Review 3：Beds were not very comfortable (an issue for us), TV didn't work (was no issue for us) Air-conditioning stuck in one position ( an issue for us), no phone in room (no issue for us). There is an older part where our room was, the kids were in the newer part and had a nicer room. You have to purchase from the bar to use the seating and "beach"chairs outside.
Review 4：Location location location! Very nice staff. Snorkel right out of hotel and a dock for dive boats (my husband did 2 -2 tank dives) Easy walk into downtown, $3 cab ride back. Great for divers or families with older kids (no elevator) Supermarket across the street with ATM and great exchange rate for purchases. Great ocean view from the rooms.

Review 8：The rooms look very worn, no safe box in room, biggest issue is the fact that they have leased the pool area to a bar on the property, guests can only eat their own food in one small corner of the beach area, and the bar is very noisy during the day with cruise ship crews.

Review 10：Bugs in rooms. The entire description of the facility is purposefully misleading. There are no available lounge chairs unless you are seating at the bar and ordering alcohol. It is a very run down place. Simply horrible place.

Review 22：Walking up four fights of stairs with dive gear every day was inconvenient. The day we arrived the water in the shower was scalding which made showering impossible. The rest of the week it evened out but there was never enough water pressure which made showering unenjoyable.

Review 30：the beds are very, hard and the music down stairs at the bar was, way, way, way to loud, I ask if they would turn it down and they turned it up. the tile was all cracked around the back, they are letting it run down. There were offensive words written all over the bar, I can see a big decline in the bar and the people that work there. You need better mattress, they are hard as a rock, I stayed that for the last twenty years, I might move on

Review 32：The bed, the bedding, the shower, no hot water, only 2 bath towels, old T.V. old and rickety furniture, dangerous step into the bathroom, door to the balcony would not lock, the AC didn't work well in the afternoon with the West sun, bugs and dirt on the floor, poor lighting. I didn't like anything about the inside of the hotel room, it was horrible.

Property is situated perfectly downtown, but no owner/management interest at all!
Review 40：The proximity to the ocean, the marina and the downtown. The gals at the no name bar are great, the food at the bar was great. Maybe the bar owner (not the same as the bhotel owner, should take over the entire property).
Review 41：The beds, furniture, fixtures & plumbing are pretty dated. But everything is very clean and functional. If you're a diver you expect to rough it a bit. This by no means "roughing" it. But it is not a luxury experience. Definitely not for families with non-divers. But GREAT for groups of divers or solo divers. Who spend their days diving, eating and sleeping.
Review 42：This is a very clean hotel. Smack in the middle of town and ON THE WATER. Access to your dive boat is steps away. Access to the ocean is just a leap off the pier directly behind the hotel! There are restaurants on either side and a terrific "Super Target" like shopping plaza directly across the street. With foods and goods and brands you recognize. The hotel has a pool, bar, "Sandy" beach area, restaurant and dive shop. There is nothing fancy about The Barracuda but it is functional, clean and comfortable enough. With great air conditioning. Excellent value for a solo or group diver. And cruise ships pass your balcony every morning and afternoon, except Sunday! Excellent sunset view as you face directly west.

Review 69：Rooms are very dirty and dark, it's like sleeping with ants and cockroaches. There is a party bar close to the hotel, so that sleeping before 2am isn't possible. The price (90$US low season) for 1 night is way to high for this hotel. I would definitely stay far away from that hotel

Review 73：Rooms definitely need updating. The sewer overflowing was not nice but they cleaned it up pretty quickly by washing it down the steps into the water. I didn't go near the steps again. The sheets were gross. Couldn't tell if it was a stain or just not washed. They need to invest in new sheets. While swimming, if you got too close to the edge of the pool it smelled like rotten food or sour milk. Parking the rental car was a bit of a hassle but it worked okay.
Review 74：Location on water was great. Convienent to have grocery store across the street. Nice to have dive boat pick you up at Barracuda. Food was good at No Name Bar. Air conditioning worked great. Having a fan was nice, too.
Review 75：the rooms are worn, the staff indifferent, no safeboxes in room and they charge you everytime you go to check or recheck a packet at the desk, the pool is rented out to a noisy bar and there are conflicts between the bar owner and hotel about who can sit where, at checkout was sternly reminded to leave tips for the staff, I booked an ocean room but was forced to spend my first two nights in a room facing the street, first because they were full and second because they did not want to move my bags and I was out diving.

Review 83：I think the hotel just needs a little care and attention to details in particular new bedding as very dated, sometime big stains and the blankets ripped. Aircon units made the loudest noise ever but this didn't stop is falling asleep after a busy day exploring Cozumel.
Review 84：The location was great only a few mins walk from centre of San Miguel so easy access to the towns attractions but not right in the centre. Staff friendly although constantly reminding you they want tips (like most of Mexico). Impressed with the free beach towel service and bar staff by the pool. Value for money a great option as also have fridge and aircon in room. Balcony view was amazing!
