Reviews for Real Parque Hotel

Review 1:Toiletries inadequate and no shower robe or slippers, would expect more from 4-star hotel.

Review 2:The staff was very helpful and the room was big and nice. The breakfast was rich but the same every day. Internet very good.

Review 3:We were allocated a very large/spacious room which would have been great if there hadn't been a real issue with the terrible smell from the bathroom. It took 2 complaints before we were moved to another room which was great . We received an apology and a complimentary gateau which was a nice gesture.

Review 4:If you want a stay in a quiet location within a 5 mins taxi trip into the centre this is a good option as taxis are very reasonable also 10 mins stroll to station and/or scenic bus tours pick up point. Some restaurants nearby too.

Review 5:At the breakfast buffet / THE BLACK TEA SORTIMENT: You had 12.12.15 - 02.1.16 only the WORST kind of black tea - the yellow normal LIPTON tea bag! It's the worst tasting black tea you could possibly have! Twice i could see 1 bag of English Breakfast in the basket (plus the herb teas, of course). You have upstairs very good teas in the Café - WHY don't we get THEM for breakfast, please?

Review 6:The cleanliness and the luxury feeling in the house - friendly staff which always there!

Review 7:Rooms are a bit old and the windows not so isolated. Our room (305) had a strange vent space on the wall so the cold air was coming in our room very easy from outside. For a 4* hotel the staff could make some room improvements.

Review 8:Near Metro station Sao Sebastiao which is a real blessing after a long day of walking. Ok personnel, they gave us some hints where to go and what to visit. Good breakfast, you have a good variety where to pick from but be careful: everyday are the same options.

Review 9:The first room the hotel gave us was at the back overlooking the airconditioning system and the noise was very disturbing. We then asked for a change of room. Although it was at the front side, this time there was a noise as if the water was running the whole time. The hotel doesn't have king size beds. My husband and I had to sleep in two separate beds. We couldn't combine the two beds because there were lamps over our heads. The windows let the cold and car noise in. I think they need to be renewed.

Review 10:Breakfast was pretty good, location is not bad. Close to the metro station. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Review 11:The female receptionist at work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was unpleasan and behaved unprofessionally. Her male collegue saved the situation. The cleaner was not so pleasant either, but she has a hard and trying work, so I can understand why she is not smiling all the timer. The rest of the staff was very nice.j

Review 12:Excellent kitchen. Good food. Most of the staff was very nice.

Review 13:Room 108 is noisy. We stayed for 5 nights so the staff should have put us in a nice quiet room. Surely they are aware of this complaint from other guests.

Review 14:Breakfast was outstanding!

Review 15:The bedrooms themselves - very out dated & the beds were very hard & creaky. We couldnt turn in bed during the night without waking the other one up.

Review 16:Loved the hotel facilities, sports bar etc and reception/eating areas, staff were also very helpful. We stayed in room 1002 and had lovely views and a great balcony.

Review 17:Great hotel with great staff. The restaurant buffet was very good value and the staff in the restaurant and the bar were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is about a mile and a half from Lisbon centre but we walked it every day without a problem.

Review 18:Never told on check-in to put room card in lift, as a result, lights went out in lift and I nearly had a panic attack, fortunately someone pressed the lift to get in but check-in should tell you to use your card to activiate lift. Also hotel is a bit out of town so I wouldn't advise it for people with walking difficulites.

Review 19:The hotel is very comfortable and staff are very helpful. Its very clean and room was cleaned every day.

Review 20:Excellent hotel of a very high standard .The room itself was excellent well equipped and with a nice view of Lisbon. Breakfast was also very good of a high standard. Nice Bar with comfortable seats and recliners

Review 21:It was annoyed that an unwanted morning call woke me up at 6:40 a.m., cus I hadn't asked for morning call service. Had to turn off the room airconditioning, otherwise couldn't fall asleep.

Review 22:Location

Review 23:We lived everything about this hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect with a beautiful view of the city that we requested. The breakfast was great, very good selection and very fresh. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 24:Sports bar was very warm no air con but friendly staff.

Review 25:Superior rooms had lovely king size beds very comfortable nice hot water . Great choice of breakfast catering for all.

Review 26:Staff not that helpful with tourist info. Breakfast wasn't great - went to Starbucks round the corner. Not too many restaurants in the area to eat and Sports bar food wasn't good. Not sure about main restaurant. I would probably stay closer to center next time.

Review 27:Location was good only a couple of 100ms from metro and then 5/6 stops into city center. Only 6km from airport and close to central train station. Wifi was good

Review 28:Booked 3 months before arrival and asked for a double bed in a quiet room on an upper-level floor, but got checked in into a twin bed room on the 3rd floor (out of 10) on the street side. Wireless connection worked intermittently. Breakfast variation rather small for 4 stars.

Review 29:2 nights into our stay, hotel staff got us a room according to our preference. Hotel is less than 5 minutes away from a subway station and a big shopping center. Hotel staff was friendly and interested in our feedback during our stay. Room was clean, but could tell building and furniture were rather old.

Review 30:We stayed here last summer and were so impressed that we came back and we were not disappointed. We had a room on the top floor with amazing views. We ate both in the Restaurant and the Sports bar, both were excellent. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. We will return next summer.

Review 31:Some of the staff didn't speak english like room service. Cracks on the wall below the windows. For a 4 stars unceapptable.

Review 32:Big spacious rooms and breakfast was good.

Review 33:Very comfortable location - close to airport line of the metro, that makes this Hotel great option for travellers that would like to save money and not take taxi upon arrival to Lisboa. Good breakfast

Review 34:-staff had no knoweldge of places to go for dinner or sight seeing -no ironing facilities (because it was too much of a 'safety hazard') -a gross misrepresentation of the photo's on the website. this hotel is old and unclean. -not in a nice area, a bit far out and away from the station.

Review 35:The hotel is beautiful by all standards the location is excellent and the reception staff helpful and friendly and the breakfast is varied

Review 36:نحن زوجان من دولة الكويت We are a young couple from Kuwait

Review 37:As mentioned, needs some refurbishment.

Review 38:Clean hotel although it needs a bit of refurbishing. We had a room on 10th floor with amazing view over the city. We liked the location as it is very close to a park and metro stations that one can use if they don't fancy walking to the city center. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Review 39:The matresses are not very comfy, our room was next to the elevator and very noisy.

Review 40:Easy to get to via Metro. Next to the El Corte Ingles Shopping Store.

Review 41:A big hotel, the reception is somewhat impersonal.

Review 42:Very good location, easy access to the center of Lisbon. Clean, well furnished room. Nice breakfast.

Review 43:The matress was a bit soft.

Review 44:Nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Breakfast ok. Restaurant looked very nice but I has no time to try it out.

Review 45:The hall way was so dark with invisible room numbers. Dated furniture and stained carpets/lamp shades, overall not clean. I choose it for its good price.

Review 46:Breakfast was very basic (no Earl Grey tea, very limited selection of fresh vegetables). The WiFi was poor, kept asking to accept the end-user-license-agreement every few minutes, and was extremely slow. I also didn't like that booking.com sent me an email before check-in offering to upgrade to a room with a bathroom, while I already paid for one. Luckily I didn't upgrade and the room was as promised.

Review 47:Good location, big well equipped rooms, great value. Nice Chinese buffet across the street.

Review 48:The magnetic card of the room, which also was used to let the elevator work, didn't work properly and this during the whole stay. The rest of the stay was excellent.

Review 49:Only basic toiletries, coffee at breakfast was not actually coffee

Review 50:Big room with a terrace, large bathroom, great breakfast, ability to use PC for guests, fridge in the room

Review 51:Uncomfortable hard beds. In process of replacing mattresses apparently. Hot food could be hotter but that is not uncommon in Portugal.

Review 52:Friendly staff. Well stocked breakfast. Good location. Nearby restaurants. Large room. Good WiFi everywhere.

Review 53:Wi-fi connection was a bit annoying, which is not a real problem if you are on holidays

Review 54:close to the Sao Sebastiao metro station which makes it easy to move around the city. Excellent value for money. Amazing view from our room, I would definitely stay again if I could stay in the same room.

Review 55:It was my worst experience! It is not a 4star hotel, or even a 2star hotel. How is this open?? We had lots of problems, ridiculous problems which are not supposed to happen in a hotel, specially in a 4star hotel (the window does not close (!!), the air-conditioning makes lots of noise). I don't know what is worst: the problems in each room or the way the staff deal with the problems/clients. We had to change the room 4 times (and the last room also have problems). The staff is unprofessional, very very arrogant. I don't know how the Hotel is still open or even how it is classified as a 4star.

Review 56:The taxi guy tried to ripus of and we asked for urgent help at the reception. The guy just kept on with doing what he was doing instead of helping us out. And that was just the beginning...

Review 57:Wifi didn't work in my room, only in the lobby and not good either. Front desk staff didn't care about that until I came across one guy who helped to make it work better in the lobby. I wouldn't stay in that hotel again.

Review 58:The room was nice and location was 8 min from metro.

Review 59:the air-co worked not good in our room, wi-fi is slow and sometimes weak

Review 60:staff are very helpful and friendly, location is very good, close to public transportation, room is clean

Review 61:Staff were welcoming and helpful.Very pleasant 4* Hotel close to the metro (two stations) and the El Corte Inglés shopping centre. Close to Gulbenkian Museum, fabulous Concert Hall and the garden.Good price for a 4 stars hotel.Visited November 2014/ Besøgte stedet April 2014.

Review 62:Nothing to dislike!

Review 63:Very close walk to the Metro Breakfast was plentiful Friendly and helpful staff The view from 8th floor was spectacular Brought a birthday cake unexpectedly Great local restaurants

Review 64:This is a terrific place. The hotel was spotless and everything was well maintained. The staff was extrmeley knowledgeable. Locatin is great, close to subway line that goes to downtown or to the airport. Also a short walk to Gulbenkian Museum

Review 65:The reception staff were unfriendly and aloof. Not great characteristics for the 'face' of the hotel.

Review 66:Staff at breakfast, in the bar and helping with bags etc were very friendly and efficient.

Review 67:* Dusty smell in the corridor was the very first impression; * Room and buffet facilities are noticeably old, we expected more from 4-star hotel; * Sound insulation in the room is terrible, you can exactly hear what is happening in the next room and its toilet. * Constant noise from ventilation system (or plumbing) during the night. * Interroom door was rattling the window is open in the next room. * Breakfast was exactly the same during all days of our staying.

Review 68:Hotel is situated in between two metro stations going to airport and city center; The room and bathroom was clean.

Review 69:terrible wi-fi, 5 incorrect charges reported (water, etc). They did not charge but didn't avoid the error anyways

Review 70:Good location, nice receptionists, nice room, quiet, clean.

Review 71:I needed to use my hair dryer but there was no socket near a mirror.

Review 72:Very close to underground train station, San Sebastian. Ideal for getting around and when returning to the Airport.

Review 73:Our window faced some huge air conditioner that were noisy all the time (night included).

Review 74:The hotel is close to metro (5 minute walk). Metro ride to the airport takes 20 minutes so it's a perfect location if your flight leaves at 8 or later (trains start going around 6:30). The room was a bit old but very comfortable.

Review 75:staff very helpful, located 5 mins from Sao Sebasiao metro about 6/7 stops from airport We stayed twice, used the metro card to get around.Estoril and Cascais are worth visiting.Take the metro to cais de sodre, there is a train to cascais/estoril every 30 mins.If you take the metro to Santa Apolonia get off at Terreio do Paco take lifts to exit.this will bring you to the ministry of finance and there is a very nice riverside walk to cais de sodre with the river on your left the suspension bridge and the brazilian christ on the far side.On your right there are some fine squares and buildings. There are some really good cafes/restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We would not hesitate to stay again, but given the choice would like to stay on one of the top floors

Review 76:Quite hard mattress for those who like it more soft and comfy...

Review 77:Great location close to the metro station, clean and comfortable room and bathroom. Very good breakfast.

Review 78:The lock of the safety deposit box wasn't with a code but with a physical key.

Review 79:The staff were exceptional - helpful, responded to all our requests. There were repair works in the restaurant and our room was noisy. When we complained, they've changed our room immediately. The hotel is in a safe, residential area, very close to the metro station and El Corte Ingles shopping center. Street parking nearby is easy & safe.

Review 80:the cleaning staff could try and be more quiet, we stayed on the 7th floor and on early mornings (between 5am and 7.30am) they were slamming the other room doors so hard, we woke up to that a few times.

Review 81:good location, quiet streets but still near the metro. friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast buffet, clean rooms

Review 82:hotel did not offered breakfast cause of construction, is was not my understanding , rooms smell old and damp, walls were thin enough could here my next door neighbor sneeze , and to topped all staff in front desk all seemed over whelmed at all time , maybe they were trainees...

Review 83:location, was great , staff was friendly and seem very cooperative but not playing up the part.

Review 84:nothing not to like.

Review 85:good location,5 mins from sao sebastion metro, use red line direct from airport.stayed twice over 3 weeks.rooms were good ,staff very helpful and obliging, room 714 was better than 518 but both were good.excellent value.would definitely stay again.

Review 86:The price though wasn't so good considering the quality of the room. This hotel, in my mind, is not four-star worthy. The bed was stiff and creaky, the carpet had huge stains on it, the drapes were badly stained. The balcony was a nice feature, but the lock was non-functioning, so that the room could be entered from the outside were someone to gain access via the balconies of the adjoining rooms. The mount for the showerhead was also broken, so that it was difficult to adjust the direction of the showerhead.

Review 87:I got a surprisingly good price for a four-star hotel.

Review 88:Staff was superb! We had a room with a fabulous view. When you're going there you do must ask for a cornerroom as high as possible (1006, 906, 806 or 706). Wow! You will have a great and clear view of the city. We had the room for a bargain so we just were very lucky I think.

Review 89:Due to renovations, there was so much loud noise in the lobby area and could even be faintly heard on the 9th floor, so get the highest floor if possible, furthest away from the noise. Also, this was the reason the restaraunt in hotel was closed, they only had light snacks at their sports bar, but you could eat at a nearby sister-hotel and other places nearby...so not that terrible. Also, don't expect to check-in before the check-in time of 2pm. We drive from Spain and didn't realize time difference, so had to sit in the lobby (loud with construction noise) till about 2:20 local time.

Review 90:Nice room with a mini-fridge, very comfy bed and pillow; good breakfast with many choices for every taste; safe and cheap 9euro/day parking; ok location.

Review 91:No mini bar fridge in room, thought was weird. Didn't bother asking as I was only there for one night

Review 92:Close to train station, 2 supermarkets, staff friendly and helpful, room clean.

Review 93:The bed could be a bit more comfortable but we slept through the night anyway. Nothing major.

Review 94:We enjoyed our stay here. The room was spacious, the bathroom was really nice and clean, there was air conditioning and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner buffet looked really good but we did not have time to try it. I would definitely return. Oh the hotel is also really close to the metro station and the airport shuttle also drops you close to the hotel.

Review 95:Others have mentioned bed bugs. I can confirm this. The hotel staff claims its some sort of gnats. They need to fix this.

Review 96:reasonable location, close to Metro.

Review 97:The air condition outside - that was horrible! Absolutely big noise all the time!

Review 98:Clean room, good breakfast, nice people everywhere. A little bit far from the center, but quite good location.

Review 99:The hotel is good, although is in need of a little refurbishing. We stayed for 5 nights and the breakfast was the same every day - not very rich and rather standard. The staff was friendly for Portuguese standards (below our expectations). We had a room at the 1st floor and because of the odd window locking system, we could hear every single noise on the street.

Review 100:Positives: good location outside the (busy and noisy) historical centre and within 5 mins walking from Sao Sebastiao metro station, good nearby restaurants and a huge El Corte Ingles shopping mall next to the metro station. Good price for a 4 stars hotel.

Review 101:This Hotel and it's staff are excellent. We asked for a room on a high floor with a double bed. We got that, plus the bonus of having a balcony with amazing views over the City and down to the River Tagus. We ate in the buffet restaurant twice. Plenty of choice and the quality and the flavours of the food were excellent. The white wine was very, very drinkable. Finishing of with a really good coffee. The staff in the restaurant could not do enough for you. We also used the sports bar which had a good atmosphere, to watch the world cup. We did not eat there but all the food looked and smelt really nice. We would highly recommend this Hotel and we will use it again when we next return to Lisbon

Review 102:The breakfast was terrible, very poor quality and most items had a funny taste. The croissants were the worst i'd ever tasted. The fresh fruit were oranges cut up and put in a liquid and had no flavour and the rest of the 'fresh fruit' was actually canned. We had issues with our toilet flushing and on the first night asked for it to be fixed. The toilet was fixed...temporarily. We had to reset the cistern manually by lifting off the top of the toilet and refilling the tank. It was fixed on our thrid day. When we checked in, the staff wrote down our credit card number on a scrap of paper. We were told it was to charge us later for the mini bar and restaurant. Very odd. Especially as we did not have a mini bar in our room! We needed to use they computer in the lobby to print out a boarding pass for our flight and after 2 days trying had to bully the staff into letting us use their computers to print the pass. the staff even told us they were aware there was a problem...after we had tried for 2 days straight to do it. This hotel bills it self as a business hotel, but it doesn't have working printing capabilities? We had a late start on Sunday and were watching tv just after 10am when one of the maids barged into our room, without knocking or any warning. She then told us off for not having our do not disturb sign out! The bathroom was not clean and had several pubic hairs through out the bath and bidet. Lastly our 'safe' in our room had obviously been broken into as the 'lock' was gone and therefore useless.

Review 103:The wifi was very good and we could still access it on the 6th floor. It was close to the metro.

Review 104:Kettle would be nice to have in the room WiFi connection is quite poor

Review 105:Rich breakfasts with a lot to choose from Comfortable beds, quiet room Minibar in the room

Review 106:This hotel had literally the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept on, you can actually feel the metal frame underneath. The windows of our room were facing the inside of the building complex, which meant constant technical noise & a deserted house with broken windows as our view, despite our explicit request for a room with windows facing the street.

Review 107:BE AWARE!!! We have been travelling for 35 years and this was our first experience with BED BUGS. When we went to shower the next morning we noticed we had small red marks all over our torso area. Those red marks became small welts by the time we arrived home some 18 hours later. The next day with some investigation we are now completely aware of the bed bug problem in many Hotels. Become informed!

Review 108:Location was fine, good value for the money.

Review 109:Location in a quiet part of Lisbon but only 10mins from city centre. Very clean. Excellent food - breakfast and dinner. Courteous and professional staff.

Review 110:Very Comfortable Hotel. Nice bar and community area.

Review 111:perfect

Review 112:If the location is right for you, this hotel is an excellent choice! Rooms are very spacious and tidy. Bathrooms are great!

Review 113:The staff were very helpful

Review 114:the staff wasnt that motivated and proactive.

Review 115:the location and the efficiency. facilities were very good for the price

Review 116:no minibar; no coffe or tea in the room; very old terrible hair drayer

Review 117:Good price; close to the subway.

Review 118:Friendly staff...helpfull..good breakfast...rooms are clean...close to the metro station

Review 119:N/A

Review 120:The staff are very helpful even they only speak very little of English they try to make us welcome.

Review 121:They are very helpful and accommodating.

Review 122:bar area & bar staff

Review 123:Uncomfortable beds, located on the fringe of downtown, expensive enough in terms of comfort.

Review 124:Friendly staff, great breakfast and good housekeeping.

Review 125:Excellent welcome for honeymoon couples, nice room - just as it was on the picture.
