Review 1：The warmth and hospitality of Jacobo, his family and staff is unsurpassed. They will go out of their way to accommodate your needs. The food quality is excellent.
Review 2：Cakes at breakfast was not what we were used to but we understand they are an Umbrian speciality. Would suggest some fruit salad or toast as an alternative.

The old century house was aformer military fort made into a house with all original walls andfloors and is absolutely gorgeous. You feel like you have stepped backin time. The service is like a 5 star hotel. The owner and his sonwelcome you to their home and make you feel welcomed the entire time.And my lord, the food! You will be doing yourself a disservice if you donot have at least dinner one night here. A homemade 5 course mealawaited us, with homemade cheese, oil olive from their farm and theirvery own prosciutto and salami processed by the family with endless wineand dessert. Hands down, one of the best meals we had during our Italyvacation. I would not miss out on the experience of staying in this bnb.My recommendation is to stay at least 3 nights, drive around Umbria andTuscany to do wine tastings, visit Assisi and Spello and make sure youmake dinner reservations only to wake up a couple hours later to anotherhomemade breakfast and coffee and relax under to the beautiful Umbriaview of the olive trees at Bastione. Absolutely divine.
