Review 1：Lack of privacy on the terrace and lack of outdoor playground - but this will be fixed after the renovation in Nov. 2015.

Review 6：Classy hotel in a quiet part of the algarve- 10 mins walk to the (blue flag) beach, 3-4 places to eat overlooking the beach. Not as secluded as it may look on the map. Rooms are nicely appointed and designed- separate living area/ kitchenette is a great bonus.

Review 7：Situation of hotel on a lovely quiet stretch of coastline,so close to a beautiful sandy beach and the added bonus of superb fish restaurants within walking distance made it ideal. Staff could not have been more genuinely pleasant, friendly and willing to help. Accomodation was extremely comfortable and breakfasts were excellent.

Review 9：The setting was beautiful, very tranquil. Rooms very spacious, clean and quiet with extremely comfortable beds. Outdoor areas beautiful. The evening dinner menu was unusual and all the food looked and tasted amazing...fantastic service by the head waiter too.

Review 10：It's an apart-hotel and there could be more variation in communal areas - the bar area is just a bit of a waiting area for the restaurant and shows football whenever on. At least 80% of guests are families with kids under 5 - breakfasts and the pool can get noisy. Staff said they are due to add another storey onto the hotel in winter 2015, increasing rooms by about a third. This will make it probably a bit too busy (you already need to book up a table for dinner in advance).

Review 11：Friendliest staff I have come across in a hotel - from the manager right down to the cleaners. Nice clientele, lots of Portuguese guests - nice not to be surrounded by other Brits! Relatively quiet neighbourhood and not too far from the beach. The restaurant does lovely food. Generally a chilled atmosphere.

Review 12：The sympathy off all the personal, from the GM to all the maids, it felt like we were at home. Very good restaurant, traditional ingredients perfectly cooked in a creative way. Perfect for families, with a nice small pool and 10 mnts way from one of the best beaches in the Algarve.

Breakfast was great and even I found a lot of stuff I liked, despite being picky and usually eating hardly anything at breakfast in hotels.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, in particular to children and any additional request (e.g. bathtube for baby) is fulfilled. WIFI worked well all over the place, even at the pool bar.

The beach is quite close and the swimming pool area looks like quite enjoyable (we were there in January). Definitely the best place we have been to in Algarve in the last years.

Review 24：The hotel construction made it become very windy inside. It was in a constant draft and made it feel a bit uncomfortable. Also, and maybe because of the time of the year, the hotel was clearly understaffed. It lacked people in the restaurante and it was common to see several dirty tables when you walked in the room. Last negative note goes to the absence of a swimming pool staff. It's only when you get to the swimming pool that you realise that you need to collect the towels from the reception (on the other side of the building). That is not the standard of a 4* hotel.

Review 25：Very good location, near to the beach (700m) and with very good car access. Overall design of the hotel is also very nice, with a great bedroom, nice bathroom and a comfortable living room. The room also had 2 LCD (one in the living room and the other in the bedroom) what was quite nice. Although didn't use the kitchen it was very good and more than enough for a vacation type of stay. The restaurant is also good and with very nice food and wine. The swimming pool is also very good although the pine trees make a bit of a early shadow over the sun beads.

Review 57：The restaurant menu is pretty simple, with only a few options. The food was just ok. I expected much more from it. Maybe that is why the rooms have a kitchen.

Review 61：The rooms had buttons to warn the cleaning staff if the room was available to clean or not to disturb. Our were not working and we informed the reception, however no solution was found because we were bothered every day by the maids. The bathroom amenities is nothing but a little soap and the toilet paper refill is poor. We had to use napkins once... The breakfast room, on high season, can be problematic. People can crowd the counter easily (and the kids around parents) making difficult to serve, the tables are not cleaned promptly so the next guests can take the table right away. About the food itself it's generally good but we've missed the croissants and nutella. Also, the pool only have about a dozen of chaise-longues that occupies the small pool area and it will make the summer season pretty challeging to get a spot there. Although we were informed that the hotel is waiting for the cable campany to install the service, the TV only have the 4 portuguese channels and about 20 spanish ones. And the soundproof of the room could be better, we could hear the cleaning staff and some guests.

Review 62：We stayed here one week after the re-opening and it was almost perfect. The staff is great. We were welcomed with a flavored cup of water (hot day), everyone very friendly, ready to help. Even the restaurant staff (cook inclusively), the cleaning staff, etc. It's located in a very calm urbanzation surrounded by pine trees, close to the beach (about 20min easy walking) and 15min from Spain. The nearest supermarket is only a couple of km's away. The design is great with a mix of modern and wooden/stone theme, mainly the restaurant "Terra" (where the breakfast is also served). The outside spaces are very cleaned and well maintained (gardens, walkways, pool). The room itself is very spacious with a nice living room, kitchen (fridge, microwave, espresso machine, electric stove, cookware, etc.) and a balcony with a nice pool/cannal view. The restaurant "Terra" is great. It has a firewood oven where they make some good pizzas, other meals and the breakfast bread too.

Review 73：I was disappointed to be charged for internet when the information in the room stated that internet was free. I was refunded the full amount charged when I brought this up with a member of staff. It was disappointing to have to ask several times for beach towels, and then even more disappointing to be told that we had to keep the same towels for the week, and should we wish to change them we would be charged an additional 5 euros for every new towel. The television was very temperamental which, under normal circumstances would not make any difference, but with the French Open finishing and Euro 2012 starting we were keen to watch some of the tennis and football and thus it was very frustrating. The kitchenette in the room was very smart, but the sofa, cushions and headboard were all rather tatty and could do with being replaced. The pool areas, whilst very nice, were also tired looking - the sun loungers and parasols were very rickety (it seemed that some work was being done on both of these whilst we were there) and the wall at the pool near the hotel could do with a good clean.

Review 74：On the whole, the reception, waiting and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. A special mention should go to the young lad at the pool near the beach - he was friendly, smiley and very helpful. The hotel was in a very good location in the Algarve, with the towns of Altura (quite small) and Vila Real de Santo Antonio close by on either side. Vila Real was an especially pretty little town, with a beautiful marina, central square and a lot of restaurants and bar/cafes. The two swimming pools at the hotel were well-used and enjoyed by us throughout our stay (although the water was a little cold!). Our room had a beautiful view over the nearer pool and towards the sea and we enjoyed a drink each evening on the balcony. Breakfast was very enjoyable and the cinnamon rolls and pain au chocolat were some of the best we have tasted! The plants and trees around the hotel area were beautiful and added some lovely colour to the view. The whole area was very quiet due to the time of year, although it did get a little busier over the weekend due to a national holiday on 8th June and Portugal Day on 10th June. A relaxing and peaceful holiday that we enjoyed very much.
