Reviews for La Bastiglia
Review 1:The hotel has a spectacularly view over the adjacent mountains and vineyards. If the location were not enough to recommend a stay, the restaurant alone would commend a visit.
Review 2:The welcome at check-in came across a touch " reserved". Amore welcoming greeting would be fitting of such a fabulouslylocated hotel.
Review 3:Excellent location. Ambience of Tuscan architecture & history withbeautiful views. Accommodation was very clean & spacious with goodair con. Great to have secure underground parking ( extra charge ).Reception need to place a good visible reminder notice at the entranceregarding the possibility of grounding the underside of any lowsuspension cars on access and exit. Need to keep tight to the left handwall on the way in to clear the ridge-joint between car park &entrance ramp.
Review 4:As with the rest of Italy, people were allowed to smoke around food areas which spoilt my enjoyment of the food.
Review 5:Our room had the most amazing view out over the mountain. Walked to the town and enjoyed the bars and cafes.
Review 6:We picked this as a 4 star for our wedding anniversary. It didn't match up to the 6 other brilliant hotels found for this trio on Booking.com. Felt like they were resting on their laurels and hadn't prepared for the start of the season.
Review 7:Great location in Spello
Review 8:the hotel corridor full of up and down stairs which creates difficulties when pulling luggage.

Review 33:Situated in a beautiful place. .Had a wonderful room with the most amazing views.Staff extremely helpful and friendly.Would stay there again. Spello is a lovely town, beautifully taken care of,and with easy access to Assisi, Perugia and other places in the area.
Review 34:Booked the most expensive suite in the hotel with terrace and jacuzzi (300 euro per night). The jacuzzi did not work and no one bothered to tell us when we checked in. When we complained we were told it has just stopped working a couple of days before and they were waiting for maintenance to fix it. This was clearly not true, the jacuzzi was filthy and infested with flies -- a health hazzard. Clearly had not work in weeks or even months. Got a discount on the room (210 euro per night) but decided to check out after one night and moved to amazing hotel in Assisi. Also the whole building has a serious cobweb problem ... someone needs to clean.
Review 35:Staff were friendly but the hotel is badly managed -- the incompetence is shocking and hard to believe for a four star hotel. It is a terrible shame as the location is amazing and the building is beautiful. Just needs a competent management team and a good cleaning.
Review 36:La Bastiglia is a charming, romantic hotel in Spello, a quiet medieval hillside village that is home to many artists and artisans. The food is excellent, the accomodations are comfortable and the view over the hills is delightful.
Review 37:Terrible air con. Pool area very poor dirty and uncared for. Staff pleasant but unprofessional. Needs some attention and love as all the basic stuff is there to make it a great hotel.
Review 38:Great location. Good value room. Good bathroom and shower.
Review 39:The restaurant
