Reviews for Neya Lisboa Hotel

Review 1:The sliding bathroom door would not close. The beds were very hard. The lighting in the bedroom was poor and the window very small left the room dark in the brightest of days.

Review 2:Excellent breakfast Good Mini bar Good location Reasonably priced Clean

Review 3:The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Miguel really helped with the maps and directions for all my destinations. Food was good too, and wifi was fast. Overall, good price, and good offer.

Review 4:i book the suite for 2 night when i check in I can not get the suite and night staff took too long time for check in And he said the problem with the system .and the second day we have move to the suite room as we book but the reclining chair is was broken ,the hotel should fix it .before the guest get in .

Review 5:Good Location ,clean .friendly staff ,

Review 6:A great place to stay, with environmental-friendly innovative practices, a very helpful and friendly staff and quite reasonably priced for the quality you get. Will definitely stay again.

Review 7:A girl in the reception who was completely unhelpful. When I asked directions on how to get to the outlet- Freeport she told me to take a 2 hour trip around the city (by getting the train to Setubal) when it would normally take 30 minutes by taking the bus in Oriente directly to Freeport (which I found out when I was in Freeport)! When someone doesn't know something it's better they say so rather than wasting people's time and money. Also I requested a double bed and was given 2 twin beds which I hate

Review 8:Near by public transport: bus and metro. Scrambled eggs in the breakfast were good

Review 9:The wifi was a little intermittent, and beds were on the firm side, but these are minor quibbles with what was a really good deal we managed to organise through the Booking.com website.

Review 10:The staff were all very accomodating and friendly, the rooms were very clean, the facilities worked well and the adjoining restaurant served beautiful food.

Review 11:The Wifi was only working at some spots in the room. We thought the hotel was far away from the nearest Metro stations.

Review 12:The breakfast was great. The surroundings are quiet and the room OK.

Review 13:The toiletries and I really needed the internet access and it wasn't there I had to move around the room to get minimum access to be able to check in for my flights and setup my next day trip. Not OK at all.

Review 14:The room. It is Ok if you don't need the wifi and bring your own toiletries. The breakfast is good

Review 15:Although it's pretty close to a couple of metro lines, it feels pretty remote from all the tourist attractions. However, if you're looking for a more peaceful area, it's a good choice.

Review 16:Friendly staff, very comfortable beds, great breakfast.

Review 17:Nice, helpful and friendly staff especially Carlos Ferreira who assisted us patiently in arranging day trip activities. Great price and good breakfast.

Review 18:Our room was upgraded to a suite, after the staff checked us in for more than 30minutes. The rooms are near perfect. They also have a restaurant and a spa.

Review 19:There were no serious negatives for me, although the room wasn't very well lit.

Review 20:The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. They also provided soy milk on request at breakfast. The spa was great (no pool though!) It was about a 20 minute walk to the centre - enough for a nice walk without being too far out.

Review 21:Weather not so good would go early in the summer

Review 22:I found everything very good I thought the people were very nice . Food was good plenty of things to do transport great . Weather was a bit wet

Review 23:No terrace and one could open the window just a bit so smoking while in the room is not possible even at the window.

Review 24:Nice rooms, great breakfast, 30 minutes tops walking to the Rossio area. The bin in the room was divided in 4 for the different types of trash.

Review 25:You have a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro station. Unfortunately there are no balconies nor a terrace space where you can sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine and a cigar.

Review 26:Staff were bilingual and very helpful in booking our tours and restaurants. (Taxis are very affordable in Lisboa) We like to be outside the busy core and Neya's location was perfect for us, quiet and comfortable. I do not think we could have found better value for our money at 85 Euro a night w breakfast included. Enjoyed our leisurely walk back to the hotel along the Avenue da Liberdade from the City center.

Review 27:Bed like a brick room very small, Parking terrible, Breakfast room not big enough. Pretenious not really a 4star hotel so not worth the money.

Review 28:Reasonable breakfast

Review 29:-) Promised Spa is super mini -) besides Spa was booked out whole time which meant the service couln't be used -) super-cheating: at the reception you receive a "free massage coupon", which you cannot use as there was never a free time slot -) when you mention this in friendly way at the recption, you get sarcastic smile back

Review 30:-) very nice rooms -) very good restaurant -) nice that the hotel separates waste!

Review 31:The window can't really be opened. It's quite a walk to the city center. Going there ain't a problem, but going back it's a lot of going uphill. Public transport ist quite close, though.

Review 32:Clean and new hotel. Spacious room with a big and modern bathroom. The bed is really huge :-)! The breakfast is good and has everything you need. Wifi is good.

Review 33:Rooms are too dark even when all the lights are open Air conditioning can't be turned on from morning until night. If you have a large car, get prepared to have pain parking in the garage, it's too narrow you'll probably scratch it on the walls.

Review 34:Nice breakfast, but croissants missing. Nice personnel.

Review 35:Located in a grubby area. Graffiti everywhere on the streets. A seedy area. Lisbon is the worst city I have ever visited for graffiti. I am afraid that graffiti weighs heavily with me when I travel whereas I realise some people don't care. I won't go to Lisbon again until they clean it up.

Review 36:The cleanliness of the hotel and the helpfulness of the staff.

Review 37:rooms are not so big but OK, sometimes problem with WIFI

Review 38:nice hotel, approx. 30 min.of walk from the city center (downhill), good breakfast

Review 39:Not many restaurants in the neighborhood

Review 40:Hotel is nice, staff very helpful

Review 41:Free massage and very friendly staff.

Review 42:Good service and friendly . Nearby public transport. Good restaurant.

Review 43:Though the staff are good, there aren't enough of them

Review 44:Limited space for breakfast with tables really close to each other. Comfortable stop over hotel

Review 45:good staff

Review 46:Just okay

Review 47:Smell in bathroom, location not so great in relation to city centre.

Review 48:Comfy bed, good air con, great breakfast.

Review 49:The location is far from center. The pillow is very bad

Review 50:The hotel is enviromentl friendly

Review 51:Staff were efficient and friendly. Excellent room Nothing was too much trouble for them - breakfast before 6am for example

Review 52:I have found the hotel quite good so i am going to stay there next time

Review 53:quite far from the city centre but easy to reach using the metro.

Review 54:lovely friendly and helpful staff. very clean and comfortable rooms.

Review 55:Ergonomics of the bathroom. Room a little dusty.

Review 56:Good breakfast. Excellent and helpful staff. Sustainable design. Internet stable and fast enough.

Review 57:Everything!

Review 58:Air con was lacking

Review 59:Good rooms. Very much like a Travel Inn in standard

Review 60:Wi-FI

Review 61:Acomodation

Review 62:Not sufficient room lighting

Review 63:Quiet room with attractive decor Helpful knowledgeable staff Good breakfast Good shower

Review 64:can't agree with all people who wrote about the good location. Min. 30 minutes on foot to the city centre through the poor and dirty locality. To get the tube isn't also very easy. But for the car location is really good!

Review 65:Except the location everything is very good. Big and clean rooms. Can't say that breakfast is diverce, but still fresh and of a good quality.Chairmaid was perfect and even overscrupulous. Reception stuff helped us with a car renting, table bookingat the rest. instantly and perfect. Money for the rooms were charged already after the hotel leaving, it was some problem with an apparat & we couldn't wait.

Review 66:only one tea/coffee machine so always queuing up at machine.

Review 67:smart hotel with pleasant staff, clean and efficient, good breakfast with a variety each morning

Review 68:Room had very poor lighting. Air conditioning would not allow below 20 setting(TOO HOT). Clerk lied said shuttle to airport was free. It was NOT. It cost 20 Euros.

Review 69:Suite & breakfast was very nice

Review 70:District where hotel was located seemed a bit run down but was safe

Review 71:Friendly staff. Good selection for breakfast. Spotlessly clean. very quiet and peaceful with no traffic noise. Air conditioning in rooms worked well. Kocation good for getting Metro from Airport and into City

Review 72:We wanted to explore Lisbon, but walking. We searched the hotel for a week's stay in Lisbon. The hotel, which will be a new, convenient, close to the center (about 2 km to the Rossio). It is not too expensive. We chose Ney hotel and we are very pleased. The hotel is not big, but nice. Friendly and helpful staff, the room large, clean. Towels snow-white and clean, bathroom clean, the beds comfortable, air-conditioning, free WiFi, USB LCD, delicious and varied breakfasts. Everything was O.K. Another visit to Lisbon and once again we stayed in Ney Hotel.

Review 73:Reception staff very helpful. Room spotless. Breakfast would set you up for the day - great selection of hot/cold food, drinks etc. Dined in restaurant on two nights - very reasonable and delicious food. Passed compliments on to Chef - Daniel - who came out and spoke to us. Highly recommend the hotel.

Review 74:A little further from the centre of Lisbon than we expected. 30 minute walk to real centre/hub of the city.

Review 75:Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Review 76:glass door to bathroom - was impossible to close them properly, terrible view from the window (from my side, other should be better), WI-FI was not working whole weekend

Review 77:experienced staff, good advices regarding transport, city center, taxi etc. very good location

Review 78:Leaving it.... They had no availability for me to stay longer....

Review 79:View, clean, wifi good and fast, warm bedroom, hot water in the bathroom, isolation sound from other rooms, breakfast, elevators, environment.

Review 80:Not enough light in the bedroom. Foot massage cushion in room did not work.

Review 81:Great choice and value for breakfast. Comfortable lounge areaand beds. Free massage Good bathroom

Review 82:One suggestion - because your hotel shows responsibility for the environment; using perfume - free moisturizing cream in the bathrooms is a good idea. The cream you have now is highly scented - not only bad for sensitive people, but also bad for the environment.

Review 83:We loved the peace and quiet!!! The doors didn't slam and the walls were soundproof. Also, the breakfast provided lots of healthy and egg free food for vegetarians.

Review 84:No coffee facility in our room so had to buy from bar for 2 euros. Not much atmosphere in the bar or restaurant area.

Review 85:Neya is a bit of a walk from the main town, but we didn't mind at all. You can also take a taxi which are cheap. Rooms are well maintained and modern, clean, all the usual bits and pieces. Staff very helpful. Free breakfast is a good start to the day.

Review 86:Room was cold and hard to get it warmer. Hotel reservation didn´t follow my request I wrote on Booking. But kindly switch it after I asked for a change on the reception.

Review 87:Room was silent.

Review 88:We requested that we didn't want a room at the last floor, but at first that is exactly what they gave us. After we complained about it we got a room at the first floor. The metro is a 10 minute walk from the city, so be warned.

Review 89:We loved the fact that we had a huge bed. The breakfast was not at all "dull", there were some changes in there everyday.

Review 90:I didn't like the bathroom. Probably, I simply just didn't got an idea of it but the door in the shower cabin was short and didn't fit the room between two sides of the cabin. And of course, after taking a shower I spent 10-15 minutes clearing water from the entire bathroom.

Review 91:I liked the quitness of the hotel. Unless its location is a bit far from metro stations (about 8-10 minutes walk), its neighbourhood is very lonely and quiet. It was good after a hard tourism day. What is more, everyone speaks english pretty good there in the hotel which is not typical for Portugal. Finally, the restaurant in the hotel is very good. If you haven't found a place in the town or too tired to do it, you easily can go there and have a great lunch. But, probably, it is much more expensive (~15euro and ~10 euro in the town).

Review 93:Wifi was continually spotty (could connect but not logon for hours), breakfast offered variety but it wasn't cooked very well (felt like a cafeteria).

Review 94:Very clean, sharp design, comfortable room with large bed and spotless bathroom

Review 95:Once we've arrived to hotel it didn't seem to be very special from the outside... However, just after entering the reception hall we've been impressed. I loved the modern design of the rooms and halls. Hotel is very comfortable, the rooms are clean and well decorated. Hotel staff is very polite and your privacy is guaranteed there. I strongly recommend this hotel!

Review 96:A little far from the old city but you cAn catch a taxi - not expensive at all. Consider the price, what can you say:)

Review 97:Staff at the front desk is very helpful. The hotel is not luxury but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good. Better than I thought.

Review 98:Maybe little more products on the breakfast and in the restaurant menu(vegetarian products).

Review 99:Great and friendly staff, clean and modern rooms. Breakfast is of very good quality. Restaurant is fine aswell. Food was delicious. Internet is free and ok.

Review 100:Quite far away from the city centre(45 min walk) and also quite far from the metro(15min walk) However this is no big deal if you don't mind walking which we didn't.

Review 101:Very stylish hotel with great facilities. Friendly staff, great breakfast as well as food in the restaurant.

Review 102:Don't try to have a dinner, unless you like to waste your money. 10 min walking you'll definitely find something more eatable for money at least twice as less as you'd have paid in hotel. That's it. Nothing more.

Review 103:This choice actually proved reasonable. Good breakfast, good and clean room with all necessary amenities, quite sound-proof (not an ideal, but ok), very helpful and friendly staff. In terms of location what I can say is that it's well close to the grociery and supermarket + aerobus stop + intracity tour buses + a couple of cafes (in fact, more than couple) + some museums and parks etc. Just bear in mind that it's not a real downtown, so getting to the center takes 20-30 min walking depending on the point you are heading to. However it gives you an additional benefit: the area is not noisy. And quite safe. At least I didn't happen to encounter something dangerous or disturbing. For smokers: non-smoking room but special area on the 1st floor is arranged.

Review 104:The location is a bit far from the city center, the bathroom door did not close (slide) properly so you have to improvise - but not a big minus compared to the advantages.

Review 105:Great breakfast, very clean room, comfortable, nice staff, great value for money, I would recommend.

Review 106:The parking was not suitable for my car, since it had a very narrowcorner, so the staff told me (I did not see it, but was todl that wouldbe very difficult to get around it - Mercedes c class), so I had toleave the car in a nerby park (5 minute waling distance).

Review 107:Confort and cleanliness, also very accomodating staff and really nicebreakfast.

Review 108:The surrounding buildings must be slated for re-development because they are empty. However, this does not mean the area in unsafe!

Review 109:Staff incredibly warm and helpful. Room was clean, clean, clean. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast buffet featured generous variety of food. We found Neya Lisboa Hotel to be an incredible place to stay!

Review 110:Despite the rave interviews I believe there is room for improvement in keeping the rooms super clean as they should be.

Review 111:Breakfast at this hotel is suberb in terms of selection of food items and quality.

Review 112:This was my second stay at Neya in about 4 months. As the first time, I particularly enjoyed the hotel restaurant for its great food and very friendly personnel. And I would like to compliment the entire hotel staff (reception, bar/restaurant, cleaning) for their professionalism and attention to clients' needs. I look forward to returning to this hotel anytime soon.

Review 113:While the hotel is not located in the centre, there is plenty of transport to the city centre. With a car it is possible to fine on street car parking. Breakfast was good for a great start to the day.

Review 114:Kindness of staff. Enjoyed a dinner at the Restaurant and didn't regret! The care with the environment.

Review 115:Perfect. Everything's perfect. Nothing to complain.

Review 116:Great room, very good breakfast.

Review 117:Excellent location. Nice & comfortable.

Review 118:Breakfast room quite small.

Review 119:Good quiet hotel.

Review 120:Great hotel - fantastic, friendly service, very clean, lovely bar and restaurant, and conveniently located. A thumbs-up overall.

Review 121:The room was large, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good.

Review 122:My shower leaked water on the bathroom floor, but this is only a minor negative.

Review 123:I loved the complimentary 15min back massage.

Review 124:Very nice and well appointed hotel. The room was super-clean, the gym was small but nice and breakfast was just great!!

Review 125:Nothing

Review 126:Location, facilities and the room. Great hotel.
