Reviews for La Residenza Dei Cappuccini

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:Everything! Monia was very welcoming to a wonderful apartment, great location, handy to bus & train & great town. Would definitely recommend.

Review 3:It was a really hot spell and air-conditioning would have been great, but we flung the windows open at night and the rooms were cool enough to sleep in.

Review 4:The two bedroom apartment is in a beautiful, quiet part of Spello. The owner was lovely and gave us all the info we needed at the start of our stay. The bathroom/living areas and bedrooms were large and comfortable.

Review 5:Breakfast was pre-packaged, we preferred buying fresh breakfast at a cafe. But that's a comment, not a criticism!

Review 6:Accommodation with lots of charm, in a lovely village! Easy to get taxi to/from station if not travelling by car. Parking limited. Good walks nearby.

Review 7:Uninspiring breakfast but then not charged much for it. Had some difficulty with the wi fi but in a small walled town I find it remarkable that one can get anything at all

Review 8:Very helpful greeting and advice about an interesting medieval festival nearby. Entrance charming but apartment, though spacious, without the charm of the photo shown on the website.

Review 9:The lady who met us was very friendly and helpful. I need a gluten free diet and she ensured there was a good supply of suitable snacks for breakfast.

Review 10:Kitchen area would benefit from another power socket.

Review 11:The ceiling in the bedroom is original Roman brickwork. Quiet location near to free parking and some great eating places.

Review 12:Breakfast selection was disappointing - packets of biscuits, cream-filled cakes, croissants, jams, Nutella, juice and milk. Would have been happy with cereal, yoghurt and a loaf of bread. Wifi worked well, but only in living room.

Review 13:Cute, cosy and nicely appointed apartment that provided a relaxing and comfortable stay in Spello.

Review 14:Be sure you follow the owners advice and contact them before you start driving 'up' into the town. (They even sent us a map for the parking). They have 3 locations. Ours was so easy for parking and access if we had called or texted before we started the climb which drove our GPS (and us)crazy.

Review 15:We were right inside the walled town with easy access to our car parked just outside the walls about 5 minutes away. A sense of time gone by in this nicely renovated apartment down a cool narrow cobblestone side street filled with potted flowers and plants and the sounds of every day life in Spello. King bed was a wonderfully comfortable with lots of pillows and quality bedding.

Review 16:Great little place to spend a night if you want to visit Spello - which you should, if only to go to some of its excellent wining and dining establishments and get away from the tourist frenzy that is Assisi. It was a bit chilly in the room in May, but in summer I imagine it's very refreshing. The room is fairly large, a bit dark being on the ground floor, but we were quite happy.

Review 17:The apartment was very humid. Not hot, but humid. This didn't bother us and I'm sure many of the buildings are the same, but may not be for some.

Review 18:Monia was very nice and made us feel at home on arrival. The apartment is cute and well equipped, with plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance.

Review 20:There wasn't much natural light in the apartment, & after the towels became damp, we weren't able to dry them. The thermostat on the heater needs adjusting. It was very cold.

Review 21:The owner of the apartment was a lovely lady, & very helpfull. The apartment was charming, but rather dark.

Review 22:A bit noisey, so bring ear plugs but worth the stay. Apartment clean but tile floors needed a good clean. Only hand washing available.

Review 23:Warm, friendly, informative welcome by Monia. Spacious, comfortable apartment with everything provided. Even a jug to boil water for a cuppa..yeh! Bedroom space a little tight but comfortable. Parking & local parking sticker provided, small cars definately an asset as roads/pathways very narrow. Lovely village, able to walk everywhere though can be quite steep.

Review 24:Drive to the Martin Luther King parking lot (free) and Monia will meet you. You will walk up the hill to her apartment so if need be take two trips, it's easy. I opened the windows and skylights and got a few mosquito bites. Not a big deal but beware. Monia has limited English but lots of personality and wants to help you so be patient. She is pregnant and so maybe bring her some positive energy.

Review 25:I needed a place to rest from some long journeys and found Spello and this apartment absolutely perfect. The place is brand spanking new and everything is clean, organized and you'll feel like you could make this your apartment for weeks or months.... but alas you are a traveler and must move on. Spello has charm and ask Monia for recommendations, with a discount for you. Fabbio's restaurant is one of the best in Italy. 5 minutes. A laundromat is 5 minutes (walk across the street to a Rotiserie restaurant and have grilled vegetables and focaccia from Luca, take a couple of days and enjoy Spello. It's not big but it has a sweet feel.

Review 26:Limited natural light Lumpy beds Basic utensils Terrace area under cover, too dark Motor bikes and cars driving past window of apartment

Review 27:Location Facilities Access to free car parking Access to staple foods Being able to buy local produce

Review 28:A very comfortable and spacious apartment, very well located right in the old Spello village.

Review 29:Peace and quiet, nice restaurant next door

Review 30:Location, location, location. The apartment was right in the old town which was great.

Review 31:Beautiful, relaxing week in quiet Spello.

Review 32:None.

Review 33:Great street. Well equipped apartment. Very pleasant and helpful management.

Review 34:Comfortable apartment nearby shops and in a very very quiet area. Cool during hot days.

Review 35:Quaint apartment in beautiful village.

Review 36:I wish we could have stayed longer.

Review 37:The apartment was spectacular. Rustic but had all the comforts you could want and great wifi.

Review 38:had difficulty with getting heating going, and breakfast was a bit basic.

Review 39:nice Appartment in a good location with lock up parking provided.

Review 40:Quite damp in the apartment.

Review 41:Quiet. Clean. Our host was totally responsive and very friendly. Town is beautiful and lively.

Review 42:Staff very helpfull and kind. Perfekt location for visiting Gubbio. Available paking possibilities close to accomodation.

Review 43:The apartment is beautiful, spacious and clean. The garden and terrace is stunning and private. It is the best apartment I have ever stayed in - and we have travelled a lot. What a find...

Review 44:We stayed in an apartment in the San Sisto area . Medieval cities, with winding narrow lanes may not be conducive to easy mobile phone and Wi-fi access -but this does not detract from the overall experience.

Review 45:Spello is a beautiful small town and La Residenza is the perfect place to say there. The apartment was clean, well equipped and comfortable, and the hosts friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

Review 46:A beautful residence in the medieval town of Spello. The location was briliant for transporting you back in time, walking around this gorgeous Italian town. Tiny, windy lanes and spectacular views.

Review 47:nothing

Review 48:The host's were wonderful courteous. I think they would have liked to do more for us but we are well traveled and not as needy as most people. It was kind of them to give us a gift of vino from the parent's vineyard. This was a perfect place to park yourself for day trips all over its a quiet little town. This is a plus for those who have been out all day and need some down time.

Review 49:The apartment was a little dark, with only a very small window in the bedroom facing shrubs. It was also a bit cold despite turning on the heater. Wifi signal was very weak, had to go outside our front door & sit on the swing-seat to get any signal (we stayed in the apartment furthest from the street, while the wifi router is apparently on the other end right near the street).

Review 50:Charming apartment near the top of Spello. It had a beautiful swing-seat and little table & chairs in the courtyard, with a view through the entry arch to the street, and so many people stopped to gape at the gorgeous setting! Very spacious & nice location. There was a parking area just 3 min walk away at the top end of town, so apartment's location was more convenient that staying lower down the slope and having to lug the bags up or downhill.

Review 51:It was excellent. Owners were very friendly and helpful. The location was central to the hill town. It was clean and well designed and provided everything necessary for an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend.

Review 52:While returning back in the evening, we wanted a bit of heating astemperature was at about 19c, raining outside. Unfortunately heatingwasn't working. There was nothing to use for the fireplace as well. There was no reception to ask (and it was late to call the owners). Thewalls had mold at a few places. The breakfast was too plastic. We'vestayed in much better rustic-style lodges in the region, similar price.

Review 53:Friendly staff, waited for us at the nearby square, as it may bedifficult to access especially by car.

Review 54:Parking can be problematic. We got a ticket desoite having parked in an area we told was free.

Review 55:Good location. Value for money. Nice facilities.

Review 56:nothing really

Review 57:The staff, the location, the look of the apartment, a beautiful spot for a stay in lovely Spello

Review 58:Quite dark inside.

Review 59:Well presented and clean.

Review 60:Lo staff gentilissimo, la posizione ottima, il posto confortevole. It was great to wake up in the morning and stroll the streets....

Review 61:This apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly, helpful and went out their way to make our stay perfect.

Review 62:I would recomend this place to everybody. We spent 5 amazing days in almost all appartments of La Residenza Dei Cappuccini Very, very friendly stuff.

Review 63:The propietor is not on site and in order to check in you have to call ahead. We didn't have a cell phone so that was very difficult.

Review 64:It was simply perfect. Lovely, romantic, confortable.
