Reviews for Madada Mogador
Review 1:Great welcome, excellent service, staff was great! Beautiful room & property, amazing rooftop terrace. My boyfriend & I spent a relaxing 3 nights here and loved every minute of it.
Review 2:At no fault of the riad, being so close to the beach and me being a light sleeper meant the noise of the seagulls woke me up various times a night. This is due to the good location but worth considering if you are a light sleeper.
Review 3:The location was fab! Easy to walk to all areas that most would like to visit. The staff were fabulous, always around and helpful. The male staff member (sorry I forgot his name) even called a girl he knew to come and do some henna for me, going over and above what is expected. The breakfast was delicious and nothing was a problem as they helped us mov inside as wasps liked the jam as much as us and I am scared of them. And lastly, my forgetful other half left our passports in our room hidden in a safe place and on the staff finding them we were already on our way to marrakech. The staff of the riad went out their way to make contact with the bus driver and had a driver drop them off in Marrakech that evening and didn't expect any money for doing so. Its fair to say we were delighted and shocked at the same time at how they had went out their way to organise this.
Review 4:staff,decor, comfort - all wonderful! they took great care of us from start to finish! gorgeous location / in hip area - do NOT miss eating in their "Le Table" restaurant - amazing! happened upon a bluesy duo - SO GOOD
Review 5:Asked for a sandwich or similar for our onward car journey and was charged 140 Dirhams (£9.35) for two small panini with cheese in one and ham in other. We wanted to support their business but this was extortiate considering cafes nearby served them with chips for 15 Durhams each! Disappointing departure but our own fault for not asking their price before hand.
Review 6:Fabulous location, friendly staff and great room and breakfast. Loved the terrace and the feel of the place. Would highly recommend for a boutique treat.
Review 7:Friendly staff that will arrange everything for you, nothing is ever too much bother. Lovely breakfast. Hotel is in a quiet street but still very close to the everything. Their restaurant next door and cooking school is excellent.
Review 8:First and second floor property which might cause problems for the infirm.
Review 9:Friendly staff and upmarket comfortable accommodation. Good location the the old town yet quiet and very secure. Excellent restaurant next door
Review 10:Nothing to complain !
Review 11:The stuff was overall friendly and congenial. Big surprise: the hot-waterbottle in bed. Great breakfast. The location in between City and Beach is perfect. It´s paradise....
Review 12:nice extras (like the warm bottle in the bed every evening; good informations about restaurants and events; great terrasse for having breakfast and more; sensationell view....
Review 13:Some people might be bothered by "hum" created by an electric device (most probably at the top floor). In that case, do not take the room on the top floor, stay at the floor below. What you get there is even better room (higher to ceiling, more space) but you miss the possibility of enjoying the sunset just outside your window.
Review 14:Friendly and welcoming in all possible ways. Excellent recommendations on where to eat, buy music, massage for tired feets and what to see. We stayed on the top floor, with direct access to the terasse, great for the view and solitude. Love it.
Review 15:The staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location, fabulous room, tasty breakfast and a wonderful restaurant. We had a magical time at the Madada Mogador!
Review 16:We were a little disappointed that the beautiful view from the terrace was only visible when standing as there is a wall rather than railings/glass as a balcony.
Review 17:The location is great and the staff outstanding, they couldn't do enough for us. This really is a super little hotel.
Review 18:The Riad and room were exactly as advertised. The staff was always helpful and made us feel at home. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it.
Review 19:room a bit noisy (window not enough good to stop the noises from the street)
Review 20:The terrace and the position of the hotel
Review 21:Reception staff were not particularly helpful when our 12 year old got ill and was bed bound for a day.
Review 22:The very friendly and helpful staff .. the position of the riad and the Mogador suite.
Review 23:The roof terrace was amazing, staff lovely, breakfasts yummy.
Review 24:We liked the hotel and location very much. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Breakfast was very good and fresh!
Review 25:Nothing. We could not fault the hotel in any way.
Review 26:The room, the helpful and friendly staff who could not do enough for us, and the location.
Review 27:We loved the views of the beach and the great location close to everything. Breakfast was great too.
Review 28:The staff were very friendly and the location was ideal for the medina, old town and the beach.
Review 29:The staff and management were so friendly and the breakfast on the terrace was beautiful, really enjoyed
Review 30:The location, the restaurant, the big bathtub, the terrace, the breakfast (poached eggs are a nice touch) ...
Review 31:Could be noisy at times in our room.
Review 32:The location is superb and the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Rooms clean and lovely facilities.
Review 33:Breakfast on the terrace, beautiful view In room bathtub Hot water bottle in bed every night Kindness of the stuff
Review 34:Location was perfect and staff were very helpful. Wonderful.
Review 35:If beds could have been spilt up in two separate beds, it would have been perfect.
Review 36:Terrace was not as advertised- tatty furniture and not as clean as expected. Rooms were tired and needed a lick of paint.
Review 37:Nothing
Review 38:Views of the beach Lovely staff Beautiful rooms Great location
Review 39:Noisy seagulls on my terrace
Review 40:Huge bath Free upgrade Beautiful terrace
Review 41:The terrace is Great and the Staff was very friendly
Review 42:A really lovely Riad! Staff are really friendly and helpful and made our stay as comfortable as possible even offering a free room upgrade. The Riad is in a great location and really easy to get to. Highly recommended! Thank you!
Review 43:We stayed in a seaview room and there was a storm while we were there. The doors to our room were not waterproof and we ended up with rather alarge puddle in our room. Luckily we noticed before the puddle found itsway to one of our suitcases. This was helped by closing the stormshutters but this blocked all natural light to our room.
Review 44:The location was excellent, the staff and particularly the owner werevery helpful, with recommendations for restaurants, spa bookings andeven driving directions. Complementary lemonade and pastries in theafternoon was a nice touch. The food at the downstairs restaurant wasalso excellent (although not cheap).
Review 45:No sun loungers on the terrace, comfy stylish seats though so it is a minor point!
Review 46:Excellent staff, fab rooms, would stay here again and again. Very cool.
Review 47:Lack of TV (hubby not me!)
Review 48:Staff could not have been more helpful. Room lovely, we had balcony overlooking the sea on which we had our breakfast every day. Beautiful roof terrace for drinks after a day out.
Review 49:We asked for a sea view room but realised it was a room adjacent to thecommunal balcony which has a sea view meaning that we could not open thewindows during the day as other guests were constantly passing by andcould peer into the room. It also meant that we were woken up by gueststaking their breakfasts and didn't feel verycomfortable/private. The main manager was courteous when we firstarrived but later when checking out we asked for help in booking privatetransport and found it too expensive so decided to make our ownarrangements. When the driver we had booked for a lot less showed up,she appeared really offended and we were not offered any assistance tocarry our luggage down the stairs wich ended up doing ourselves with ourdriver while she continued ignoring us and starring at her computerscreen. I have never seen anything so childish and would therefore neveragain stay in this otherwise expensive riad - better to do stayelsewhere and book the cooking school separately!
Review 50:The riad is beautifully decorated and the location very convenient. Wereally enjoyed the cooking school which is just next door in theirbeautiful affiliated restaurant - we made amazing food and even had anescorted tour of the spice market with lots of useful tips. Woulddefinitely recommend the cooking school to anyone who enjoys Moroccanfood as it was a little bit pricey but well worth the money.
Review 51:A bit worn out. I would recomend washable covers for chairs and sofa and a washable plastic bin for the bathroom.
Review 52:Nice, bright and spacious room. Nice, friendly and helpful staff and owner Good breakfast Excellent view
Review 53:There is no parking with the hotel. You will end up in the hands of the local parking maffia, who will charge you the outrages amount of 4 € per night! Hotel should establishsoem sort of arrangement.
Review 54:Breakfast on the terrace & dinner at La Table!
Review 55:That the warm water only last for a few centimeeters in the big bathtub on a damp cold winter day of Essaouira
Review 56:The service is impeccable. They greet you with respect and care from the moment you arrive and they take care of you every day. The restaurant has the same level of service and kindness. I felt home here very quickly thanks to the staff. I tried their cooking class today and now I know how authentic maroccan food tasts like when taking the time needed and the correct spices. Wounderful and heart warming...just like maroccans can be
Review 57:Nothing!
Review 58:Upgraded to suite on arrival, free. Very nice to have private balcony eg for breakfast Staff very helpful; cumin tea preparation stabilised a stomach upset! Arranged very comfortable and reasonably priced car direct to Marrakech airport
Review 59:Unfortunately, work on the ramparts created a lot of dust (not the riad's fault). Also, two smelly city bins were just under our balcony. Riad just lacked the finishing touches to make it truly "chic" (cigarette buts between balcony and ramparts, unmounted shower head, etc). 24 hr parking is close to 4 euros, as opposed to 2 euros quoted by riad.
Review 60:The location was excellent - close to sights, shopping, dining, parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the balcony was great. Room was clean.
Review 61:The hotel is quite tired - needs to have some maintenance done Not as impressive or luxurious as photos on web site suggest - average rooms and no atmosphere Service was patchy Overall quite expensive for at best an average experience
Review 62:Location just on edge of Mwdina law to restaraunts and beach Restaraunt - La Table downstairs is excellent
Review 63:Wifi signal did not reach terrace rooms.
Review 64:The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and their recommendations were excellent. The sun terrace was a fantastic place to start the day and to watch the sun set over the ocean. Merci beaucoup!
Review 65:The location in the medina with sea views is perfect. The terrace is gorgeous for sitting and reading. staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the madada room with the private terrace which was lovely for having breakfast on and the large bath was luxury .
Review 66:the shower in the bath created a significant flood, just a little bit rickety re window fittings but not significant
Review 67:the view of the sea from the room, the roof terrace, breakfast, the very helpful staff, books, close to center but easy to access from taxi, cheery cats lying in sungood value
Review 68:Great location just inside the medina and close to beach access. Nice rooftop terrace with views.
Review 69:Location Friendly staff Comfortable ambience
Review 70:The staff was outstanding and the rooms spacious and full of character. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience there.
