Reviews for Hotel Gracery Sapporo
Review 1:We returned to the hotel on 26-28 Dec 2015 to stay. However, we were given a smoking Triple room though we had selected a non-smoking room at point of booking. The front desk staff was not helpful and told us that it was the hotel policy that non-smoking rooms were based on availability. We are a family travelling with young children (2 & 5 years' old). The staff (Front Desk Manager, a young lady) could have done more to help us instead of just insisting that it's a policy. The lack of empathy and customer service was appalling. Eventually, after 4 hours (at 11pm!!), a senior staff (an assistant Front desk manager) helped us to look for a non-smoking room in a nearby hotel which we were very grateful for.
Review 2:Location.
Review 3:Room size too small for families, no space in room to place luggage. Good for business traveller but not families. No connecting rooms.
Review 4:Good location, 2 mins accross the road from Jr station. Lots of food joints And shopping connected cis underpass.
Review 5:In the underground walkway that connects the hotel to the station, there were a flight of steps down then another flight of steps up. Not the most convenient with luggages but manageable.
Review 6:Excellent location with underground passage that connects to Sapporo station. No need to tow luggages in the snow. Breakfast buffet of good quality. Staff friendly and helpful. They were overbooked during our stay and had to downgrade our rooms unfortunately. They deducted the price difference and gave us breakfast every day during our stay instead. We were fine with this arrangement.
Review 7:1. Double room is too small. Cannot accommodate 2 large suitcases, when opened. One needs to take turn to open suitcases. 2. No wardrobe, only 4 hangers and it is winter season. So, it is a challenge when considering point 1. How to hang? 3. No safe in room. Considering how basic a service a safe is, it is disappointing.
Review 8:Not really a bad experience and it was quickly rectified but I had requested a triple non-smoking room on an upper floor and we were first given a smoking room on the reception level (middle level) & then a double room which is smaller on a higher floor. We were not impressed as we booked months before our stay.
Review 9:The convenience to the station made airport access very easy. We realised later we could access the hotel underground from the station - go down a level and follow the signs.
Review 10:The room is a bit small for opening two 28 inch luggages.
Review 11:The location is near to the Sapporo JR station and very convenient to walk serveral attractions. We also asked the hotel to leave our baggages before check-in date and were pleased with the service.
Review 12:Not many choices of food for breakfast, though it's enough for me
Review 13:New and spacious room in terms of locating in centre of the city, excellent location-opposite to Sapporo Station and a number of big department stores, sound-proof is good, reasonable price
Review 14:Location is just across the road from the train station and you can walk to odori park, the clock tower... even to Sapporo beer museum! its not a pleasant walk (nothing to see but industrial wasteland), but you can do so from the hotel, just 30mins away.
Review 15:From the moment we arrived the parking attendant was rude, refuse to let us use 2 trolleys for our 5 luggages and some shopping bags. There was no porter so we have to struggle with one trolley and carrying the rest of the luggages all the way from car park to the street then took lift to 7th floor! First time in my years of travelling all over the world, a hotel demanded payment upfront! And to make matters worse the room was so small for triple single beds, no wardrobe and space for any luggage! The next day we woke up late as we were down with flu and nobody came to clean our room, despite after informing front desk. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed!
Review 16:Only location
Review 17:the whole floor, corridor and the room smells like cigarettes. got 'upgraded' but was not mindful enough to ask whether it's a smoking room. woke up in the middle of the night as we felt like we were sleeping in an ash tray.
Review 18:nothing beats the locaton
Review 19:Location is direction across the street from JR Sapporo station and when you walk underground, it's connected to the shopping mall APIA, easy walk to the subway station too. room is clean and great view of the JR tower.
Review 20:No coin laundry, one size robe does not fit all. No desk at all.
Review 21:Great location opposite Sapporo station. Feels brand new with clean rooms and valet parking at a cost. Staff were very helpful with advise of local cuisine. Wifi was great, overall well worth a look.
Review 22:I have no complaints when it comes to roomsizes but only when you are forcing all furnitures chunked up at a small corner, it makes the stay uncomfortable. The space should be fairly decent if they swap the TV and place them onto the small desk instead of invading the already non exisiting space between the bed and the window.
Review 23:The location is absolutely convenient for any tourists visiting Hokkaido. Just across the street and it will get you to the Sapporo Station.
Review 24:The location of this hotel is fantastic. There's under passage to the mall n train station fr the hotel. Staff are helpful n profession . It b our ideal stay the next time we visit Sapporo again.
Review 25:Nothing really... they mixed up our reservation and thought we had 3 people when we only had two, so we had an extra bed in our room but there are no issues with that!
Review 26:This is in a great location literally across the street from Sapporo station, which is where you start for JR and bus trips. The JR tower itself has a great selection of food and shopping too. Hotel staff is really friendly, WiFi worked well for free; the free massage chair in the hallway was actually not bad either. We didn't have food in the hotel since there were so many options within walking distance. In fact, for our three day trip, everything was within walking distance.
Review 27:Rooms are very small so you will have to make good use whatever space you have and be tidy. So it's quite tough to leave your luggages open.
Review 28:The location is superb, just a walk across the train station. There's even an underground (basement) entrance if you are afraid of the cold.
Review 29:We booked two rooms, but there are no connecting rooms nor were we placed on the same floor on the first stay (one room being on the smoking floor), but luckily asked in advance for next-door rooms which they were happy to accomodate
Review 30:free wifi in lobby and rooms, right next door to pick-up point for Rusutsu Resort shuttle bus and across the road from Sapporo main station (where we caught train from the airport)
Review 31:We order room for three person, however the room that we had is just enough to put three single beds, there was even not enough space for our luggage to open
Review 32:location is good
Review 33:Lobby is above group, so elevators can be a bit slow at times as so many people using them.
Review 34:Right next to J.R. station and an underground shopping/food arcade. Subway also very close. Staff were amazing and sorted out issues quickly (really good English too!) Rooms were 'squishy' by western standards, but that's because the bed was so huge! bathroom was extra large compared to typical Japanese hotels as well. Wifi in rooms was quick and reliable.
Review 35:Room was relatively small and the bathroom had a strange ammonia smell (seemed like something was leaking).
Review 36:It is a 5 - 10 minute walk from Sapporo station - great location.
Review 37:Nothing to didn't like
Review 38:Great location, front of sapporo station and link with sapporo station by underground lift. There is a hotel living room for coffee and internet.
Review 39:Only one of the 3 lifts is operating at any times. Need to take time to wait.
