Reviews for Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo
Review 1:We waited at the wrong bus stop and had missed our bus. The bell boy went an extra mile to ensure we were seated at the correct bus when the next bus was scheduled to arrive. We were grateful for his kind actions!
Review 2:Bed too soft, pillow too hard. This is our 2nd time in this hotel but our room was in the back of the hotel with no view. We prefer our room when we first visited, the room was in the front with good view and more spacious
Review 3:Good location, clean room, staff helpful
Review 4:Very friendly and helpful staff. Help us to communicate with the Airlines, Taxi company when we need to change our flight urgently. Appreciate the help very much
Review 5:1) connection from carpark to hotel involved both stairs and a change of lifts...quite inconvenient when we had many luggages and a young child to transport. 2) substandard service level -- we'd bought a Hokkaido Melon and were hoping that the hotel could help us to cut it for us. the bell captain was as helpful as she could be but apparently the hotel's restaurant refused to help, so the best we could get was a small knife lent to us. in the end we had to make do with the tiny countertop space in our room's toilet with no plates (other than the teacup plates) and towels to cut the juicy melon up on. 3) the location of the hotel wasn't as convenient as we thought when we booked it - we still had to cross 2 unsheltered traffic lights to get to the nearest shopping mall/subway. there were at least 3-4 other hotels of similar standard we could have booked instead and will definitely do that next time we return to Sapporo.
Review 6:toiletries were decent
Review 7:Beautiful, large room with all the extras. Good view of Sapporo. Staff were very attentive. Just rather expensive but it was the holiday week and you get what you pay for.
Review 8:Nothing
Review 9:The room and bathroom are big for Japanese standard. There were a choice of two types of teas, which makes a nice change, We had the help of an English speaking staff to help book our taxi to airport.
Review 10:The first time in my traveling that we should pay for Swimming Pool, it's not because of money, but I think it's never happen before for myself.
Review 11:Reception is okay
Review 12:The staff at the reception saw the room i booked can't fit all of us (4 adults and 1 infant) and upgrade us to a bigger room with discounted price! The room with 4 twin beds turns out to be really nice as some of the floors are newly revamped with modern and comfy decor. The staff even offer us the baby guard for the bed so my baby won't fall down after sleep!
Review 13:the floor was carpetted. The bedrooms should not be carpetted to prevent dust mites from matresses and carpets. It triggers allergies, asthma, and rhinitis.
Review 14:In- house restaurants made dining convenient and food was good. Location of Keio Plaza was perfect.
Review 15:Having to log in daily for wifi was an inconvenience
Review 16:Bartender, Satosan, was incredible, one of a kind who has set the bar so very high for everyone else. We enjoyed his impeccable service for five nights. Truly a highlight!
Review 17:The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. The walk to the train station would have been enjoyable if it weren't for the cold weather, wind and rain.
Review 18:Close to shopping mall, restaurants & train station. Very convenient as airport limousine bus stop at hotel doorsteps. Also car rental company is in basement of hotel.
Review 19:Not much
Review 20:Very helpful staff and you will get what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Airport shuttle bus stop in the hotel as well as Niseko shuttle bus.
Review 21:Nothing.
Review 22:5mins walk (south gate) from Sapporo train station. To Otru park is less than 20mins walk. Very convenient location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is clean and bathroom is big for Japan standard. We were on 15th floor with good view. Highly recommended for the price, standard and location.
Review 23:Room - a little out of date Bed - quite hard
Review 24:The Family room - it's comfortable enough for my family of 2 adults and 3 children with 2 bathrooms to acccomadate us all. Reception - excellent and fast especially when we arrived with snow covering us top to toe.
Review 25:The arriving airport bus stops over at Keio Plaza Hotel only at certain timings. Have planned to take the bus straight from the airport to the hotel but realise that it is scheduled only available for a later trip. So have to take a earlier bus and get off at JR Sapporo station and then walk over (8 mins) instead. Cumbersome but secured wifi signup/connectivity offering. Late check in time of 3pm (standard for Japan hotels?)
Review 26:The airport limousine stops over at the hotel (ground floor driveway), making it convenient for travellers with many luggage to move around during airport transfers. Many restaurants/facilities within the hotel and short walk to JR Sapporo station/shops/restaurants.
Review 27:- pillow size too small
Review 28:- convenient location near JR - family marts and 7-11 nearby - vast choices of restaurants and department stores - ski bus pick up/drop off point right at front door
Review 29:The guest rooms decor can do with some modernising.
Review 30:Just three blocks walking from JR Sapporo station with many good food options. Bus for Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort leaves directly from hotel. Some airport limousine bus also leaves directly from the hotel. Very helpful Concierge Service!
Review 31:The only minor dissatisfaction is the mattress is a bit too hard and stiff for us.
Review 32:We were travelling with our elderly mother who has severe pain in both knees, and required a wheelchair to travel throughout our trip in Hokkaido. The hotel was very helpful and helped us to accept the delivery of the wheelchair and paid up-front for the delivery even before we arrived at the hotel. We were really impressed with this extra service and the willingness to accommodate their customers. Our hotel room also was fitted with two toilets for three guests which was also very throughful. The buffet breakfast is really sumptuous and nice. All hotel staff were very courteous and friendly.
Review 33:friendly and helpful staff. good lobby ambience and location of hotel. clean room and comfortable beds. Direct bus to/from Chitose airport.
Review 34:Every 2-3 minutes you could hear the JR Train Pass by if your room was located on the train track side. Daily Complementary Breakfast Buffet and the use of their gym/pool would have been nice if it was included in the price of the room. The option for a late check out would have been nice. There should be a "Tourist Information" kiosk in the hotel lobby in various languages providing brochures for places of interests, city maps, directions to nearby attractions (concierge desk is closed at night)
Review 35:The Service was Good-Excellent... workers spoke both Japanese and English. The room was very big and clean compared to other hotel rooms in Japan. Over all my experience at the Keio Plaza Hotel in Sapporo was Awesome! I will stay at the Keio again when I visit Sapporo, Japan. The hotel was able to hold onto my luggage...I had a late departure in the evening after I checked out at 11am. The hotel is walking distance from Sapporo Station. Free WiFi was excellent and fast.
Review 36:The foreign currency exchange is limited to USD and they do not accept SGD. They did however direct me to a foreign currency exchange establishment that was near by.
Review 37:The proximity to restaurants and the train station . Friendly and efficient staff.
Review 38:My room is near the trails of train station. So it is a little noisy! The windows in room can not be opened because of trails I guess so the air in room is not so fresh!

Review 40:Could be bit more natural light in the lobby, but not a real problem.
Review 41:While a bit old, the Keio Plaza Hotel remains one of Sapporos finest hotels and has managed to keep an exclusive athmosphere.
Review 42:Maybe I don't know the shortcut route as per other customer, it took me more than 5 mins to walk from JR station to the hotel. It is impossible to walk within one minute between JR and the hotel.
Review 43:The staff is very helpful and nice. They tried their best to fulfill my request. Compared with the other hotel that I stayed in the same trip, its room is big enough and even with a massage sofa. It is not expensive.
Review 44:Hotel is a bit old but well maintained so it's not a big deal.
Review 45:Love the hotel staff attitude especially Mr. Ryosuke Nambu from room sales. He provided me with the room type that I need and I am very happy with the room and service. Room size is big according to japan standard. Seven Eleven just across the street. 3 minutes walk to JR Station.
