Review 4：The location is perfect to reach, to walk into town and to the beach (both 5mins). The room was spacious and comfortable with a view to the sea. We were made welcome and got lots of good advice. We will come back!

Review 9：Booking.com information is inaccurate. We booked because we need anoutside space and it was advertised as such. Room 7 has no space, theowner took this up with booking.com who then contacted me to thank mefor contacting them and to tell me that it was the owner's fault!

Review 16：This accommodation is above the primary concern of the building which is a restaurant. There was noise from the kitchen and restaurant at night. Pillows needed updating, maintenance issues with the locks and often no wifi in the rooms. There is no air conditioning, mosquitoes can be a problem at night if windows are open.

We likely should have eaten all dinners there but it is a short walk to the seaside and the other restaurants in the town were also good.

Review 28：Pleasant owners who gave me a very nice room and were very helpful with advise. The staff is great and polite, too, of course. Their house is spacious, clean, very neat, in a relaxed area of town (you might need to walk 15 minutes downhill or take you car, but it is totally worth it as you are "above everything" on that small hill). The pool looked great and was already accessible in mid march!!! I can highly recommend this place and will come back.
Review 29：Nothing to dislike. There was some external noise from a large group dining in the restaurant downstairs but as it was during the Christmas & New Year period this was more charming than annoying.
Review 30：This was once the home of a Swiss family that has been converted into a charming hotel. The name Dos Suecos means Two Swiss in case you were wondering! When we arrived, the family who owns the hotel had only just arrived back from their own vacation so there was some small confusion with switching on the hot water and finding our booking. These weren't real problems though and only added to the home-like feeling of the hotel. Our room was huge, with a large studio-like area opening onto a private balcony with an ocean view and there was an additional small room that doubled as a kind of lounge room (with its own TV) and a very comfortable sofa bed. The beach is a short walk away and the historic old town can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes, or 2 minutes drive. The beds were extremely comfortable and the main bed was huge, with good quality sheets and bedding.

Review 45：Lovely large room with balcony & distant sea view. The owners were so friendly & helpful. The food in restaurant was delicious& one of the best steaks on our 6 weeks of travelling. Nothing was too much trouble for them & my Gluten free diet was well catered for!
Review 46：Despite the description claiming that 'all rooms have balconies' we were shown to a room at the back of reception with no balcony and a view overlooking the driveway and road. The owner claimed it was the fault of booking.com! He then came up with a solution that meant we would have 3 different rooms for our one week stay. In consultation with booking.com we moved out after two nights and found our own accommodation. All very disappointing and a bad start to our weeks relaxation. We did try the restaurant our first night, but had to wait 15 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, and 55 minutes for food, so didn't eat there the second night. We were surprised that the swimming pool area didn't have umbrellas, nor cushions to the chairs or 3 sunloungers. It is obvious that the main business of this property is the restaurant, the accommodation side is a poor second; to quote the owner 'a room is a room'!

Loved the little nature reserve on the beach. If you stay here please have a meal in the restaurant, we were treated like royalty and the meal was fabulous. We very much recommend this hotel.
Review 99：Our room was over the kitchen so was noisy at meal times. But they moved us when requested. Keep in mind the Portuguese restaurant custom of bringing things to the table you have not ordered. If you eat them you pay. Not a lot. But its uniquely Portuguese.
