Reviews for Villa Poggio

Review 1:A bit too far from mthe train station, that we have to hire a car to the train station, then take the train into Florence.

Review 2:Location and overall facility.

Review 3:We really enjoyed the huge living room and its antique style. Making a fire in the big fireplace was a very nice experience, not only for my son. The owner was very hospitable and friendly. The landscape around the villa is also gorgeous. It’s a pity that we could not stay longer.

Review 4:The place is indeed impressive. It is huge, quiet, clean, and located atop a hill so that you get the most astonishing views. The estate around the castle is fabulous and the view on the Toscana landscape breathtaking. Staff were extremely welcoming, and he does everything to make your stay even more unique

Review 14:A very old Building so you have to think about that it is Not comfortable like an 5 Star Hotel. But for us no Problem. You can have a nice Time there with a very good glas of wine and you can enjoy the view,

Review 15:Friendly contact, very nice view over these nice Place, very nice organic whine, nice pool, nice retourant near the hotel

Review 16:Although we had overall good experience there were some flaws. The weather was not really summery in the beginning of May yet so the apartement got really really cold. Future guests be aware of the fact that the heating is not included in the booking price and its payed according to consumption. I was quite confused to realized that not only heating but also water and stove operates on gas and there was only one gas meter - which in fact ment that we probably payed not only for the heating but also for hot water and stove gas. I wouldnt even mentioned it if it was not over 40 euros for 3 nights, which is quite a lot. Secondly the internet was not working 2 days out of our 3 days stay in Villa Poggio, which was probably providers fault but it did complicate our stay, since some of us had to work a little bit in the evenings.

Review 17:We visited Tuscany this spring - we loved Villa Poggio. The villa is a beautiful historical property in the middle of Tuscan hills. The apartement we stayed in (two bedrooms one bathroom) was very spacious, the bedrooms were normal size but the common room with a kitchen and dinig area was huge. The kitchen was clean and very well equiped. The owner was extremelly friendly and helpful - he was really trying very hard to make sure we had a pleasant trip, which we highly appreciated.

Review 18:Weather didn't let us to swim - so it's a good reason to come again in summer)

Review 19:Enrico and his wife are amazing people - very helpful and positive) Relaxing place, quiet and beautiful! Close to Florence, close to outlets, a lot of vineries around...

Review 20:We loved everything!

Review 21:Villa Poggio was AWESOME, I wish we could have stayed longer...4 nights was too short! If you are looking for an authentic Tuscan experience I would highly recommend this property. I work in the tourism industry and do a lot of travelling and can honestly say this one is something special, it has the x factor that you cant buy, its all in the experience. The staff were friendly, warm and very helpful. We arrived late on our first day and it was a bank holiday so all the shops were closed. The family that lives onsite were kind enough to put together a few ingredients that we could use to cook some dinner and to see us through till the next morning when we could get to the shops. The meal was delicious:-). The view was spectacular, the villa was clean, comfortable and well equip. They have a little shop onsite with organic, home made products like olive oil, wine and pasta which are fantastic! We will be back and next time for longer. Thank you for a great holiday.

Review 22:Gas for the heating not included in the price...might not be a big issue if you come during the summer.

Review 23:Quiet, hstoric environment with nice view, close to Firenze. With fireplace for barbecue, you better make friends with the butcher in the village!

Review 24:Beautiful place. The owner is extremely kind and welcoming. Beautiful park around the property

Review 25:A little bit cold

Review 26:Great place surrounded by a peaceful and silent atmosphere

Review 27:Great place, great view and very nice vacations. Old villa with friendly owners, great food and I would recommend everyone to try this place.
