Review 1：The only downside was dinner on our second evening when we were in a private room but next to a very noisy mixed Japanese/Chinese group. Subsequently our dining room was as far as it was possible to get from that group!
Review 2：Our villa was simply marvellous, just what we wanted. The staff very friendly and helpful, even with limited English, and the meals - well we both like Japanese food very much so it was a little bit of heaven.

Review 5：The meals were elaborate and they were lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. The illustration of the menu was only available in Japanese language. While we appreciate the authenticity of it, we would have like that the menu is written in English for non-speaking guests. It's nice to read and know what we are eating. It would have been an excellent personal touch.

Booking.com staff assisting us in getting another night in the ryokan when it's full on booking.com website and other English sites. However the ryokan did a good job in placing us on the first floor instead of initial 3rd floor reserved. Attentive staff, even though English is not spoken much there
Review 10：Not sure if they got villa with open air Onsen bath, I bet that would be more enjoyable. We are not used to tatami and furton, a bit too hard.
Review 11：A very nice traditional Onsen ryokan with beautiful Japanese garden and tatami villa. Personal staff serving us from day to night. Cheerful and very helpful staff. My son really liked them. Amazing dinner and breakfast. For sure I will revisit this ryokan and stay more nights.

Heavenly stylish gardens with bridges, ponds, fish and plants, excellently designed landscape and architecture all add to the experience. Staff was extremely willing to help and made us very welcomed. The room or I should say the suite we got was surprisingly spacious with separate living, bedroom, indoor bathroom and outdoor open air hot spring spa. It was just perfect to go to sleep listening to the soft sound of spa running. The living room opens up to a pond and stone stairway leading down to more plants and garden. Dinner and breakfast provided and served in the room are delicious. It was just a plain perfect night we spent there. I wish I will have another chance in future to spend at Atami Sekitei.
