Reviews for Le Repaire - Boutique Hotel & Restaurant

Review 1:Perfect location, proximity to the ferry terminal, great staff coordination, the owner was very friendly and helpful in explaining the island and main destinations. Italian Food at their restaurant too was awesome.

Review 2:Wifi is so slow it was hardly worth using. But that was our only problem and frankly who cares

Review 3:Fabulous hotel in great location. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We had the best time on our honeymoon

Review 4:we did not sleep !!! the place is SO NOISY, anything happening inside or outside you hear it. staff of the restaurant juste below discussed loudly till midnight, then various noises during the night and at 6:45am they decided to cut the trees with with an mechanical saw... Further, some of the staff is autoritary not to say rude, particularly at the reception. fortunately our stay was only one night

Review 5:nice location, equipment, beach access and pool BUT...

Review 6:Did I really get the superior room I booked? My room was quite small, there was no sofa, no bathroom or slippers. overpriced restaurant which my room was right above so it was quite noisy at meal times.

Review 7:Fronting a beautiful beach. Lovely room decor. Helpful staff.

Review 8:The free wifi (which is free so can't complain too much) was actually really bad. I haven't experienced Internet connection that frustrating in a very long time. It is lucky that it was free otherwise it would be a big problem!

Review 9:The staff were super friendly and really made the stay. They were welcoming and open and went out of their way to make us feel relaxed and on holidays. The breakfast was fantastic and I especially liked their amazing omelet. The restaurant on site I would say is the best place to eat on the island. It is expensive but the food was really really good. The pizza was amazing and the desserts were amazing. It was really easy to get around from the hotel by bike or on foot. The staff were very helpful in organising rental bikes for us on the first day for our whole stay.

Review 10:The first time we had dinner in the restaurant they forgot to gave us some bread with olives, which you should get if you eat something in the restaurant. Ask for it if you want it and they forget it. We found out the second time we had dinner there. Most of the rooms are around or above the restaurant. In the evening it can get a bit noisy and you miss some privacy on your balcony. Also there is a lot of smells coming in your room from the kitchen or people smoking on the terrace downstairs. We had two nights during our stay that the fire/smoke alarm went off at 3 in the morning. Also when the phone ringed in reception we could hear it quite loud in our room. The neighbor next door has some roosters which start crowing with pauses from 2 in the night until 7 in the morning. It woke us up several times. We liked the hotel but the noises took a lot of our rest. For the price that you pay for the place these things good be improved. (The people on the island are used to have their chickens running free, you will see a lot of them around the island. This will not be something that will easily be solved. I am sure other hotels/lodges face the same problem.)

Review 11:Nico the Manager of the hotel came to pick us up with the big carriage bike. A really nice social person that gave us during the small walk to the hotel immediately interesting information about the island and where to go. In the hotel we got a free map with an explanation on what you can visit. The rooms are spacious and modern with a comfortable bed. Although, the matras felt for us a bit too hard. The husband of Nico is the chef of the restaurant and makes really nice Italian food. We eat there really good Italian pizza, steak and tuna. The breakfast in the morning is good with nice coffee. The bikes they rent from the hotel are good. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The airco unit in the room is modern and doing a good job. You will need it :-) There are also some supermarkets nearby.

Review 12:The rooms here are gorgeous, the balcony with a sea view and luxurious large bed were fantastic to come back to after a busy day out adventuring. There are very limited restaurant options so having one of (if not the) best attached to the hotel with guaranteed tables each night was fabulous. We were also looked after wonderfully, our suitcases were even wheeled on a big cart by hand to the port! Can't fault anything. If we ever come back to La Digue we'll come here.

Review 13:hooster woke us up at 5:00am ...

Review 14:welcome by Nicole included all details and recommendations for our stay in la Digue Achille was very friendly Breakfast and pizza were very good Beach in front of the hotel

Review 15:Location; Garden; Room; Management and Staff - Nico, Enzo, Zenaida, Ashil - always smiling, making your stay as pleasant as possible; Restaurant; Cleanliness and all those figures with towels on the bed - thanks to the chambermaids.

Review 16:The water and beach outside the hotel was not very nice. But they have an ok pool.

Review 17:The owner, an italian charming lady, was very helpful and gourgeos! She helped us finding good restaurants, a great guide and renting bicycles! The restaurant was also nice, both the passion fruit risotto and the pizzas.

Review 18:There were some internet falls from time to time, but nothing serious. It seems to be a general problem in the island.

Review 19:There can be a better and more expensive option, but for sure there cannot be a better service (Restaurant, reception (Nicoleta is super) Some examples: without requesting it, we were offered great tips to move around the island (restaurants, beaches, excursions); The dinner in their italian restaurant is great. They brought our luggage to the port (less than 500m far) at no cost. The rooms are great and comfortable.

Review 20:Really friendly and helpful staff, Excellent restaurant, Pool, beach access Location and ease of services. Arranged bicycle rental within minutes. The complete experience of residing in la digue.

Review 21:the management ist great, working hart and is very nice. thank you for the best pizza !

Review 22:The sou chef not liking music!

Review 23:The staff were superb and made our stay very welcome.

Review 24:The stafs are amazing! Nico, the manager, give us great tips e help us with everything!!

Review 25:Perfect location right on beach. Excellent food at the restaurant. Really helpful staff.

Review 26:The cocktail could be improved

Review 27:The staff !

Review 28:Not so suitable for families with small children (lots of plants with thorns, little space etc.)

Review 29:everything

Review 30:Service at the restaurant can be sometimes slow, but hey, relax, you are on La Digue!

Review 31:Everything was just great. As already mentioned many times in TA, Nico (Nicoletta), the hotel manager, will do whatever she can to make sure you have a great time in Seychelles. Whatever questions, problems or requests - Nico resolves them! The hotel is very new (less than 2 years) and has very comfortable, modern, nicely decorated rooms, a beautiful garden and a small pool. It is located at the beach, but at the time we stayed (early May) the beach had a lot of seagrass. Not a big deal because anyway in Seychelles you should explore all beaches and islands - and there are many beautiful ones without seagrass. We stayed in the best room (Bwa d' roz) which allowed us to have a perfect view of the sunset and the sea. The Italian restaurant is very good and has options for all tastes - from pizza to fish to steak - in the middle-to-high price range for Seychelles standards: main course around 300-450 rupies, roughly 25-35 US dollars. All in all, an excellent small hotel for those who want comfort and charm for a reasonable price.

Review 32:Cute hotel with friendly staff. We stayed there just for one night, but there was a feeling that I would like to go back there ... The beach near the hotel is not very good (small depth and a lot of algae), but this did not stop to enjoy your stay in it. The hotel is, though and a small, but quite pleasant pool. To get to the luxury beaches have to sit on a bike and ride ... Fortunately, the island is small and everything is close by)))))

Review 33:Lovely small hotel with a good location and friendly staff. Comfortable, clean & good rooms, small but everything you need was there in such a way that it did not feel small at all.

Review 34:nothing

Review 35:The hotel is very nice, our room is big and clean. From room we can arrive direct the beach, and the scenery is very beautiful. We want to aprreciat to lovely lady--Nicole, she was particularly hospitable. She gave us a lot of good advice about restaurant and the tourist route. And Nicole's husband is chef , originally we thought, in Seychelles we do not want to eat Italian food, but it was raining all the time, we can not get out, eat a meal in the hotel, I did not expect it was so a delicious dinner. Highly recommend this hotel, we had a very nice honeymoon.

Review 36:Great location, beautiful rooms, touch of luxorious, wow showers, excellent food, great breakfast (a lot of choices)with fresh juice and fruits. Friendly staff, great food. We definately want to come back :).

Review 37:Breakfast was the same every day (so a bit monotonous) although choice was reasonable. Italian restaurant is pricey (16 Euro for spaghetti carbonara and 16-20 Euro for a pizza and a bottle of Italian white wine 25-35 Euro) but all restaurants on La Digue charge high prices.

Review 38:Very good hotel with excellent facilities and comfort. Located right in front of beach in beautiful setting. Excellent Italian restaurant. Highly recommended.

Review 39:One staff was particularly unfriendly. Because the hotel is small there are not many staff...so we had to endure his poor attitude from check-in to restaurant, etc. A shame because everything else was perfect and I did not alter my ratings based on his behavior (Let's give him the benefit of teh doubt and not mention his ame here)....everyone else was really really friendly and helpful.

Review 40:Everything was great. The rooms, the environment, the exposure to beautiful sunsets, the good food. Really a very nice place to stay in La Digue. Managed by a nice couple of Italians!

Review 41:If you are looking for a small hotel with good food, great breakfast, spacious light rooms, welcoming owners, nice beach , this is the place to be! Forget the big resorts, this is the best price-quality!

Review 42:The quantity and price of the food - meals were expensive but, for example tuna was served with tomatoes only, the addition of rice would have made it perfect

Review 43:Eating outside by the garden

Review 44:Our room was not available on time for check in but we still had to check out on time. Also check out time is early 10 a.m

Review 45:Staff were great, helpful and friendly with time to chat to guests. We were so happy that we didn't stay at a big, fancy resort. The breakfast on the garden terrace each morning was excellent.

Review 46:The locals on the island have cocks that make some noise (for sure other hotels affected too) but you will get so tired from daily activities (biking, snorkeling, swimming, beach, ...) that you will ignore them or other noises.

Review 47:Great, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, new hotel, 5 months since open, very nice room. Very good location, close to supermarkets and boutiques, best location to access the whole island via bicycles. Nicoletta, the manager of the hotel, was very helpful and give us all kind of tips about the best places to visit on the island, thank you :)

Review 48:Family run hotel and was very nice. Nice room and great service. Italian restaurant there was fantastic (all food is imported from Italy!). La Digue was our favorite island in the Seychelles too.

Review 49:not enough attention to detail, food in restaurant expensive, local staff seem somewhat unhappy, pool small and not really inviting, italian manager stressed out, breakfast variety lacking and skimpy unless you repeatedly ask for more, hotel beach less than impressive and not good for swimming, one room (fler zonn) has a great view of a wall!

Review 50:short walk to great beaches good italian food rooms impeccably clean new facilities close to main attractions / shops

Review 51:We really liked Le Repair and do not have any complaints. Just one suggestion: maybe it would be a good idea to provide some bottled water in the rooms.

Review 52:We really liked Le Repaire: the food was great starting off with breakfast (especially the fresh fruit platter). The nights we had dinner at the hotel it was prepared by the Italian managing couple and delicious. Especially the pizza! Our rooms were very good and we really liked it that the management had located our children on het ground floor as one of our children is recuperating from a broken leg.

Review 53:We stayed ten nights so the breakfast became a little "boring" given the lack of variety. The roosters from the neighbor were a little annoying especially during early mornings.

Review 54:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Le Repaire. The fact that the facilities were so new was a plus but the best was the location on the beach, friendly and accommodating staff.

Review 55:A great hotel! Convenient location, beach. Service is very good. Brand new hotel, the rooms are in excellent condition. Loved the restaurant at the hotel. Always delicious and fast. Mnusov not found. Only advantages. Thank you very much for a lovely stay!

Review 56:It is well designed and spacious, The rooms are quite big, nicebalconies and good view. The breakfast is excellent, the restaurant isexcellent with a surprisingly good italian chief. Unfortunately no needto search for a better restaurant on the island (which is always nice onholiday). Location is nice and central. The staff and owners are veryvery friendly. We would definitely go back.

Review 57:Location

Review 58:very clean and welcoming place, not luxurious but it makes you feel very comfortable like home with very nice and ready to help people

Review 59:Restaurant menu should include more items. .

Review 60:Friendly staff specially d owners. .excellent location. .

Review 61:Nothing

Review 62:The location and sea view
