Review 1：mother and kids club dont seem to operate/open. u still need a car to go out, if you dont mind to walk a bit stretch. furniture is dated but we didnt stay in the room the whole day, should be ok..

Or maybe because they dont appriciate local guest? They didnt seems love to welcome the guest. The SPA also need more staff because their only have one staff and its close early from the time its should be. But its just ok. Not that bad.

Review 29：I think the infinity pool concept which is chargeable to guests in the same hotel is a weird concept which separates guests and does not give the majority of guests booking normal rooms a good feeling. It also blocks out what could have been an AWESOME view of the sea and beach for the bulk of guests using the common pool which is already beautiful and a nice size.The infinity pool is totally unnecessary and guests may not return to this hotel solely because of this reason which is a waste.The money could have been much better spent by upgrading the rooms for instance.

Review 34：Beautiful and peaceful location on the beach. It was lovely and tranquil. Great variety of restaurants on and off the property nearby. It is such a beautiful beach that even the tourists that weren't staying in the resort, would relax at the beach chairs ;)

Review 35：Rooms are old and mouldy. Needs upkeep. Went for a holiday but ended up feeling stressed because of the room which was bad. Got an upgrade after we complained. But the upgraded room had an air-cond which we couldn't control the temp. Felt frustrated and couldn't wait to check out and go home. I will not bring my family back here. Especially for the price I paid. Better options nearby.

They wanted to change our rooms again but we were jus fed up moving so we stayed back in the second room. Review 45：This hotel does not deserve a 4 star rating, it should be 3 star. It seems like some part of the hotel is partially renvoated, rest was left as it was. Till reception everything seemed good, the moment we entered pathway which lead to our room, this path looked like a cheap flat with old doors. Entrance to room is a full step higher, and you could even listen the footsteps of person passing by your room outside, which was very disturbing. There was no luggage rack inside the room. Bathroom was quite conjusted. Cheap plastic Balcony chairs, rather they were supposed to be wooden. Room fridge was empty, no chocolates or drinks. This hotel needs serious renovation.

Review 60：Hotel is outdated, the furnishing are probably still the original ones from the 1970's when the place was built. You have to pay extra 25RM to use the infinity pool, like I'm not paying enough already! Most of the staff are hopeless and do not understand English well. Accidentally locked our key in our apartment and we had to wait 30min outside our door for someone to come and open it for us. They did not ask for any identification so we could have just robbed someone else's room. When the staff finally came they didn't apologise for the delay, instead they said they had already come to the room twice and no one was there to open the door for. We were there the entire time, I'm not sure why they would say that. The bed is the hardest and most uncomfortable I have ever slept on and the walls are paper thin so all you hear during the night are loud noises as other guests walk down the hallways at unreasonable hours. Hardly slept for the 5 nights we stayed there.

There were so many plastic and glass bottles, brushes, metal debris, plastic bags everywhere on the beach and in the water. Not swim-able at all.The management should impose a fine for those who litter and make efforts to clean up every so often. Balcony of villa had lots of insects breeding. Toilet in the room had a funky smell from the drainage in the floor.

I booked a deluxe room but they gave me a room where two twin beds were joined to make a deluxe bed. When I called reception they told me they don't have any deluxe room. Then why they booked me?

Review 109：If you are not willing to spoil your holiday and stay avoid checking in with Zuraidah or even talking to her. She tricked us and lied to us many times, besides she was rude. I believe that she simply does not like her job. The check in was a nightmare. She just spoiled our stay. The same goes with the staff in general. It is really sad as the hotel has a lot to offer, but the members of staff seem to be so bored with guests and tourists in general. A customer service review should be conducted as it simply reflects the management style who is not willing to do much to make the guests stay a pleasant experience. It is really sad as the hotel has a lot of potential. In short, I believe that Zuraidah has no clue of what Hospitality and Tourism mean!!!?!?! I wonder how come she is working in a four-star hotel. The quality of the rooms is very variable, so if you are lucky enough at the check in, and the staff are in a good mood, then you will see another face of Holiday Vila than the one we experienced by check in with Zuraidah, so guys, good luck!!!!! (Remember, avoid talking to memebers of staff, it is not the same experience we had somewhere else where everyone is smiling and greeting you)

They told us he will be there by 7PM, then 7:30PM but he never showed up I guess because of Christmas eve

Evidence of attempts to refresh (paint rooms & bath) but quality of workmanship poor. TV remote controls held together with tape, room safe batteries exposed and operating instruction did not match the safe type. Exposed lamp wiring into plugs. Overall style very dated and in need of update & refresh. Local village: let down by the many & frequent safety issues with roads/pavements and drain smells etc. Clear the hotel and local village had seen better days and was in need of a post world recession refresh - this was probably pronounced for us as had spent x5 days in Singapore (fresh, clean, modern) before Langkawi.

Review 144：Remote, too far to walk to Cenang Centre, have to use taxi all the time, alternative is renting a car. Front staff and roomservice staff are very responsive to our needs, but no so much restaurant and pool staff, sometimes poolside order can take up to 30mins for food, no staff will ever come over and ask weather you will like anything to order. Pool hardly get cleaned, although the water is always clear. At night hotel really need to prove some entertainment, e.g. live bands.
