Reviews for Borgo di Casagrande

Review 1:We arrived at 230 (per website check in was from 230-6) we waited and looked for an hour and couldn't find a single person. We left and had dinner and returned at 5, still no one to be found and would not answer the phone either. At 6pm someone emerged from the house we were previously knocking on the door, was very strange. Checked us in, house wasn't even prepared, heat wasn't on and there were cobwebs. Lady who was helping us struggled for an hour to get the heat on. Very unorganized. House was clean but had cobwebs everywhere just looked not prepared for guests. Water pressure and temperature is awful!!! Shower shuts off, goes from Luke warm to freezing impossible to take a shower

Review 2:View and patio were very nice

Review 3:we stay in the big room for 7 people and we had good time! the hosts are very nice people, amazing view from the balcony, we got all the equipment for cooking, and sleeping. its not far from the city but you need a car or train. the apartment is very big and cosy, looks better in realty!

Review 4:The place was generally clean but there were areas where there were small cobwebs and dust. The wi if was very weak even in common areas there was no English TV. The cutting knives were very dull. There were no kitchen towels. If you are cooking these are things you need but don't want to buy for one week. M

Review 5:The ambiance of the place was great. However there were lighting issues in the kitchen in that the range hood light was burned out as were two of three lights in one bathroom.

Review 6:Where do I begin! 1. Absolutely stunning views of surrounding vineyards and countryside 2. Perfect estate - grounds, communal facilities and pool maintained to superb standards by on-site staff 3. Very comfortable, spacious and tastefully furnished and decorated sleeping quarters (stayed in 2bedroom apt) 4. The helpfulness of staff far exceeded our expectations, I am talking of course about Fatiha and Simo! Many many thanks for all your wonderful assistance (and capuccinos :)) 5. The owner himself introduced himself on day one, came specifically to say goodbye on last day, and was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Don't miss out on this place!

Review 7:it is a prefect location if you have rent car. Otherwise bit tricky.

Review 8:nice staff , even the owner did not speak much English, but very kind. help us buy the water and milk. Take us to the mall also.

Review 9:-Personnel was helpful but doesn't speak English. One of the owners does but wasn't available in some cases.

Review 10:-Location -View -Kitchen facilities -Appartment decoration

Review 11:The hot water in the shower was intermitten, it can go from hot to ice cold all of a sudden.

Review 12:Owner was very friendly and helped me with the lugguage. Place was full of greenery and sounds of birds chirping. Nice place to relax and chill out. At the same time you can go to the mall for some shopping.

Review 13:Great location in Tuscany. Reasonable drive to Florence, Piza, and other locations. Received personal cooking class from owner's wife and was probably some of the best food I've ever had! The location was beautiful.

Review 14:Breakfast on the terrace was amazing. Great wine and amazing staff. Conveniently down from the Gucci and Prada outlets.

Review 15:Spacious units and good location.

Review 16:I felt there is no one that really run the villa.

Review 17:The view.

Review 18:Access signals.

Review 19:The facilities are beautiful and relaxing exactly what you need you are on vacation.

Review 20:Wonderful place, lovely stuff, great hospitality. Highly recommend.

Review 21:too far from firenze had to double back to get on/off highway

Review 22:space layout view

Review 23:room space

Review 24:hot water didnt flow consistently

Review 25:location, scenery, room rate, great breakfast

Review 26:Friendly relaxed spacious

Review 27:The hotel can improve by providing more standard equipment for tourists such as hair-dryer, electric- kettle, dish detergent. We rented a 3 bedroom apartment shared by 3 couple friends. The room on the top floor is large and beautiful. The other 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor are adequate for children but a bit too small for adult couples.

Review 28:The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful in advising on where to visit, eat and route planning. The hotel is within a working vine-yard. The scenery in and around the hotel is beautiful. The location is excellent for visiting Tuscany, major attractions such as Florence, Sienna, PISA, etc. as well as shopping. The Mall is only 5 min drive and A1 Auto-route is 20 min drive.

Review 29:Everything is perfect. Thank you very much!

Review 30:A real Toscan villa. We had a huge appartment with two rooms. Bedroom had 4 poster bed. Very quiet. Kitchen was well-equiped silverware, plates, glass-ware, pans etc (although a micro-wave would have been nice). Location is about 40' drive from Florence and 15' from freeway. Ideal for relaxation, but within easy drive to civilization.

Review 31:Excellent villa, with beautiful views of the Tuscan hills. There is a swimming pool, not far from villa several outlets. Very good location for those travelling by car. Beautiful, stylish apartments equipped with all necessary for cooking breakfast and dinner. The owners of the hotel you can always buy wine from their vineyards. In the morning you can see from the windows of the stunning sunrise, and in the evening breathtaking sunset! All very much with pleasure would go back again!

Review 32:The setting was absolutely wonderful .It is a working vineyard locatedin the Tuscony area. For Americans you have to understand you arerenting an apartment this is not a B&B. The Staff is not alwaysavailable but when checking they will give you all the info you canhandle to get around. U will need a gps but the area is beautiful and Wewould definitely go back. Glenn & Peggy King

Review 33:Some little bugs and bees, but it is was that time of the season, so there were a lot outside.

Review 34:Very beautiful rooms, incredible area and view. Close to town and markets. Located on a vineyard. Would recommend and would stay there again.

Review 35:Simon was very friendly, had lived in USA, so made communication very easy. My first evening, ever, in Italy, and very memorable. Even had a couple of bottles from their vineyard, nice !

Review 36:It was a bit problematic to found the hotel in the night-our navigator in the car could not found it. Additionally, not the problem itself, but I would like to recommend the owner to make some kind of menu what is included in breakfast, lunch and so on.the hotel offers its guests to prepare meal, but you do not know what is included in the price.

Review 37:Excellent location, impressive design of the apartments, extremely helpful owner of the hotel. Cappuccino in the morning was wonderful.Very nice hotel for all types of travelers!

Review 38:Only a minor thing,we needed to keep shutters closed at night due to noise from trains passing in valley below.

Review 39:Simone was a helpful and friendly host. The country estate feel was most pleasure. The 2 bed apartment was spacious and beautifully presented.

Review 40:I can imagine the sound of the highway & trains might be disturbing to some people, it didn't bother us all that much, the trains were a major attraction for our toddler. The kitchen wasn't very clean upon our arrival (there was still trash from the previous guests in the bins)

Review 41:Great location in a vineyard, close to train station (7 min by car), good starting point for car and/or train trips to all the lovely Tuscan cities and towns. Wonderful views from the all the windows. Very clean pool Very, very friendly staff! Simone is a wonderful host.

Review 42:I did not realize daily cleaning is not included.

Review 43:Simone was extremely freindly and hospitable. Our room was spacious and well-equipped. The villa was beatiful and the views from the poolside were spectacular. A1 highway was just 5 minutes driving, so we were able to reach Florence city centre in just 35-40 minutes.

Review 44:A really nice place at half an hour drive of beautiful Florence. Verynice and friendly owner Simone with his wife. They were ready to helpand provide us with nice tips. Two advises: Whenever you organize adinner for guests: inform them and charge them per person. Also the coffee-possibility in the office-part: make sure the guests can use the coffeethemselves and make them pay for the coffee! All Dutch, German etcguests love (and are wiling to pay for) a nice coffee in the morning!

Review 45:No AC in the sleeping rooms.

Review 46:Good wifi connection. Washing machine avaible. Spacious and well equipped appartment. The center of Florence can be reached by train in about 40 minutes from the nearest train station in Rignano sull'Arno.

Review 47:family owned this place is whats needed if you want to get away from it all and experience tuscany in all its splendor and hospitality. Simone and his family are wonderful people and go out of their way to help. i hope to return again and again.

Review 48:Location is difficult to find even with gps. The train station inRignano lacks parking spaces for day trip to Florence.

Review 49:Accommodation is luxurious and spacious and setting is beautiful amongvineyards. Hosts were gracious and nice.

Review 50:Close to beautiful Florence. Simone and his family were truly wonderful. The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect. The view was amazing and the price was right. Highly recommend.

Review 51:Fantastic property and amazing views of vineyards....truly magical. Pool and ample grounds were great distraction for my 5 yo

Review 52:Views were awesome, relaxing & comfortable surroundings, very good representation of what travelers may expect visiting the Tuscany area.

Review 53:Hot water made by gas water heater. So it's not so easy to achieve a warm temperature.

Review 54:Country side and style!

Review 55:Nice people, very nice breakfast, great location, fantastic inviroment!

Review 56:Difficult to find, expesially when it's dark.

Review 57:Coisy and nice view
