Reviews for Vessel Inn Sapporo Nakajimakoen
Review 1:The aircon instructions were in Japanese so we couldn't operate it effectively. This wasn't a major problem and I suppose staff would have been happy to provide instructions if asked.
Review 2:The room was large by Japanese standards. Location was very good. the hotel was within 100 m of the subway and only a 15 minute walk to the centre of Sapporo. Breakfast was largely Japanese but also catered for European and American tastes: it was very good value for money.
Review 3:Breakfast is western or Japanese. The western breakfast is underwhelming and not filling at all. What you get is nice, but not sufficient for a day in the snow.
Review 4:The hotel is right next to the train station and bus stops to go to the ski fields which are only 10 minutes away. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and some have great English.
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:Hotel is clean and comfortable. Staffs are always helpful and professional, although their English is fair but try very best to provide information to you always. Room is big and cozy. This is my 3rd time to stay at Vessel inn Nakajimakoen. Excellent location by walking 2mins to Nakajimakoen station(exit2) and easy to walk to Susukino and Tanukikoji within 10-15mins. Although it is not a big hotel but room is rather big and clean. You can open the windown if you want fresh air. Breakfast is good and free coffee is avaible at the lobby floor. Good room, excellent location and good rate, Vessel inn Nakajimakoen is my best choice and highly recommended to everyone.
Review 7:Near to minimart. Coin operated washer and dryer at lvl 1. Free coffee which kids enjoyed. Close to air port shuttle bus stop. Close to subway...walking distance to food places. Wonderful.
Review 8:The shops bars and interesting nightlife is about 15 mins walk away if you dont want to take subway
Review 9:Decent size room for 2 adults with 2 children very clean Self service laundry facility no frills good value for money very near a subway station at nakajima park
Review 10:Nothing. It would be great if the hotel can offer complimentary ride to the JR SAPPORO Station.
Review 11:Cleanliness of the room. Sumptuous breakfast spread. Subway station is just a minute round the corner.
Review 12:extra time is needed for getting reach your car once you parked it and need the hotel's staff to help you.
Review 13:very convenient to MTR station, just walk 3-4 minutes. Coin laundry is avaliable, it's good for long trip traveller. The room size is satifactory. Nearby convenient store and a shop for beef grill.
Review 14:The staff were so helpful. Fabulous breakfast. So close to the subway station and the bustling nightlife district of Susukino. Modern room with plenty of space for 3 adults. Perfect place to stay for our last night in Sapporo. Times Car Rental drop off point for our car was right next door.
Review 15:All was ok.
Review 16:We only had one night at the Vessel Inn, professional, well appointed reception are with friendly staff. Location was convenient to the subway after an easy change from JR in Sapporo. Regarding our room - we were offered an upgrade to a twin bed at a small extra charge which we accepted.
Review 17:No
Review 18:Hotel staffs are fully service-minded. Breakfast is very good while the location of the hotel enables us to travel to any destination in Sapporo easily.
Review 19:Good location; very close to subway station. Rooms were clean and good-sized. Breakfast buffet venue and food were fantastic! Stayed in bigger hotels in Japan, and thought Vessel Inn Sapporo's buffet was better than theirs; more original and more yummy! Would definitely stay here again!
Review 20:The staff is very efficient but lack of smile and the table top in our room is full of dust. I have to wipe all the table top including headboard when we check into our room.
Review 21:Location next to park with playground and kids theater. Spacious room in affordable price and the generous choice of breakfast.
Review 22:We decided last minute to extend our stay for 4 more hours as we had a night flight. Its a shame we were ended up paying a price thats double of a night. The male staff could not communicate well in english but a female front desk staff who could speak mandarin explained the situation to me when i asked the next day. I hope they can give me suggestions in such situation and show some empathy.
Review 23:Good wifi, great water pressure for shower, good location, no disturbance, sufficient toiletries, good room size, space for wardrobe, stroller for loan and self service laundry. All these things are greatly appreciated by us. Thank you.
Review 24:Rooms are quite small
Review 25:Slightly away from Odori and JR Sapporo stations but just next to Nakajimakoen which is only 2-3 stops away. Friendly staff and accommodating as we wanted phone numbers to key into the car's GPS - this information was provided very efficiently. Good wi-fi connection.
Review 26:There is no inroom wifi, the only wifi access is on the 1F but not very stable. The hotel was far front the JR, it is going be a hard walk if you have luggages because the road to the hotel is not very smooth.
Review 27:The staffs were very hospitable and helpful. The hotel is near the Otrau River and the main streets of travel spots. Hotel lobby was nice and layout of 1F is Japanese style. There is a very cozy erea which has sofa ,speakers and books for you to read.
Review 28:I like everything in this hotel. Feeling so luxurious, comfy, and brand-new. The location is super good. Just a few minutes from Nakajimakoen subway station. Staff are professional and well-trained. Thump up for the hotel. Highly recommend to everyone.
Review 29:Unbelievable buffet seafood breakfast, gifts from the front desk, new room, near to the metro station and the airport bus station, and very reasonable room price
Review 30:The room we pick is quite narrow, it is better after you remove the single sofa and table.
Review 31:Reception staff is able to communication in English. Though the room maybe a bit narrow, it is acceptable, tidy and close to Susukino. Recommand if you are finding a great place with a reasonable price.
Review 32:Very small room. On the contrary of other reviews, i found that check in staff is not too friendly and speaks limited english.
Review 33:Clean, new, near to subway
Review 34:Stayed for 1 night in mid May. Yamaguchi was great in helping us when we arrived before checkin time. She has excellent English (look for her if others struggle to understand more complicated questions).
Review 35:We ordered a double room and it is very small. the size of the room is basically as large as the size of the bed. The bed is like a full size bed. If you are traveling with large luggage or as a couple, please upgrade to room with two twin size bed.
Review 36:The hotel is also very close to the red light distract in Sapporo, also three metro stops away from the train station. The staff is very helpful and friendly and there is a cute reception who speak flawless English which is very Rare in japan. also the hotel is very close to the airport shuttle stop, if you are traveling with large luggages and don't want the trouble to carrying those, you can take the shuttle and it is more convient but taking twice much time.
Review 37:None.
Review 38:Friendly and helpful staff, clean and relatively spacious room, fresh modern design, great location, free use of bicycles, fantastic breakfast and great coffee. Next time we come back to Sapporo, this will be our go to hotel. Meanwhile we will put Vessel Inn hotels in Japan very high on our list when travelling next to Japan.
Review 39:Walking to and from the hotel was a bit difficult because the icy streets near the hotel were not cleared immediately.
Review 40:The hotel is very close to the subway station and convenience stores.
Review 41:poor English speaking staffs
Review 42:hotel clean and great facilities with 3 separate room for toilet, washing basin and bathroom, we stayed in 4 person in a room, space quite convenient with sofa and table to sit and chat. location is just 2 min walk across the train station.
Review 43:The room was small but it was to be expected in Japan.
Review 44:My friend and I booked Vessel hotel last minute because we changed our travel plans. We picked it because of the good reviews, and they weren't lying! This place is clean and new. The location is only slightly off from the main part city but still close (also the train stop is literally a right turn away). They have very good wifi, and beds were comfy. Also, as my friend and I was female, they gave us a lot of amenities! There were masks, facial cleanser, moisturiser, you could even rent a face steamer! 10/10 would recommend!
Review 45:They have everything, even welcome drinks and some gifts, the room was neat, clean, and full of facilities, conveniently located next to station exit, and for all that convenience, the rent is considerably cheap.
Review 46:The room is a bit small.
Review 47:This hotel seems to be new, and overall it is very clean. The bed is quite comfortable. The staff at the reception can speak decent English, and one of the ladies can even speak some Mandarin. Location-wise, it is very close to the Nakajima-koen metro station, which is 3 stations away from JR tower.
Review 48:Beds hard, even for Japan Front staff had basically no English. Hotel seems to cater mainly for locals, not overseas tourists.
Review 49:Room some was excellent for Japan. Family of four, we got two twin rooms rather than one quad room. Same price. Good location, close to,subway, easy walk to downtown etc.
Review 50:Room little bit small..but still ok
Review 51:The hotel consider new. Clean. Relatively close to everywhere. Lawson just in front of the hotel. Breakfast good value for the money. Price reasonable.
Review 52:Location is fantastic, 2min walk to train station and 3min walk to the airport bus station!! Staff were also extremely helpful! Will definitely stay here if I return to sapporo!
Review 53:Limited fruits available for breakfast. Only 3 types - orange, lemon and grapefruit slices.
Review 54:Location is very close to train station. Room is spacious and clean. Size is good for family of 4. Breakfast is good spread.
Review 55:Having to leave but the good thing was heading South to enjoy another 15 days that Japan has to Offer.
Review 56:If you need to see what Sapporo has to offer this is a great location - close access to subway - great distance for walking to Main Stations and Tower. The Brewery Museum and have dinner at Genghis Khan worth trip. Also caught a Baseball game at Sapporo Dome (All Star game 5 ) walking there in the snowflakes beautiful !!!
Review 57:WiFi was regularly disconnecting.
Review 58:Very friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable and fairly large room. Excellent sound insulation. Conveniently located at 50 m from Nakajimakoen park and metro station. Possibility to rent a bike at the hotel (no charge for less than 3 hours)... but beware that there no street name in Japan! Good breakfast buffet.
Review 59:The staff was all friendly. The rooms are clean and the location is excellent. Located next to Susukino and the Nakajima Koen station (2 stations from Sapporo Station). I highly recommend this!
Review 60:If need to pick... would say add more variety of breakfast... generally nothing to pick on...
Review 61:Good location (near train station). 2 Lawson nearby for late night snacks & drinks. Breakfast was reasonable Japanese breakfast. Staffs courteous and able to converse basic English. Clean set of bathrobe was left outside the room everyday if cleaning was rejected.
Review 62:there was one night during sleep the power went out and the generator was rolling all night long. the hotel gave no explaination at all. bad stay. also the bed is not comfy at all.
Review 63:comfy toilet ; )
Review 64:Room is not so big (yet already bigger than what we have later at Tokyo).
Review 65:I'm lucky out of the unluckiness. Due to unexpected weather, I missed one night stay in Sapporo, but hotel give me free cancellation. I'm really thankful for that. There are staff speak Chinese, it is much more easier to communicate with Chinese rather than English. You can do DIY washing with just 300 yens. The hotel lend me extra hangers. It is 2 stations away from sapporo and actually can be reached on foot (30mins?). The place is a big quiet especially day time. Tips: if you have bulky luggage, you should choose exit 1 rather than exit 2. Exit 1 is with lift, while exit 2 is pretty much close to the hotel (make a u-turn and walk for 5sec you will see the hotel sign). Sorry if I don't give too many excellent rating, but overall experience is nice.
Review 66:All good
Review 67:The hotel is in easy walking distance of a very large and well laid out park. You can also walk to the fish market and Odori area very easily. The train subway is right across the road.
Review 68:As we could not book the non-smoking room on time and ended up book the smoking room (all smoking rooms located in one floor). They helped us eliminate the smell. The room is also equipped with air cleaner. We felt the room just like non-smoking room. As this is quite a new hotel, it is very clean, quiet, well-equipped and comfortable. Coin- washing is also available. We enjoyed the breakfast very much, a mixture of japanese and western style. It is well located opposite the nice Nakajimakoen park. The subway exits to the Nakajimakoen station are only 2 minutes walking distance. Only two stations to the Sapporo JR station & JR Tower. One station to the hot night life Susukino station. Super convenient! We stayed 3 nights. Highly recommend.
Review 69:-- It was a bit hard to find (but that's mostly the problem of Sapporo's funky street address system!)
Review 70:-- Hotel staff! Welcoming and friendly and helpful. -- Good facilities in a modern building. Excellent wifi.
Review 71:Our Economy Double bed is sized a little bit too small for 2 adults, but it was well within our expectations when making the reservation.
Review 72:From Nakajimakoen station (for heavy luggage the exit has an elevator), the hotel is just a few minutes walk away. On a cool weather day, it is a pleasant 5-7 minutes stroll to the Susukino entertainment area. Hotel reception staff were very polite and pleasant. Wifi signal was very strong throughout our stay. Loved the shower strength and easy utilisation. Air-conditioning was also adequate during our summer night sleep-ins. Given the reasonable pricing, this is a value-for-money hotel for those uninterested in the extra frills of a hotel stay.
Review 73:We were hoping for a bit more space than your average business hotel for the price. The "double bed" might feel a little cramped if you're not a Japanese-sized couple or you like a bit of room. Not a lot of space for a big suitcase or lots of luggage. I don't think the staff speaks a lot of English, but I'm just putting this out there, and not as a complaint.
Review 74:The hotel had clean rooms, nice amenities (available at front desk), and a good Japanese/Western mix breakfast buffet the next morning. We appreciated the refrigerator in the room for chilling drinks. It was a convenient walk (about a minute) from exit #2 at Nakajimakoen Station. Nearby there was a post office open on weekdays and two convenience stores. We had no problems with the wi-fi, and there's even a free desk PC booth usage for guests downstairs in the lobby. Staff were friendly and we didn't have any problems. Outlets were conveniently located in the room as well.
Review 75:The wifi is sometimes difficult to connect.
Review 76:very close to the MRT station, hotel stuff try the best to serve the customer. It makes a good memory in our Sapporo visit.
Review 77:Nice, helpful staff; super clean and very good facilities in room; fantastic breakfast buffet; excellent value for money. 2 min walk to subway station, 4 min into the Park.
Review 78:Poor service by not ready our triple room with extra bed. Charged triple room rate with an extra bed without bedframe in double room. Not allowed us to get additional pillow.
Review 79:Spacious (for Japanese standards) twin room; excellent condition - appeared recently renovated; good location - convenient for subway and close to Nakajima park as well as the nightlife district (including Sapporo's famous ramen alley).
Review 80:good location, convenient and friendly staff. overall a good stay experience
