Review 1：Resort not near local shops, amenities, comparatively expensive food and drink prices. Crowded dining room conditions at breakfast time.

Review 3：Logistics. Reservations for shuttlebus to SM has to be done 30 minutes before departure. If you try to book 43 minutes before, they tell you to come back in 13 minutes. When you travel with an infant, its to hard to run back and forth for just 13 minutes! We booked transport for airport through the concierge. When we show up, transport is not there. And we wait for 20 minutes to get a new car. An unacceptable happening for a five stat hotell.

Review 19：Best experience dealing with the staff in my whole stay in the Philippines! We were traveling in the most stressful circumstances as our flights were cancelled due to the APEC Summit. The staff were very helpful in accommodating us that it made all our issues go away. They are very responsive when you have questions and requests. Customer relations and services truly rivals the resorts and hotels abroad. We have not encountered even one sad face from the staff or the guests. If you can, definitely upgrade your room to a villa. The private pool and the size of the room is truly worth the $$! I will definitely recommend this resort to my friends and family.

Review 34：The wifi in my room was very weak. The hotel/resort is a long way from any shops, alternative restaurants (though those in the resort are good) and the centre of Cebu City. So you would really come here to get away from it all and stay within the resort.

This is a fairly common complaint on Mactan Island. Mostquitoes which seemed more prevalent than in other parts of the island where I have stayed.

I particularly liked the setting of the Azure Bar, on the beach.I was wary when I heard that there was a "DJ" but for the most part the music was atmospheric - and only once did I have to complain that the volume had been cranked up to the point where we had to shout to be heard. Review 52：When I arrived in the hotel, I was expecting they would take my car to the valet parking since i made parking reservation, however it was not but rather telling me to park my car to the guest parking space, an open field parking w/c located with a bit distance from the hotel entrance & no umbrella being provided since it was too sunny. The Staff were not helping me to carry my things but rather watching me just saying good afternoon; not even saying welcome to the hotel. They didn't give us welcome drink even. They're letting us to wait 2 hours. I arrived 12:35 pm but the room was ready at 2:35 p.m. w/c is very disappointing. Their std chk out is 11:00 a.m and how come by 1:00-2:00 the room were not ready. Though their standard ck in time 3:00 pm. but if they provide good service & accommodation to the guest, they should not letting us to wait that longer. I requested complimentary water and it took more than 30 min. for them to deliver to our room. Their pool water is very hot; even its 9:00 a,m Complimentary coffee and cream has small content and seems like limited; Wifi very slow.

Review 80：If you have children it is a good place. But if you are looking for a relaxing place as an adult I wouldn't recommend it. The beach is much quieter but then you have smokers down there. The other problem is finding somewhere to sit either by the pool or by the beach. It seems that everyone gets up very early and puts their towel on a chair and returns hours later.

The resort staff's signature special greeting warmed our hearts, and the little touches such cold drinks and iced towels upon arrival from town were much appreciated. The resort and facilities were all fabulous and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice to stay here. But the "icing on the cake" was the fabulous service we received from the staff there. Phillip, the Head Concierge, deserves special recognition for going the extra mile in our behalf. When we asked him to direct us to a market or store where we might purchase a mask for my husband's collection, he didn't have a suggestion but told us he would reply the following day. When we returned from a morning outing, we were surprised to find a costume mask on our desk with a note from him explaining that he had contacted an acquaintance who designed masks for the recent Sinulog Festival and asked that one be designed for us! He did this free of charge and as a total surprise to us! Thank you Phillip! The housekeeping staff also deserves recognition for their integrity. We left early one morning for a tour and returned to find our room had not been made up. There was a note from housekeeping explaining that when they opened our room, they noticed that some valuables had been left unsecured in the room so they promptly left, but would return at our convenience. We noticed that in our early morning rush, we had neglected to lock the safe where several valuables had been placed. Of course, nothing was missing and upon our request, they returned to clean our room. Such integrity is a precious and rare find these days! And one day, they added a little joy to our stay by incorporating the mask into a creative towel sculpture on our bed - spotlights and all!

Review 106：This is the second time me and my team stayed at crimson resort, the first time was a blast but this time was utter disappointing. The beach villa's looking 10 years older then 8 months ago during the first visit. The kitchen in the restaurant is really bad and worst thing, a lot of options on the menu are not on stock. Another irritating fact is that Crimson should mention that there's a big construction going on behind the villa's. You don't have to set your alarm, the construction workers and their big machines will wake you up around 6AM. Last thing, way over priced. At least 30%. Crimson, 5 star resort should be 3 stars!

They always went out of their way to make our stay a very pleasant one. A special shout out to Terry whose service on our Island Hopper tour was incredible, thank you for making our pillows on the boat for our sunbaking sessions. And your help with organising our whale shark diving afterwards. And also Grace and Mario for the great chats and service at dinner time. We enjoyed the happy, endless supply of prawn chips and choice of cocktails every night. The buffet food was always scrumptious, we could barely walk anywhere afterwards because our stomachs were so full! To all the staff at Crimson, thanks again for our enjoyable stay! Our for the surprise birthday cake for Chantale. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Review 112：Struggling to find something I didn't like. Perhaps the spa prices where a tad high for philipine standards. But the service is first class so easy to forget the cost.

Review 116：I stayed in their Garden Deluxe Room, no grand luxourious furniture in the room; just basic, but if you would be out whole day for outdoor activities; it's good enough. The bathroom was too big for me; almost half of the room size. Unlucky that a pair of western couple living next to me had a big fight in midnight which lasted for an hour; it ruined my beauty sleep!

Review 117：Staff at Crimson was extremely friendly and helpful; and they responded quickly to your request. They remembered your name and made you feel like at home. Spa was value for money; less than PHP4200 (including ++, which was less than HKD800), you could enjoy a 2-hour professional spa & massage. Their Azure Beach Bar & Restaurant was my favorite; especially the sofa seats in open area next to the cozy beach. Their infinity pool was nice too; you could spend the whole morning/afternoon there.

Review 123：For staying at the hotel itself, we have no complaints but when we left for the pier go to Bohal, the staff told us that the ferry would leave at 12:30 and that we would have to leave at about 11:30 to get there by taxi. We rushed there making it by 12:20 only to find that there wasn't a ferry until 2pm and that perhaps the 12:30 ferry was at the other pier... but no time to find another taxi and go there! We wasted a lot of time sitting at a not overly enjoyable pier when we could have stayed at Crimson a little longer. The staff never told us to watch out for the fact that there was more than one pier and while they helped us get the taxi they didn't help us tell the driver which pier.

Review 124：We really loved staying at Crimson Beach and wished we could have stayed longer. They had very friendly staff, the restaurants all had excellent dishes, the pool was lovely and of course there is the beach. The rooms are like little vllas, quiet and perfect for a nice sleep. They also leave a list of the resort's activities for the day early every morning in a nicely decorated way.

Pool and beach areas are both good and there is a large area of cordoned-off sea for swimming and snorkelling. Review 131：The kids club was amazing! Kids were busy with sporty and creative activities. They loved to go there! A big thanks to the kids club team. Well equipped gym. Great pools. Very warm and friendly atmosphere among the staff.

Review 132：Reluctant to call metered taxi for us, always trying to sell hotel transport to us which costs way more than metered taxi. Nothing much to do outside the hotel on mactan island.

Review 133：The resort is away from everything, very secluded with own private beach. The buffet spread. The spaciousness of the bathroom. Provided free bread for feeding fish at beach.

Review 134：This is my first stay at Crimson, because of a telecom conference event at another hotel nearby. The staff here is very helpful and friendly, and the security is good. The pool is beautifully designed, and the villa type design of the rooms made us feel a very relaxing resort stay. The bathroom is spacious. What a pity we didn't manage to join any of the program e.g. yoga etc. May be next time.

Review 135：The ala carte menu of both restaurants were expensive. I think its suitable (the prices) for foreigners than for the locals.

Review 136：The place was jaw-dropping, i bet it was even more amazing if the azure bar would be fixed, the staffs were great, always greeting, smiling and helpful. Breakfast was sumptuous, with almost everything in there.

Review 137：The property at the Crimson is very beautiful, and I cannot speak more highly of the staff- they are amazing! Every member of the staff was so warm and friendly (even the construction staff!). The only complaint I had was that the one beach bar was under renovation, with very small noise, but it in no way interfered with our trip, as they had another beach bar nearby. Lovely, big rooms and the food was nice as well. Definitely recommend this hotel!!
