpful. Great location near subway. Cheap cable TV.
Review 57:Only the matresses are too soft.
Review 58:Staff are nice. Onsen is great. Not too far away from subway station. Tourist bus stop nearby, easy to go to Nagoya Castle, 德川園 and Toyota. Free Ramen is yummy!
Review 59:Wifi is sometimes not stable.
Review 60:Hotel is clean and located in quiet part of the city. Room size is small but has efficient layout. Good breakfast. Free ramen at night. Like especialy the onsen facilities.
Review 61:The staff could not communicate at all in English. And I really mean ZERO. I can speak Japanese but it was painful watching the interactions with the other guests.
Review 62:The bath and sauna are AMAZING. I also went for a massage (about 50$ US for 1 hour, and it was excellent.) Don't miss the buffet breakfast with omelette station and waffles! There is a free noodle bar in the restaurant from 9:30 pm to 11:00 for a late-night snack. Walking distance to night life in Sakae (10 minutes.) Close to Fushimi (5-minutes) where there are a few pubs and restaurants as well. Very, very convenient with a twice-hourly shuttle bus to Nagoya Station.
Review 63:Hope they can make some better coffee. Useful tip: Starbucks is behind the building right next to the hotel.
Review 64:The hotel is new-opened, close to the subway station and a short walk to down town.
Review 65:Only one thing we did not like ( actually get nothing to do with this hotel) was the noisy from a small Thais group were using the Onsen, they did not care or respect to anyone privacy just only themselves. Somehow they might thought playing in the water park?
Review 66:we choose this hotel because of "Dormy Inns" that never disappointed us. The rooms, decorations are cozy and modern, Even the TV gives you a lot of useful information such as places to visit, it's crowded at the natural hot spring (Onsen). They also provide free pick up from the train station to hotel, hotel to train station.
Review 67:This hotel seemed newer and is very clean!! And the price was amazingly low for the value! There was a delicious place to get multiple types of ramen just across the street and was open late.
Review 68:The front desk staff was intentionally obtuse -- although I showed up an hour before check in time, I was able to get a room in less than five minutes, but not before I had to sit down and read a book in order to demonstrate that I wasn't going anywhere until I was checked in (it was raining). Later, I asked the front desk to mail something for me -- with prepaid postage -- and the clerk tried to tell me to take it to the post office myself, but acquiesced to my request -- but not before going to the back office to ask somebody. I've never had a hotel clerk refuse prepaid mail before.
Review 69:The hotel is quite new, facilities are immaculate, and the rooms are, while small, thoughtfully designed to make the most of the limited space. A 5 minute walk from the nearest metro station, this hotel is a reasonable choice for a short stay in Nagoya. I would willingly stay here again.
Review 70:Nothing. I like everything.
Review 71:Friendly and very helpful staff who will try their best to give directions when asked. I enjoyed their onsen and free coffee, tea and noodles (from 9.30pm to 11pm). Room is clean and comfortable and I will definitely come back again.
Review 72:Yes, since I stayed here it became my favorite hotel!! There weren't any comments on it while booking because it's a new one, so I was a little bit worry about it. But the hotel exceeded all my expectations! Nice - I mean really nice! - design, friendly and helpful staff, great location. Even coffee is delicious! Once checked in I wanted to stay there forever) 最高のホテルですよ。
Review 73:- the shower room is small and only for function (there is a hotel public bath that I did not get to use but looks nice)
Review 74:- quiet even though center of city - new facilities, only opened a month ago - efficiently made small design room that is functional and nice design - good bed and very nice pillows - very clean and nice amenities - good location, easy to find - cool parking system - check in check out efficient and can leave bags at front desk while walking around - good price
