Furuya Ryokan descritpion
Furuya Ryokan sells fast on our site. Built in 1806, Furuya is the oldest ryokan in the Atami hot-springs area. A 3-minute walk to Atami Sun Beach, it boasts a variety of beautiful hot-spring baths and features traditional Japanese rooms, some with their own private hot-spring bath.
Rooms at Furuya Ryokan are decorated in Japan’s famous minimalistic style, and include an LCD TV and a low table with floor cushions. Each room is air-conditioned and includes an en suite bathroom.
A 2-minute walk to the Atami Ginza shopping area, the ryokan is a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk from JR Atami Train Station. On-site parking is free.
Guests can soak in the indoor bath, which uses pure hot-spring water pumped directly from the source. Guests can also unwind with a massage or check out the unique local wares at the gift shop.
Multiple courses of gorgeously presented Japanese cuisine are served for the Kaiseki dinner, and breakfast is a traditional set menu. In-room dinners are served at 18:30.

Reviews for Furuya Ryokan
Review 1:Atami is not interesting. The hotel has no view of the sea. The view from the room is an ugly neighboorhood. No shuttle service from the hotel to the train station. Had to walk in the rain or take a taxi. The food wasnt what I expected from a Ryokan. Stayed in much better ones in japan.
Review 2:The facilities are bit outdated, but it's to be expected given this is one of the oldest ryokan in Atami. Everything was super clean though.
Review 3:The food was amazing! The private onsen in our room was the highlight of the trip. Although the staff don't really speak very good English, but they are all super friendly and helpful.
Review 4:Language barrier - if you can't speak Japanese, it'll be challenging
Review 5:Very attentive staff and service, very good food, good onsen, small yet private setting, very clean room and facility, free Wi-Fi
Review 6:The Ryogan should provide free transportation to train station.
Review 7:Professional Ryogan. We had very good time there
