Review 1：extras expensive eg. taxis called by hotel were a ripoff without meters. Breakfast really bad. There is no beach just mud. Mosquitoes everywhere.

Review 3：*Old resort which lacks of maintenance *bathroom/Toilet is a gap in the ceiling so it's connected to the sleeping room. Not really nice to hear toilet noise and smells *last food order accepted at 9.30pm *very small selection of meals (ca. 15), la Mar restaurant but never seafood was available *rip-off prices at the restaurant, 2 small spring rolls for 260 pesos *food seems to be not fresh cooked *breakfast is just American Breakfast. There is no selection possible. It consisted every day of coffee or orange juice but not both (OJ @ 180pesos), 1 toast, scrambled egg, 2 slices of Ham or sausage. The breakfast is a joke, even if u don't eat much you will still feel hungry. They also serve service water which we stopped to drink after we started to get stomach problems. (At least the owner is getting his feast every morning and you feel like an idiot) *there is no mini mart in this huge resort so you can't buy drinks, snacks. *swimming pool water looked dirty and not clear and so we did not give it a try. No underwater lights so no swimming after 6pm. By 7pm swimming is no more allowed anyway. *there is no real beach. It's muddy and nobody went swimming there. *there is no entertainment at all and the town is a slum *internet only working in the lobby! No internet in the resort or rooms. *this place is so deserted that you have to pay extra 100 pesos for taxis to pick you up

Review 6：The staff were very attentive and friendly. The manager Gerald was delightful and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much to ask. The pool is beautiful and clean and there was a pool attendant watching at all times. Great for children. Tasty food also. The Room was clean and spacious and Air con was great. Water views too. I would recommend the resort for a fully contained holiday with relaxation and peace. Island tripping right at the door. This is a chance to meet the locals.

Review 8：Cordova Reef Village ResortI stayed there 4 days in November 2015The Resort:Cordova Village Reef Resort is an excellent Resort for anyone who wishes to relax in peace and quiet, for someone who would like a calm and peaceful atmosphere for their holiday, this is the place they have to go. In Mactan, many resorts look like „just“ a hotel, hundreds of rooms within a building. But this Resort is a Special-Real-Resort. Very calm and nice view. I love Cordova, and I love Cordova Reef Village Resort. This place is perfect for those who seek a serene relaxed time away from the busy city! The Resort is in an idylic little haven. Maybe the last on Mactan Island.Location of the Resort:Very far away from crowdy city. First line to the beach. If like love night-life - Taxi can come to collect you and bring you anywhere you like. The Resort is really, really quiet and idylic. I am not very fond of partying so I enjoyed the peace and quite very much. Made feel like I was a thousands miles away from it all.Food:The food also great! Price is very worth it from the service you get.Pool:A really nicely shaped and big swimming pool. The Pool is very big and great for swimming, is great for young and old with lounge chairs and towels aplenty.Garden:Garden is very very large and very well kept. The many trees and palms are also well kept and at night, the garden is light up nicely.Staffs and Management:The staff are very helpful and friendly, the management of the place is excellent and make your stay extremely pleasant. The staff here are approachable and very friendly and very accommodating.All of their staff are well-mannered, very accommodating, and extremely nice.Beach:It is a beach front resort, the beach is with artificial sea walls surrounding the property. Very safty feeling withing this area and very large. There are kayaks available for free rent. The water is very clear and very warm and swimable with small fishes everywhere.

Review 9：A terrible place. Overpriced food, absolutely pointless location, no free airport shuttle, cockroaches in the room, open plan toilet/bedroom, pool was filthy and unusable, beach wasn't maintained and was dirty. Wifi was weak and intermittent. There's nothing to do there. The whole place is shrouded in an enormous sigh - jaded and waiting to die. Horrible. Avoid like the plague. Unless you want to contract the plague.

When we took the taxi for going to airport, we paid 200 pisos more because of the taxi drivers have a agreement with the hotel and they didnt advise us. So we paid 450 pisos for 20 minutes trip in taxi. So noted that.

Review 19：dinner menu choices were limited, cost of drinks was out of proportion - small bottle of water 95 pesos - its about 6 pesos in the supermarket! Restaurant staff lacked direction - they did not keep an eye on customers so you could sit for 15 minutes with empty plates. In fact it seemed that customers were a distraction rather than the reason for them being there.

Review 22：Our bungalow was very comfortable and clean. The resort is very quiet and very safe and a perfect place for a honeymoon. The pool and the grounds are beautiful fruit trees are everywhere. The staff is attentive and extremely efficient with proficiency in English. And the food is excellent. This is definitely one of the nicest resorts I've ever stayed at and I would highly recommend it. Looking forward to our next trip to the Cordova reef Village Resort.

Review 23：Wifi doesn't work, breakfast is not worth its price, there is no access to the beach. During our stay place was totally empty, we felt a bit uncomfortable, like in abandoned hotel.

Review 32：Almost everything was negative!! First the ride to the hotel. It is located very far outside in a very bad area. Due to traffic, it took us two hours from Cebu City to get there!! The taxi driver became more and more nervous because we had to pass very dangerous areas and had no idea if we are still at the right way. Because the Resort is so far from anything else, I felt like in prison there! Nothing to do around it. Stay in the resort, that´s it. Everything else is just too far!The next thing is, forget about the beach! There is no beach at all for use! The water is super dirty and stinks! During daytime, there is lowtide, that means the water is gone! One kilometer far away from the beach, no water, only stinking sand. You could swim maybe in the very early morning or late evening if you don´t mind the brown dirty water.The pool looks good.The life guard at the pool rather gawks at the female guests than watches over non-swimmers! At lunch time there was no guard to be seen at all. He told me that I could swim in the sea when I would walk far out for one kilometer on the resort area. But the walk wasn´t worth it! I had to fight myself through high grass and garbage, only to find out that the water out there was still too dirty to swim in it and there was no opportunity to get into the water anyway, no steps, just high rocks. So I felt fooled by this information!The restaurant staff is unfriendly and not professional at all. They forget to bring the simplest things , even when there are only three tables full of guests! They rather watch TV than the guests. They bring your things once and then are nowhere to be seen. Coffee was awful! Very cheap brand.At night, there is no light and no guard around the resort. We wanted to see the beach at 2 am, but we got really scared, it wasn´t safe to leave the bungalow!They try to keep the resort clean, but the bad area around the resort and all the garbage behind the walls can be smelled and heard!

I paid this deposit with my debit card the staff said it will be refunded upon checkout. when i checked out a different staff member said it will take 3 weeks to refund my debit card. I had to get the manager involved to get my money refunded ASAP Tons of mosquitoes in the room. i left with over 30 to 40 mosquito bites the location is horrible and in a bad area the resort looks nice in photos, but looks very old and run down in person the WiFi is horrible the beach is not a beach, do not pay for the ocean view, its not worth it, my girlfriend said she felt a cold presence when she was there, and 2 of the female staff members said to her the resort is haunted, not sure how true this is, but that's what the staff members told my girlfriend resort have not outside activities beside kayaking, u have to take a shuttle or cab to a different resort tour area to go snorkeling, jet ski, para sailing etc...

Beautiful large pool but water is so warm Money exchange rate was so low from usd to peso......for 100 usd, i got 4000p........I lost 400 p

No entertainment from singers or child entertainment. The breakfast was simple but as our 12 year old son says....the bacon was excellent and you could order your eggs. They made them for you just like you want them to be. Juices where delicious. Only the French fries where small portions.
