Review 1：A green oasis in Tana, the best location by far for me! A wonderful and protected place where you can explore the city when you feel for it instead of having it on your back all the time...

Review 2：On arrival - mosquitos in lobby, lounge, hall and room. However, i was not bitten in 2 days and staff gave me fly spray. However, being on the ground floor (I had requested a higher floor 6 weeks earlier) we couldn't open veranda door due to mosies. Pool wasn't too cold but not warm either.

Review 3：all staff, including cleaners could understand english - quite an exception after travelling 16 days over madagascar and visiting 8 hotels (aiming at more budget conscious travellers). Staff were also helpful. We were both impressed with the food - and happy eating in.

Review 4：I didn't enjoy the restaurant. The local chicken dish was more bone than chicken and the service in the restaurant was a little shoddy. The breakfast selection was also a little bleak. The Wi-Fi wasn't particularly great.

Review 5：The hotel was like a welcome oasis in the middle of the crazy busy intimidating city. The staff were friendly and the free drinks in fridges in the corridors were great.

Review 6：When we asked for a larger taxi to the airport with three pieces of luggage that wasn't taken care of and the car was a regular street taxi which couldn't handle the 200kg load and stopped before it reached the property gates. Any other day it's fine, but when one needs to reach the airport to catch a flight, time is of essence, so an appropriate car is a must.

Review 19：After my last two visits to Madagascar, the hotel accommodation was merely going to be wether I have a locked door and a Wi-fi at the foyer, Hotel Tamboho left me with a memorable stay in Tana. The pictures on the website is an understatement of what the hotel is about and can offer. it is more than enough for a couple or solo traveller on business. The fridge outside the room is a plus, and I believe it can be complimented by a basket of fruits or snack packs Overhaul BEST location, and small enough for those personal attentions. I WILL BE BACK!!!!!

Review 20：Too much smoking by French tourists in indoor and outdoor restaurant. I have a cigarette smoke allergy so it was pretty nasty for me not to have a place to eat minus the smoke. Management needs to allocate a non-smoking area!!

Review 22：Small things could make the stay more comfortable, such as closing off the bathroom from the rest of the room completely (there is a large open "window" so if you are with someone who wants to sleep while you shower, there will be no noise barrier). Also, a chain or other sort of interior lock to keep people from entering the room when the guest is in the room would be nice, and add security. A safe that can hold a laptop would be an added benefit, as the in-room safe that is there is too small for a standard laptop. Better lighting in the bathroom or a lighted mirror would be nice too, as the lighting was rather dim. The restaurant menu was very limited, but the food was fine.
