Reviews for Hotel Trusty Nagoya

Review 1:Room is kind of small! Breakfast is not worth it; don't buy it if it is not included in the price. But considering the price, it is okay and worth it.

Review 2:Location is wonderful!! Staff's English is good.

Review 3:The breakfast is not recommended - but it is already included in the room fare. the room is pretty small - hard to lay two suitcases on the floor.

Review 4:Location is really good. A cafe, a convenient store, and a station nearby! Staff is very nice - they help you put the luggages back to the hotel room.

Review 5:Parking cost about 1000-1200 yen. As it is a business hotel, may not be for those on a budget (I paid about 6000+ yen for a night's stay)

Review 6:Cosy and comfy room. 5-10 min walk to station. Nice cafe next door (The Cups). Easily accessible hotel that is near the Science museum. Be sure to try Misokatsu Yabaton!

Review 7:Hotel should not the paid Videa programme(porn) to be freely accessible !! Aircon not working, hot in room. Front desk not patient, lacking in English.

Review 8:Clean.

Review 9:Restaurant was a bit dark at night.

Review 10:Friendly staff and excellent facilities. Lovely clean environment. A great standard at a very reasonable price.

Review 11:The only bad thing is their air conditioning. I don't know why it's not working.

Review 12:Very good location in Nagoya. Very accessible and easy to find. The room is comfortable for sleeping at night after the whole day of touring around Nagoya and the beautiful Gifu City.

Review 13:High charges for breakfast, the size of the room is just a little bigger than the size of the bed in it. The reception didn't have power adapters for foreign travellers.

Review 14:Close to the subway station, very good location.Since we only stayed for one day and moved round a lot, it was a priority

Review 15:The person at reception spoke very little English:( however, we managed to communicate.

Review 16:Clean rooms, good water pressure in the shower, amenities provided were nice

Review 17:only thing that was a disappointment lobby bar closed at half nine so once teens in own rooms adults had no where to go and chat

Review 18:had a single room really lovely bed was bigger than normal single and everywhere in hotel was really clean

Review 19:i have a bit of difficulty getting and keeping English on my TV.

Review 20:The staff here are the best! They even take great care of you after you have checked out.i

Review 21:The map provided by the hotel is rather confusing. We got lost trying to use it.

Review 22:The location is quite good, near several subway stations. Eventhough the hotel doesn't locate within walking distance from the Nagoya station, it isn't that far the taxi from the station costs only about 1,060 yen.The room is rather small just like most budget hotels in Japan but the bed is big enough for 2 persons.

Review 23:I mistakes booked the room for 1 person which I thought "Single Room" means single bed and that'd fit for 2 people! Ok,we don't have problem paying more money to stay in the same room but hotel won't let us do that and they told us that we need to pay for another room and that's really made my husband pissed off then how can the hotel split husband and wife into 2 rooms?!?! this is what made us don't get it before that we've asked for an upgrade room and they said don't have any rooms left later when we started to getting pissed they said "ok we have one deluxe room available" do you understand what I trying to say here? The hotel is trying to get more money by charging the guess for one more room in fact,we can either pay double for extra person OR upgrade to another room. We ended up paying for deluxe room and our last night in Japan was sleep with our unhappiness before leaving the hotel in the next morning after 6 days of impressions in Japan except this hotel.

Review 24:I can say the place is still in the good location

Review 25:Breakfast is too restricted. Also there's two Trusty Hotel near each other - ended up in the wrong Trusty Hotel one rainy night when I asked for direction.

Review 26:The staff is very helpful.

Review 27:Extremely small and dark room for single. Nearly no day light (looking out on wall) Too much old fashioned furniture so that I couldn't open my suitcase on the floor, nearly no space to put laptop on desk. I could follow conversation in neighbouring room. A few days before I got mail for upgrading: I deserved better room: but it was a smoking room!!!

Review 28:Staff was ok.

Review 29:Room smaller than expected.

Review 30:Close to eating areas. Close to subway station. Rooms had old world charm and windows opened. Lovely shampoo and conditioner.

Review 31:Rooms very dusty and poorly cleaned (improved a little bit after complaint), staff communicating poorly among themselves causing an error during booking, one of the female staff members a bit unfriendly on top of that!

Review 32:Location close to a central metro station so fairly OK, price is fair. Stay here for purely practical reasons.

Review 33:Nothing of note. I fair walk from Nagoya station but easy to reach via one stop on the metro.

Review 34:Must admit was a bit worried with the name but this hotel was fantastic. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast is interesting selection of foods but enjoyable. Stayed in a double and small double rooms (2ad and 3 kids) and they were fine in terms of bed size.

Review 35:Room was too small. Bed not so comfy.

Review 36:80s style hotel. Very small room, but clean and quite cozy. Good location, quiet and safe; 15 mnminutes to the castle, 10 to the shops area.

Review 37:There is nothing to write here

Review 38:Friendly staff, super clean rooms, they changed the linen every single day. Location is closer to Sakae and I loved to stroll through the streets

Review 39:Hotel air-cond did not function properly. They said it was because of the cold weather (15-17 degrees) . But the problem was, the aircond turns off within 1 minute. There's nothing to do with the temperature outside. Not that its - 2 degrees outside. It was a faulty aircond. Room was stuffy and they gave us a standing fan throughout our 3 night stay there.

Review 40:nothing!

Review 41:hotel very close to Subway Fushimi station and just about 10 min. to Sakae stations which have a lot of things i.e. department store, restaurant, coffee shop. Staff very helpful. Room is very clean.

Review 42:Quite troublesome to get down and reach the Fushima train platform to Nagoya station, especially with heavy luggages. Have to go up and down with stairs several times before reaching destined platform.

Review 43:Very clean and cosy hotel. Great breakfast in cosy western style restaurant. British style hotel design.great bedding.

Review 44:Honesty of staff. We were already at the airport ready to depart when one of our group found out she left her laptop at the hotel. She called the hotel to tell that it can be sent to the Phils via FedEx but the manager was so kind to bring it to the airport taking the train to make it before our departure

Review 45:Asked for room on high floor away from lift lobby and got a room on a low floor right next to lift lobby. Asked for non smoking room but I could smell cigarette smoke in the room. No coffee in room although green tea provided.

Review 46:Location close to Fushimi station. Walking distance to Nagoya Castle, Nagoya City Science Museum and Art Museum, Sakae and Osu. Hotel was clean and bathroom was well stocked.

Review 47:We have nothing negative to report :)

Review 48:We used hotel trusty as a base in Nagoya while we toured Japan. The location was perfect (under ten mins walk from Fushimi underground) and the staff were very helpful (especially storing our luggage for us when we went on weekend trips). The hotel atmosphere was very peaceful and the room was clean and comfortable.

Review 49:Check-in after 3pm.

Review 50:Good location, walking distance to subway, city science museum, plenty of restaurants at surrounding area, 10 min walk to Sakae shopping district. Hotel room is clean.

Review 51:Nothing!

Review 52:This was perfect for us while visiting our daughter in Nagoya. Five minutes from Fushimi, so not far from Nagoya station. We stayed four times for two or three nights between other Japanese travels over the course of a month. Price varied, but cheapest was about£36 for a small double which suited us fine. Baggage stored while we were away. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful without exception.

Review 53:Slightly smelly bathroom upon checking in, even after room service.

Review 54:The soap, shampoo, and conditioner. They gave both hard pillows and soft pillows. Fast check in& check out.

Review 55:Staff hospitality at Front Desk is quite poor. We were traveling long journey from Surabaya with connecting flight in Kuala Lumpur and arrived at the hotel around 2pm. Upon arrival, we were told that check-in time is 3PM for greetings! Exactly, no any common greetings at all, like 'good afternoon', 'how may I help you', 'how was your journey', etc. We understood that policy because I used to work for hotel industry in managerial level for 10 years. However, I believe that the policy can be flexible in term of service and hospitality. At least, greeting and offering for help to express their attention and care. Unfortunately, we couldn't find that from this hotel. Even though, we tried to give them our passports for registration while we were waiting, they handed them back and ignored us. We don't really know if it's because of their policy or system. To us, they're like a robot, indeed. By the way, we afterward stayed in 5-star hotels (Sheraton Miyazaki, Westin Osaka and Westin Nagoya), everything is exceptional in those hotels, though.

Review 56:Location and cleanliness. Not too far from metro station and city centre. Obviously, cleanliness is quite common in Japan, everywhere is spick and span.

Review 57:Just the inconvenience of having to take a flight of stairs to get to the lobby while hauling a trolley bag - there is only one escalator that sometimes goes up or down depending on the time of day.

Review 58:Very close to subway station, spacious rooms (considering the usual rooms in Japan), quiet and within walking distance to a lot of eateries

Review 59:Limited seating area and food choice for breakfast since it located in the lobby area.

Review 60:Staff were friendly, even with Thai language staff. 5 min walk to subway. Rooms are clean and new.

Review 61:The budget rate we were offered on this small (but plenty big enough for us) double room was better than hostel accom. While we haven't met other travellers here having such a clean comfortable room has been lovely. Rates have crept up on return visits (we have used Trusty as a base near our daughter) but you can decide for yourself. We have enjoyed our time here.

Review 62:Coin-operated washing and drying facilities would be useful.

Review 63:Top notch service. We were delayed from leaving by typhoon Phanfone and the staff efficiently arranged an extra night and called the other hotel to change our booking - brilliant

Review 64:Location - a bit quiet and away from main city center but only a short walk from nearest subway Fushimi Smaller room

Review 65:Excellent english-speaking staff with great service Nice bathtub, a wide variety of amenities provided

Review 66:The hotel is rather old stylish and the reception can only speak simple English. No escalator at MTR exit 1, it'd be better to take a taxi or bus if you have big lugguges.

Review 67:I had a nice stay there for 2 nights, the location is ok, just 5min walk from the MTR exit 1. The reception is friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable, room size is larger than expected.

Review 68:We had trouble finding the hotel at times because the street address isn't included in English, just Japanese, so be careful of this.

Review 69:The room was small but we weren't spending much time inside anyway. Quiet street but very close to lots of restaurants, 2 subway stops, convenience stores. I was worried at first about the cigarette smoke downstairs, but our floor and room were fine!

Review 70:Wi-fi was immediately disconnected upon check out although we haven`t left the venue yet; There was no converter from 220 volts to 110 volts...

Review 71:I like your pillows, shampoo, rinse, and the room`s cleanliness...

Review 72:The A.C. was very low and automatically turn off and on when start to be hot,the A.C stay on only for short time.

Review 73:Everything was ok,food,service,large room,location,price......

Review 74:Quite far from subway - approx 5-8mins walk.. not much restaurant nearby, air-cond was not cold... i booked 3 rooms, all 3 room's aircond was not cold, barely have cold air..

Review 75:Reasonable pricing

Review 76:- location: walking distance to Nagoya station is rather far, subway Fushimi is close by, but is relatively expensive for just one stop to Nagoya station and you need to carry your luggage on lots of stairs in the subway station (no escalators) - bed was slightly v-shaped - there is a minibar in your room, but there is hardly any space left in the fridge for your own stuff. We prefer an empty fridge in the room and vending machines in the hallways.

Review 77:- room slightly bigger than average business hotels we experienced in Japan - interface of the aircondition easy to understand, also for non-Japanese speakers.

Review 78:There is no halal (muslim) or vegetarian food available in the restaurant/cafe. English speaker is limited in this hotel.

Review 79:Facilities were very good and the price is quite cheap. The room was very comfort and beautiful.

Review 80:The walk to Sakae is approximately 10-15mins walk.. though there is subway, but with a baby on stroller, it is inconvenient to take the subway...the aircond is not at all cold, not even close to chill, but i guess it is the norm for the whole hotel.. my friends in 2 other rooms faces the same issue

Review 81:The room size is spacious (in Japanese terms), the price is reasonable, check in and check out is fast

Review 82:The escalator in front only goes one way at particular hours of the day. You will struggle with the suitcases if its not going the way you want when you leave or arrive.

Review 83:Very big room compared to other Japanese hotel rooms we have been to! The bed was comfortable. wi fi great! Situated in not so busy area, walking distance to a lot of restaurants!

Review 98:The hotel room was comfortable, good value for money.

Review 99:Located close to subway. Corner double room small but very comfortable bed and a quiet room. Japanese breakfast very good.

Review 100:Great area to be in, close to Nagoya Castle and a lot of excellent restaurants. The hotel staff was friendly and their English was good.

Review 101:Good location - 2-minute walk to subway station, 15-min walk to Nagoya Castle, clean comfortable rooms

Review 102:A bit far away from shopping centre

Review 103:spacious semi-double room (15 sqm), comparing with other Japanese hotels; set breakfast is nice; wifi is stable

Review 104:Breakfast is not great No Business Centre

Review 105:Good location Clean and comfortable Quiet

Review 106:Very good value for money, great location, nice rooms and lobby

Review 107:very very small room without real window!!

Review 108:the furnitures are fine

Review 109:The room is way too tiny that theres no where you could open the suitcase.

Review 110:Location was alright, many foodie place around.

Review 111:Wifi signal not that strong but I think this is a common issue in japan..hard to find free wifi or strong signal when we use a mobile wifi router

Review 112:Good quality / price

Review 113:At least they should provide drinking water for free rather than buying from the vending machine

Review 114:Cleanliness

Review 115:Hotel sign is difficult to see

Review 116:Great customer service English speaking staffs

Review 117:rooms are really small. Carpet seem little old.

Review 118:Convenient store close by, staff friendly, tub in room.

Review 119:The price is a bit high

Review 120:The restaurants and convenience stores around, TV Tower and Sakae within walking distance

Review 121:Rooms are very small. Garage parking is complicated, 4 breakfast choices only.

Review 122:Friendly and helpful staff. All in all Ok for the price

Review 124:Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean, comfortable bed.

Review 125:Bed seems little soft.
