Review 3:The place feels like home. I really enjoy the time in this guesthouse, where I met a lot of people. The bed, living are also very comfortable. The young staff are very friendly. Will back to this guesthouse again if I back to Sapporo.
Review 4:Karaoke until 12 and even later, very noisy and disturbing
Review 5:very helpful staff, nice atmosphere, good bunk beds with huge space, great facilities altogether
Review 6:no breakfast. a shoe rack near the door quite disturbing because of the smell. quite far from station.
Review 7:the staffs very kind and helpfull. i stayed in female dorm but still had privacy because there's a partition and curtains in every bed. i stayed in summer. no air con in the room. fortunately my bed next to the window, so i opened the window. overall, waya is a good place to stay!
Review 8:I came to check in at Waya with my friend, whose dog tagged along, and the manager, Rin immediately welcomed the both of us, and delighted at the dog. The location may be a little outside the main tourist area, but that made it a great refuse from the shopping district. Located just two blocks away from the Toyohira river, Waya does well at giving visitors a sense of Sapporo's keen focus on being close to nature. Chatting with the staff was one of my best experiences I have had in Japan thus far. Warm, inquisitive, and open-minded folk.
Review 9:It is a bit removed from the city but subway and bus is not too far away.
Review 10:I've stayed in a few places around the world and Waya is amongst the cleanest and most comfortable. However this place is so much more than just that, it has an amazing atmosphere! The staff are always eager to help, people in the neighbourhood frequently drop in for a drink and the place always feels lively and welcoming.
Review 11:WiFi could do with password to stop people from outside of the guesthouse using it as it was sometimes patchy
Review 12:It really did feel like a home from home, met and spoke to loads of people too!
Review 13:They didn't have air con in the dorms which made it uncomfortable in the heat.
Review 14:Staff were friendly and helped with things to do in the area. Nicely located and easy enough to get to from the airport
Review 15:nothing
Review 16:Real nice staff,I missed my iPad in the hotel, they kept it and emailed to inform me to take back.the room is clean and the design is full of humanity, there is a stocket for each user beside the bed while many youth hostel dont provide each one a socket
Review 17:Very steep stairs to enter the very small vestibule cluttered with shoes. The bathroom facilities are in different places: toilets in the vestibule, shower and sinks in view of the lobby. Small unorganized kitchen. Only 6 mos old so a bit rough around the edges.
Review 18:The staff were friendly, engaged, and spoke English.
Review 19:A distance walk to subway, but not too far.
Review 20:I stayed in Guesthouse Waya for a week. The mangers and staffs are nice and helpful. They are always ready to help you. Also, they cooked Japanese dinners for their guests. I was warm welcomed. Also, there were many solo-travelers from many countries. I traveled with them to some places in Sapporo and Otaru. I never felt lonely here.I would definitely stay here for a next time.
Review 21:Great staff who go above and beyond to help answer questions and make you feel welcome. They created an environment in this hostel that allows everyone to interact easily. Often eating or drinking together in the evening and making opportunities to have a good time.
Review 22:The staff seem to have different information add of price
Review 23:The staff gave I us free canoe trip. Were very friendly. And free lamb bbw. Then you so much . There is also free snacks and alcohol for you.
Review 24:One of the best atmospheres of any hostel I've stayed at. Everyone was really relaxed and friendly - very open to socialising. Staff were more than happy to help with anything required. I needed to line dry some clothes (thermals) and they set up an air dryer just for me! Only have one shower, I thought this would be an issue but it wasn't. Never needed to wait for the shower.
Review 25:Had a great dinner with staffs and other travellers at hostel. Everybody was so friendly and kind. And clean facilites, comfortable bed and more. Perfect place to stay!!
Review 26:Don't even know where to start. When I just arrived I was just tired and wanna rest but as I went in the common room, guests and staffs started having funs and games. And I joined and every thing since then just went hectic. Picture this, going to a school camp with no adults and constantly incoming new friends
