Reviews for Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu
Review 1:Breakfast charge was too expensive, and the breakfast room over crowded, plus they mad a mess of my bill when checking out. Getting a taxi from here was poorly organized.
Review 2:The location
Review 3:Service and food mixed (from truly great to below par). Staff are generally very friendly and in some cases also competent. You might have to ask 3 times but be persistent and things will happen eventually the way you want it. Management was mostly absent during our stay ("on holidays") but by the end of our stay we had managed to train staff ourselves. Prices are relatively high considering the going rates for wages and food in the Philippines. Bar service on the beach could be far more efficient. The resident dive shop Scotties is a rip off - you can get better deals elsewhere in Mactan...
Review 4:Fantastic location and good facilities, great little beach where we spent most time with kids. Nice snorkeling even off beach. Last evening wit Philippine food and entertainment was great. Ibiza beach club also ok but the local party people seem to have moved elsewhere.
Review 5:Expensive, beach is not natural
Review 6:It's a clean European style hotel, in front of a "kind of beach", I say that because the area was created to be a beach, not too natural. Nice bar but really expensive.
Review 7:the breakfast selection was not huge
Review 8:Was a great weekend get away the beach is nice and the pool area room was very big with really nice tolietry set give drinks alittle expensive at the bar
Review 9:Impressive foyer, pool and beach...really enjoyed our Christmas there. The Executive lounge access was a great value addition, great breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks and the staff in lounge were very helpful.
Review 10:Though a beautiful hotel many small defects. Water mold damages in halls. Tile coming off in bathroom. Staff is great but don't seem to be getting value for the price.
Review 11:I really disappointed. I changed room key card 4 time becaus it was not Working.. Employees are unfriendly.. And general prices are high I never ever go back again
Review 12:Only the location is okay
Review 13:The pillows are not good
Review 14:Archie at the front desk was very helpful an extra friendly.. Luv him to bits. We like the view an how it's set in a very beautiful area
Review 15:We were asked to wait for almost an hour before we got into the room after checking in. That was a major inconvenience especially after traveling for almost 22 hours with 3 small kids and we just wanted to have a rest right after arriving at the hotel.
Review 16:Friendly and customer-oriented staff!
Review 17:Check-in experience didnt seem organized. Usher did not have product knowedge of rooms and amenities
Review 18:Service at the restaurant was great and accomodating.
Review 19:It is not a big issue but I think the room needs more lights regarding the room it's not big as I expected but fair enough other than that everything was great.
Review 20:I like the comfort of the room and restaurants were great as well with the Ibiza club and band. Regarding the Spa it was wonderful as well with the staff they were hospitable.
Review 21:For the money you pay you expect some hospitality, but it was 0. Be prepare to pay extra for anything else but the room... I called them before we got there to request the Free shuttle service pick up from the airport as advertised and the told me ok madam give me your flight details all ok... However the free shuttle only takes you to the mall, for the airport pick up and drop off they charged you 575 pesos when a normal taxi ride is 145 pesos (of course i found out when i was checking out. Late check out, it says available on request bla bla ... you have to pay 3200 pesos (even for an hour, i got free hour but my friend was asked to pay that money)... If your kids want to play with the rings toys on the pool you have to pay 250 pesos... My friend needed to print the boarding pases she asked to pay 50 pesos per page... Prices on the are shown without any VAT and local taxes so when you have to pay is much more..... The only complimentary thing you get is the WIFI and it wouldn't work at all..... Sure there are better places to stay in the island
Review 22:The babysitter was excellent, really nice girl!
Review 23:Food is terrible and unreasonably expensive. Also, they did not acceptmy credit card payment thru booking.com despite the fact that I providedall documents written in the confirmation letter.
Review 24:The rooms are nice
Review 25:i dont like the internet connection because you always have to renew your connection every now and then
Review 26:we all like the hotel ambiance. it is perfect for a family vacation especially with small kids because you can go swimming in the pool all day.
Review 27:I was not impressed at all, my Fiance wanted to stay there because she was told how nice it was and she had a few friends that work there. She and I were disappointed, it started at check in and throughout our two night stay we continued to be disappointed. The bathroom was in poor condition. The jacuzzi tub did not work.
Review 28:The restaurant's food and staff was good. The stage show at the club was good. But all over priced.
Review 29:The bathtub is dirty when we came in. Room aircon was not sufficient to keep the cool. We also requested for a late checkout was approved but was not advised that they will be charging us late checkout charge.
Review 30:I like that its very close to the airport. I like also that Ibiza, the beach and the pool. Lovely resort
Review 31:The service at the poolside bar was very slow compared to the ibiza beach restaurant, and it's difficult to get a taxi from the resort (which meant that to make our flight we had to use the hotel car which was overpriced).
Review 32:Superb facilities, very helpful staff, plenty to do, with a number of pool options and a great beach front club. The private beach and jacuzzi by the sea were nice to have, and the rooms were spacious. Very close to the airport (15-20 mins) or 35 mins from the ferry port if you wish to visit Bohol etc.
Review 33:Even though everything was perfect, they could've done with cushions on the sunbeds for added comfort
Review 34:Everything. Nice, cosy room. Lovely private beach and clear sea. Very relaxing. Good food and drinks
Review 35:Actually I've commented that my stay is for our honeymoon so I expect there would be petals of roses on our bed and bathtub but it's not there at all. Abit disappointing though.
Review 36:The room is nice and comfortable. The beach is simple and clean. The Ibliza Bar is awesome at night time !
Review 37:just the lack of toilet hose which makes it a bit inconvenient and not so hygenic
Review 38:Awesome food and entertainment in one place. Great for group or family travelers.
Review 39:The room is very dark, kind of eerie. Even though I haf booked the executive king suite, it's not worth the money. The bathtub n toilet is not well kept and the tv at the bedroom is spoilt. Dare not eat the sweets given as well. Overall, the building is dated and aged, need more maintenance to it. It would be good to brighten up the room as well.
Review 40:Staff at breakfast
Review 41:The music they played at the Ibiza Beach Club was quite jarring and made me lose my appetite. The coral reef didn't seem like it was protected at all.
Review 42:I like the interiors, the mattress and the pillows.
Review 43:One of the three(3) rooms that we occupied was not ready upon our checking in. Welcome fruits were not available in this room. After the two(2) rooms being cleaned towels were not available. We had to call the desk for towels.
Review 44:We went for island hopping and tried the local food there and got extremely sick .. We were recommended by hotel tour guides to take us there and we trusted that and ended up sick in hospital for 3 days
Review 45:Liked the swiimming pool
Review 46:What I don't like is the bathroom in the room we stayed on. I can see the walls with dust, the tub is not that really clean and most especially I would suggest to them that all rooms must be wall to wall carpets so that you can not hear noises from the upper floors like what we had experienced on our stay, even in the night I can hear a rash.
Review 47:I do really like the perfect ocean view, the excellent foods and the very warming staff that are very attentive to all their guest.
Review 48:The room is too small and the showers at the beach are all not working and the bathrooms at the beach are in terrible condition. No seafood choices.
Review 49:Very friendly and helpful staff that provides great service. The swimming pool is great so is the beach and the lounging area next to the beach.
Review 50:For the money we paid the facilities and service is really poor, employees seem to be polite only on the surface, the feeling that the hotel wants to get as much money from you as it can didn't leave us until the end of the stay. Food is overpriced. SPA is overpriced. Room is overpriced. The beach is really small, the water is dirty. We came early, so they said to pay half price of the room, when we agreed, because my wife was tired, they said there is no room and they said the price of early check-in JUST FOR INFORMATION. IMHO, It is better to pay a bit more and go to another hotel (as we did walking 100 meters to SL) where you can get large and beautiful beach with clean water you can see all the tropical fishes, cheaper food, all the sea attractions and real service
Review 51:There is a bar with live music, so the night life is Ok. Swimming pool works in evening.
Review 52:They didnt have my reservation when I arrived at 3 am even though i was sending them emails a couple of days earlier with no reply from the hotel, mold in the bathroom and old stained tiles on the suite's barhroom...stained and rusty bath tub...made reservation at Ibiza Club and when I got there they told me they had a private event (wedding) so I had to go somewhere else outside the hotel...overprized tours
Review 53:Restaurants, Restaurant staff and Ibiza Club...food is amazingly good.
Review 54:Difficult to get a space / seat by poolside if you don't go to the pool early.
Review 55:Staffs are friendly and accommodating. Accommodation is superb, we stayed in a two-bed suite with ocean view.
Review 56:Room is quite small..esp d comfort room..it needs renovation i think..not worth it for what we paid.almost 10k for a deluxe room w/out breakfast is not value for money
Review 57:Pool,beach,lobby
Review 58:getting a taxi for the airport was a problem, the line was too long, was getting nervous from losing my flight.
Review 59:the staff was just was very polite and professional. everything was very clean. decor is amazing. over all thumbs up!
Review 60:Really can't fault it - only thing is there's not much to entertain tourists in the area nearby, so you'll either have to hang out in the hotel (not a bad thing to do) or expect to travel around in taxis to get to activities
Review 61:Staff were oustandingly attentive to detail, the food was awesome, and the decor was modern clean and well maintained throughout. View from our east-facing sea view room was stunning ...
Review 62:The staff at this Hotel made it a really fabulous place. From the wait staff who had great smiles to the towel guy who ran over with the right number of towels, so helpful. The buffet is well laid out. The crispy pata was amazing!
Review 63:I had book for room as kind size as my budget when I aprouch the reception they say they will do up great for us for suit room and the different will be just 2 thousand but the staff didn't mission there will be different charge . When we check out I got shock that I have to pay more and from binging I told them to take the amount in total but the staff didn't make clear information and that make me mad but I went for vacation for nice and loving day's . Wish they be more clear for the customers in the end we look for nice relaxing day . 2: Internet to room is weak and we had to enter user and password every time when we leave the phone .
Review 64:I like everything in it . Location and beach . Restaurant and the staff are friendly .
Review 65:when i check in that day the staff told me that we have free breakfast. i was expecting that morning. so dissapionted when i go straight to buffet station that my room list not included.
Review 66:The implied title "Swiss Hotel" - where did that come from? Noevident connection I could see. The restaurant evening offerings werejust awfull, especially so for a formerly high class hotel. The pricesfor their food were very extravagant if not outrageous and certainly notwhat would be expected in a good class "Swiss?" hotelanywhere. Give the hotel restaurant a miss if you can. The wines thatwere served tasted suspiciously watered down. The suite was pretty nice & well designed as befits a former Hilton Hotel. However, the shower interior has not been maintained & was dilapidated/unclean so we did not venture in. We had similar feelings about the bathroom not being up to standard in a good hotel. One or 2 main electrical sockets did not work confusing heating the kettle provided. AND WE ARE STILL WAITING 4 DAYS LATER ON THE REFUND OF THE DEPOSIT OF PP 2500 THAT RECEPTION REQUIRED FROM US ON ADMISSION TO MOVENPICK HOTEL IN ADDITION TO OUR BOOKING FEE FOR THE ACCOMMODATION! This is an expensivehotel which does not provide a satisfactory service for the cost.
Review 67:The staff were friendly but so numerous as to make one feel overcrowdedby more staff than guests! It was hard to see what the numerous staff, although well dressed, were doing as they ran to and fro to sign you into reception! Nevertheless this old Hilton Hotel is well designed with agood location.
Review 68:I didn't expect for a 4 star hotel to provide twin single beds for a deluxe room and I paid P10,000 plus one night stay. Sleeping not comfortable since I expect a full size bed. Our room 2110, the mirror needs to be changed.
Review 69:Toiletries,
Review 70:Imagine they close the beach swimming at 6pm! All the beaches are public all over the Philippines, at least the first 20 meters fron the water. I would not mind if they would say, as from 6pm till 9am, there is no more rescue guard on duty.
Review 71:Food and rooms are good
Review 72:Rooms are terrible. - aircon not working - no replacement of towel after room clean up - kettle rusty - shower heater not working - many ants on living table - mattress very hard
Review 73:The hotel beach
Review 74:Aside from the stain on the toilet bowl which I think is horrible for a 5-star property, I have been inconvenienced with the way my voided transaction was handled. The amount of Php 8400 is still not credited to my account until today and as someone who stays overseas, this is quite a shame. I have never received a call from the hotel providing update on my request and has to chase almost every day only to be informed that it has to be done through my bank. I was assured during check-in that the amount will be returned within 24hours and it's already 2 weeks with no progress. I wish that the hotel valued me as a guest however this did not happen to me at Movenpick.
Review 75:Facilities and Ibiza-feel
Review 76:there were quite a bit of flies just where check in counters were, perhaps i am such a city person, it did annoy me a little, even the staff kept waving their arms to chase the flies away location - had to wait for some time to get taxis. one of the taxis even charged us extra 50pesos on top of the meter as he claims that he may not get passengers from the hotel at night. (which he did in the end but i still paid him) the hotel cant guarantee a taxi, we tried using grab taxi and easy taxi, and couldnt get any either. things are a little expensive for a solo traveller - one way transfers can be arranged at 575pesos. in-room dining probably starts from 500pesos and above for a meal. something that i can get at 300pesos in the city hotels (maybe a category lower) didnt really like the pillows, too flat for comfort. toilet lights were really dim. the tv wasnt very clear. room was supposed to be a deluxe king bed, but it was a queen size when i enter the room. just happened that the reception called to verify my credit card number, i asked if it was a king bed, they said yes, i am very certain that it is a queen bed. just about 150 - 160cm wide.
Review 77:the theme to the room makes it look really relaxing, i loved the colour schemes of the lobby, the room, the pool and their ibiza beach club. the reason why i chose this hotel. i booked room only, didnt have a chance to try their breakfast, but i reckoned it should be pretty good. i requested for late check-out as my flight was at 8pm, the duty manager kindly extended it till 2pm, which i was grateful for, because i was on my own. room amenities - they use chopard toiletries. location - it is just 15 mins away from the airport. which is great for those who are going straight to the airport after they checked out. their ibiza beach club has dj night on weekends, great for chill-outs. direct access to a private beach. very popular with koreans by the way
Review 78:Definitely pay the bit extra for ocean front rooms, and if they "upgrade" u to a suite in the back tower I would still not take it. The back tower is nowhere near as nice and the wifi doesn't reach there well either. Ask to be in the main hotel
Review 79:Location is a huge plus for this hotel. Only 20 mins from airport it means u can do a great paradise weekend in Cebu. Simple and easy weekend from HK, SG etc. It's also right by the pier. If you are like me and hate resort-style hotels, this is acceptable as we rented a boat for the four of us on both days and just chilled in the perfect waters in day time (If other boutiques ones are full, this is a good alternative). We only really spent bfast in the hotel... Which is very good. A feast! All of us had a massage at the hotel. we would recommend
Review 80:It took almost an hour before the food we ordered arrived and we almost missed our spa appointment because of this. There were no available towels when we requested for one.The shower cord on the bathtub was leaking and splashing all over the bathroom. The glass door in the shower was not installed properly, hence, water was leaking outside the shower and this was causing the whole bathroom to flood. The bathroom needs re-tiling too, there were loose tiles and molds on the tiles too.
Review 81:We love the resort's ice cream menu. The shows at Ibiza were also nice. The staff were all courteous and accommodating.
Review 82:terrible check in experience. 45 minutes. No consideration of late check-in, til i insisted. NO WIFI when booking said free wifi . So many hidden costs. No brkfast. Hated coming!
Review 83:beautiful beach facilities with water sports facility. Nice pool and facilities around pool.
Review 84:Although I was happy with everything, my choices for a room were not considered. I asked for things and I did not receive any of them. No breakfast was included in the price I paid, and that was disappointing. Loved the staff and facilities though these two things will cause me to try a competitor on my next visit.
Review 85:Really loved the staff and the facilities. I personally would recommend the hotel to anyone. I thought it was beautiful and the staff were all top quality people and treated me with great respect.
Review 86:We had lunch at The Sails. There are very limited choices for the lunch buffet so only my brother availed of it. I had ala carte. The staff were efficient and they served bread and a small appetizer before bringing the food. However the linguini pasta with clams that I ordered was not presented well, clams were tough and rubbery and the taste was unremarkable. It was disappointing and not at par with the hotel.
Review 87:The room was wonderful especially the beds and the view. The facilities are fantastic.
Review 88:The hotel staffs are incompetent and very inconsiderate. They dont know how to deal with problems. I forgot to bring the credit card i used to pay and they asked me to pay again. If I wont pay they will not check me in. So I was forced to pay in cash and they promised me that they will charge it back to my account in 7-14 working days but if I did'nt follow it up they wont do it , until now im waiting for my money and its been 14 days already. What if I dont have a cash ?are they going to check me in? I showed them my online bank statement that it was already deducted in my account, showed all my ID's. I asked our maid in Manila to photocopy my Creditcard to show them. But still they did'nt accept it. what if I lost my wallet with my credit card in it? What will happen to my booking? This people have no knowledge about any thing. They are so Greedy. They are just after your money. They are very Inconsiderate!!!!. They did 'nt even apologise for the inconvenience they've done to us.
Review 89:Place is great
Review 90:Wifi kept disconnecting. We were first put in the back tower and the wifi doesn't reach here. Would advise paying that bit more for an ocean facing room. Service could be a little disorganised in the Ibiza bar, but nice setting.
Review 91:We looked for a place near the airport that gave the full philippines beach vibe when flying in for a weekend from Hong Kong. This is in a great location. We took a boat for the full both days and it was epic!!
Review 92:Like most resorts, you are isolated inside the resort, with a small beach and medium size pool.
Review 93:The room is decorated nicely and well-lit with sunlight. Toiletry is great.
Review 94:I didnt like that we didnt get to use cable tv while we stayed in a suite room because the cable is malfunctioning. Some customers were given drinks and necklaces, upon entry others were not. The staff are biased. Its a long drive i think they shouldnt be hiding their drinks and just offering it to those they feel like more important people.
Review 95:Big suite room, clean. Good for family
Review 96:The Free WIFI was next to hopeless and the Premium paid WIFI was not any better and constantly dropped out. My strong advice to management is to scrap the current WIFI and replace as it is virtually unusable and extremely frustrating.
Review 97:The Ibiza Bar and Restaurant, The beautiful beach and swimming pool
Review 98:Considering Cebu is such a foodie city, food here needs a LOT of work. Such a shame as it's a pretty resort. I would book here but have my meals somewhere else.
Review 99:Ibiza Bar is a great sunset hangout. Small but very quiet, private beach.
Review 100:I super like our room, so big for 4pax! Love the design of the Ibiza Beach Club and all the furnitures and fixtures in the hotel especially the washroom in the lobby...so modern!
Review 101:Staff service was pretty bad compared to another luxury hotel justnearby. Yes, they are very polite in their manner of speaking, but getthings done very slowly and inefficiently. I feel that there was also alack of initiative in some instances. Our reservation also got mixed upsomehow - we specifically requested for a Executive king room, but theygave us 2 twins and said that there are no more available rooms with aking-sized bed.Water sports activities and island hopping rates are way too expensive in the hotel. If you want to do island hopping - go to Islands Banca Cruises just next door to Movenpick. Much better price, very friendly crew, and you can visit more islands with a lower cost!
Review 102:Hotel was nice and clean, clearly a luxury hotel, and only around 15minutes from the Cebu-Mactan airport. Hotel facilities like the pool, game room, and gym were free of charge, so that was good.
Review 103:I cannot express how utterly disappointing and dissatisfying the food was at Movenpick, Mactan Cebu. For one thing, like millions of people in the world I prefer a vegetarian diet. And one thing that is most annoying is when there is a salad bar and they make a nice barley salad with beef, potato salad with bacan, and pasta salad with chicken. As if the meat eaters will be deprived of meat while eating a salad. I paid so much money for food here it was unbelievable especially that I never felt satisfied eating any meal here. The evening meal cost 2700p per person and guess what I ate? Fish and rice. That's all. And only a tiny portion of rice was allowed. No one ever even oftered more rice but there was NOTHING else to eat except grilled meat. It was disgusting and dissatisfying and I hope I never have to suffer through another experience like this. Even for meat eaters, I am sure that this is considered overpriced and lacking in variety.
Review 104:the bathrooms could have been nicer as they are already a couple of years old. Then again, you would not spend that much time there anyway and they were perfectly clean, though!
Review 105:breakfast and all other food was excellent. The staff was amazingly friendly and supportive. The facilities are in excellent shape and the rooms are nice! The bed is the best you ever slept in.
Review 106:Food is pricey.
Review 107:There's something for every member of the family. Our kids enjoyed the beach and we enjoyed the night life at Ibiza. Excellent service from the staff.
Review 108:Noisy of the chokes early mornings.Vomit in one of the elavators. One elivator get stuck between floors. Regards, Lilybeth Bevan
Review 109:Facilities are excellent & nice Resort.
Review 110:Wifi was shocking. And I didn't realise we were going to be so far from cebu city. But that was my own fault for not checking. Also booking.com had messed up on transferring the pay information to the hotel so it seemed like I had not paid. Very stressful.
Review 111:It was exactly as I had expected from the website and other people's comments, even better. It was a stunning place with the friendliest staff. Loved the pool, the beach, the free shuttle to the malls and food was great too.
Review 112:The only thing we didn't enjoy was the food. Aside from being too pricey (base price is high even without the taxes and service charge) , the food isn't excellent. Buffet does not have too many choices. If you want to enjoy your stay here, better go out when you want to eat but take your time to enjoy the facilities. It's easy to take the local transportation going to the different restaurants within Mactan. There's a nice seafood restaurant infront if you don't like to go out far.
Review 113:We love the hotel and it's design and location. The pool was really great especially if you just like to chill and relax.mthe beach front/area was also nice. The staff were friendly and efficient.
Review 114:1.Only 3 reception desks, so long lines were standing for check in/out 2.But so slow that speed test could not measure it 3.But no chance to get sunbed unless You block it before 9AM
Review 115:1.Large hotel -2 buildings 22 store each 2.Free Wi-Fi 3.Nice sandy beach
Review 116:The place is nice amenities and facilities but upon chrck in we already git disappointed, we arrived at 3:30pm we were recueved by the personal took infos as nirmal check in does, we were told to sit for a while but we waited for almost 20minutes and when my husband ask whats taking long we were told the roomis not ready where there normal check in time is at 3pm ,, so this is totally unacceptable, addition to that we were not the only people waited for so long many were waitingto check in, the hotel was fully booked but seems like the staff is not ready and cannot handle the capacity in the restaurant. Theyre staff seems to be confused and doesnt know what they should do.The staff are nice but they are very very slow.. And this hotel is over priced. If not with the spacious room and beautiful scenery we wouldnt have stayed one more day.
Review 117:Could have been better to bring towels to the room, just 2 for 4 people and sometimes not changed
Review 118:Excellent food at the restaurants Beah club separated from facilities First class service from staff
Review 119:So-called free wifi slow and needed reconnection every 30 minutes. Need to pay for 'premium' wifi (10 USD per 24 hours)! Unappealing food in their restaurants, not value for money...
Review 120:The location meant it was hard to get around. The bartender needs a sweat towel during the day at the Ibiza club as he was always so sweaty. Also as two female travelers having the team that called the cabs all you sexy or beautiful is probably not the most appropriate.
Review 121:The resort was amazing and clean which was great. Breakfast was very expensive and would opt for the al carte which was yum. Rooms were always clean and beds were comfy
Review 122:There were stains on the bed linnen which you should not expect from such a luxurious hotel. At the pool we were told not to wear a hat, which is ridiculous with the sun burning and no place offering any shade. Very unfriendly and unpleasant experience. We decided not to use the pool anymore and stayed at the beach. Surroundings of the hotel not very inviting
Review 123:Nice rooms, nice design Pool and private beach Great cocktails and food at ibiza club Friendly staff
Review 124:Some things a bit pricey!
Review 125:Good facilities for a resort. Very friendly staff. Very clean. Good range of international cuisine to suit a wide range of nationalities from Asia and the west.
Review 126:It's not really within walking distance of anything so even though taxis can be called it feels limiting.
Review 127:The food was excellent. I was impressed with the quality of everything I ate.
Review 128:The rooms are very nice but the walls are paper thin so the noise from the adjacent rooms was really really loud! Hot water in the shower/bath room was lukewarm at its maximum - definitely needs to be hotter!
Review 129:All the staff are great and very very friendly. The beach and water sports facilities were great and we were able to do a helmet dive and parasailing in one day. Food was nice but quite expensive. Nothing beats home cooked traditional Philippino food!
Review 130:by checkout they double charged me by a mistake from a manager with less experience and some managers speak poor english,5 star is overated at the moment and food is realy overpriced
Review 131:beach,pool,ibiza dining area
Review 132:There was no free breakfast. I requested for a no smoking room and they gave me one. They should have a floor exclusive for smoking and NO smokings rooms only.
Review 133:Staff were hospitable. Place is good if you want to destress yourself.
Review 134:room noise * Shuttle Bus first come first take I had had to take a taxi because the shuttle van was full of people. (twice) It didn't wait a minute even though I had arrived at the stop on right time. The front did not handle the problem, and even seemd that they didn't care about it.
Review 135:clean overall staff kindness comfortable
Review 136:tried to book online for 3 people as advertised however could only book for 2 with a note for third person. Got charged double the cost advertised for the 3rd person upon arrival. Ala carte breakfast was only available in the restaurant as room service prices. Very stingy servings with each item to be purchased separately even the toast for the eggs. Snorkel hire was only possible for 4 hrs min and should have been included in the resort cost.
Review 137:The fact that when booking your room there is no way to tell that every evening meal is Italian fare which if you stay a whole week can become boring unless Italian is your thing. When booking your room be sure to indicate how many adults are staying with you because it affects the price of half board not like other hotels which will normally include breakfast for 2 or 4 people depending on the room size you book at other Hotels like Alpa City Suites or the Harold which has no problem granting a meal for the number of guests a room can accommodate at no additional charge. And both Alpa and Harold's have excellent meals all day long. Movenpick is a very nice resort they are a bit stingy when it comes to how many adults can eat their if you at booking didn't allow them to charge you extra for it. I'd go there again in the future just maybe not for so many days and perhaps check out other resorts on Macten.
Review 138:Staff that worked in the restaurant called Sails. Breakfast was perfect.
