Reviews for Coral Princess Golf & Dive Resort
Review 1:There should be some music at lobby and pool area... The hotel was very quiet and felt kind of "sad". Asked front desk for an aspirin late at night, and they didn't have anything (I think that a small and basic kit would be good).
Review 2:Great staff and view from my room.
Review 3:The whole place is just a little rundown. The outside of the hotel needs a good washing. They always seemed to be understaffed at the bar/restaurant. It was a little chaotic & took forever... And the food was truly awful: Shockingly bad. The space of the beach/pool area is very small to accommodate all the guests at the hotel without feeling very crowded. It Is not a very relaxing environment despite the crystal clear waters. Might be a decent /cheap place for families with kids... (But I'm not one of them). Please note- this is not a true beach. To go into the ocean- you need to climb down stairs or jump off the pier.
Review 4:It is close to town, so that is convenient.
Review 5:We booked an oceanfront room. During our first night, the music outside was so loud that it woke me up (I am a very good sleeper) around 1 am. When we complained the front desk said there is nothing they can do as it is not on their property. Very poor handling of the issue. No possibility to change to a more quiet room, no attempt to go and talk to the property being loud, no voucher or something offered. Fortunately, the music went off around 2 am so we could finally get some sleep. There are a tons of "yes but" in this hotel. Yes, we have room service but there is an additional charge if you want it. Yes, you have a phone in your room but we blocked local calls, you need to go to the front desk and pay for it. Yes, our restaurant is open at 7 am, but the kitchen only opens at 7.30 so your own bad if you have to be somewhere in time (same applies for dinner). Yes we have a dive shop renting gear but better order everything the day before else it might not be available. Yes we have a hot tub but its only open during weekends, in the evening, and by the way, its 20 USD per person if you want to use it... the "Dive Resort" in the name stands for an integrated dive shop (order tanks etc always in advance), two small racks to dry equipment and some sinks to rinse equipment. For serious diving, Scuba Club Cozumel is much better.
Review 6:good location, helpful waiters and staff in general. Ok food in restaurant, good happy hour (2 drinks for 1, but its 2 times the same drink).
Review 7:A bit too far out of the city. You have to take a (short and affordable) taxi.
Review 8:Beautiful pool at the sea. Dive in the water and you'll swim between tropical fish, amazing! Very friendly staff and good breakfast.
Review 9:Our room was not available untill 3 pm substandered room for the priceeven after I paid extra for the upgrade. I was up sick all night , hadpaid to go diving the next morning and could not . they would not refundmy money , I could not dive again as I was leaving that day . badservice avoid
Review 10:The view
Review 11:Don't stay in room 315! it was the first room they gave us and there is a terrible noise from the water pipe in the corridor. First they said that it is common and they don't see any reason to give us another room and only after we insisted and were more assertive they convinced and changed our room. The whole process took about an hour. It is a 30-40 min walk to downtown or a 60 pesos taxi. Also, the dive shop is pretty pricey, we found much better prices and with high quality down town.
Review 12:The pool area and the beach are the highlight of this hotel. Dining room staff were very helpful and pleasant. I asked for some special requests regarding my breakfast and they really listened and considered it.
Review 13:Missing internet in the rooms, not a big deal but nice to keep in touch with work and family.
Review 14:Small very friendly environment. Scuba shop on premises as well as diving right off the shore. Decent restaurant. Close to town but not right in town.
Review 15:Great snorkeling near by. Deluxe room is the size of a thimble! Can't even open closet all the way w/out hitting the bed. Furniture getting shabby. Great staff! OK food.
Review 16:Booked a king bed didn't get that ,requested a king never heard back from front desk. We were told none were available, but there were no quests at hotel. Very unhappy as I have stay ed d there numerous times before.
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:A little far from the center (but it's worth it). Rooms a little old. Check you prices, we counted on a discount we deserve and our friend received when they came, but they charged us more for booking earlier.
Review 19:At great location for sea activities, just by the pool lots of stuff to see under water. Breakfast was very nice.
Review 20:Very friendly staff, good location, very quiet, 5 minutes by taxi to the City center. good location, very quiet, 5 minutes by taxi to the center
Review 21:None
Review 22:Everyone at the Resort was very friendly and would help with anything that we needed. We had the best time sitting around the pool or in the pool and enjoying the 2 for 1 happy hour.
Review 23:Breakfast at times could be a lengthy process and the inclusive breakfast is very limited. Other times it was fast and great. When it went bad (as in we did not ever receive it!) they made up for it by buying us lunch later. That was fine for us, mistakes happen and they made it right.
Review 24:Loved the location. Only a 5.00 taxi into town and the snorkeling was beautiful. Pedro and the staff were friendly and helpful. William at breakfast was very nice also and tried hard.
Review 25:no wifi in rooms or even close to the lobby. was a pain always having to go inside and even then it was hit or miss.
Review 26:big king size bed, beach and reef, outdoor dining
Review 27:No wi-fi in the room. Very poor breakfast "a la carte" - no options and you have to choose between juice or fuit. You could not have both! Slow service in the restaurant, reception and on the rent service. We try to rent a scotter several times and there was nobody there.
Review 28:Swimming Pool.` Location ( close to reefs with beautiful sea life). Snorkeling. Good beds. Good value for money.
Review 29:1. No wifi in the room. You need to go down to lobby common area to get wifi and it's kind of funny to see people gathered around the area intensely staring at their smartphone in the evening. And of course, it is pretty inconvenient, especially considering that it is not one of those cheap "hotels" in the area. 2. It's location is really far from the central. It is definitely not a walking distance, and it's even far for bicycling. If you want to enjoy central place with walking, this place is not for you. It would be more inconvenient if you are not using all-inclusive package and want to enjoy local meals since the closest restaurant is... well.. you need a vehicle. But I would also say that most of the decent hotels (except two or three closest to the central) in the area are really far from the central, so this distance issue is not exclusive to this hotel. Also, vehicle rental of all sorts are really active in the area, so you can rent something to deal with this problem (but I do not recommend scooter unless you are experienced with one). 3. Hotels on the northwest side of Cozumel do not have sandy beach which you can enjoy waves; the coast is rocky (I personally didn't care because I like snorkeling more). The hotel, however, does have sandy platform with sunbeds next to a pool.
Review 30:1. Kind staff members. Yes, accommodation industry staffs in Mexico are usually kind, but staffs in this place was exceptional (well, especially to women). 2. You can just jump into snorkeling point which is right next to the hotel. There are better spots around the island, but considering that you need some sorts of tour packages or a method of transportation to get to those points, this is decent and convenient point. 3. Good value for reasonable price. Considering it's quality, it's price was pretty good. Overall, great place to stay. Would recommend to friends and families.
Review 31:Need to be aware that opening door w no screens for fresh air have to be closed before mosquito time of day. 40 Mosquitos in room as you go to sleep is alarming! The rooms are quite small and have some furniture that should be down sized so that you can open closets. The large furniture pcs for storage are important and necessary. However the one between beds can be smaller. Wifi is abismal
Review 32:The staff are the nicest people in MX! Of course most people in MX are personable, sweet, kind and good natured - so to say this is really saying something! The view from our room was fabulous and poolside service a true luxury!
Review 33:The complimentry breakfast was poor and if you don't tip the waiters at each breakfast you'll get a nasty feeling from them. wifi is very weakkk in the rooms.
Review 34:Nice hotel, great view to the ocean.
Review 35:Amazing location right on the water and an easy 60 peso taxi to the main town nearby.
Review 36:Roof top hot tu not open no internet or very poor was told in booking beakfast include not the case buffet was extra
Review 37:They charge me for daughter breakfast it should have been included
Review 38:The pool the view the beach excellent
Review 39:Good hotel in general but let down by the majority of restaurant and bar staff who appeared untrained and only concerned with tips
Review 40:The pool
Review 41:Different extra charges.a bit far from town so need a taxi every time. No WiFi in the room.
Review 42:Great pool, great breakfast, staff very nice.
Review 43:Staff was great, location is ok, property is ok+
Review 44:Ordered shrimp and chicken for BBQ dinner and got only one piece of shrimp for my significantly higher price
Review 45:Great dive shop on site
Review 46:Enjoyed it all !
Review 47:The staff, clean, view, pool and of course the sunshine.
Review 48:The restaurant was not as good as it was 6 months ago but not terrible
Review 49:Staff and cleanliness was excellent .
Review 50:clean room, friendly staff, beautiful ocean view.
Review 51:The pool and area are very nice. The staff were attentive and pleasant. The rooms were clean. Snorkelling just meters from the shore.
Review 52:We had a great time and the staff treated us extremely well. The hotel is clean and in a great location. Snorkeling right at the hotel is awesome also. Great job Leandro and the waitstaff for making us feel so welcome! This was our second trip and we will be back!
Review 53:The swim up bar and spa closed.the scuba shop staff not friedly
Review 54:The air condition was great, the bar staff very friendly and accomodating.the staff handle rude Americans well.
Review 55:Breakfast was boring and the lobby bar closes at 10:30
Review 56:The Snorkelling is fantastic! We've stayed there several times and love it! The beds are so comfortable which is a huge plus also. It is away from the cruise ships, so your view is of the open ocean, not a big ugly cruise ship! The food is not very good, but that's ok because we like to sample all the meal options on the island.
Review 57:The frontdesk guy was not ment to serve, was not helpful. The breakfast was not a buffe thing that make it too small with no able to do something with it without paying extra money.
Review 58:The stuff member Pedro was really nice and helpful, the breakfast was delicious the coral is preaty.
Review 59:It was awful to use bracelet during to stay just because of breakfast (include in our room price).
Review 60:Good bed. Lovely sunbathing area with easy access to sea.
Review 61:the wifi, the cheap rooms the breakfest costs money and the food is horrible!!!! there is no selection and the breakfest is sooo poor and the waiters only wants tips and then they tell u to pay 12 dollars on that meal!!
Review 62:the view, the beach is amazing
Review 63:We didn't like how they managed the check account. Upon check-out, we "requested" the copies of the meals receipts to check if they matched with final result because the reception provides only a note with the launch of the debits. There is no way to check the account of meals and beverages. They throw the debits of the restaurant without providing a copy of the host orders, which we had to sign every time we had a meal in the hotel restaurant or bar. He said he could send our copies "request" via e-mail later, not at the moment of the check out - of course, after we pay the bill. That means, we had to pay to receive the receipts. We didn't like this procedure at all.
Review 64:My family liked the reefs. It's a beautiful place.
Review 65:The staff were very friendly and eager to help. I stayed here while competing in the ironman and cannot fault the hotel for it's efforts to accommodate the additional needs when taking part in such an event.
Review 66:Rental car service was below any expectations. I rented a car and it was in extreme poor safety conditions. I returned without even attempting to driving it.
Review 67:Staff was kind
Review 68:My brother and I loved that we were never approached to buy into the timeshare. We didn't even know it was a timeshare until we spoke with other guest. Loved snorkeling, iguanas, pools and wonderful staff.
Review 69:This not a five star hotel. On the day we arrived had problems with air conditioner in the room it was solved but happened again and got our clothes wet. Did not like it. Had better expectations. Poor breakfast, food is not good. Do not recommend!
Review 70:Nice staff
Review 71:internet access was not working in the rooms
Review 72:location,not to big like some other hotels. food at the restaurant was really good. the view from the rooms was superb. staff was friendly and helpful
Review 73:Limited activities, except scuba and gym. No PC with internet access for guests. OK food (good breakfasts, but food a la carte below average).
Review 74:Very nice location by a small reef. Not busy at all. Friendly staff. Large and clean room. Reasonable prices.
Review 75:WiFi was limited to certain parts of the building. They are working onit and are aware of the issue, but it was a pain in the butt.
Review 76:Staff are topshelf, helpful, friendly. Great location, re:view, snorkelling, quiet, and clean like an operating room.
Review 77:The breakfast included in room price left a little to be desired. If you don't go for the pay extra breakfast menu then you just get eggs / luke warm hash browns / small selection of breads and EITHER juice or fruit plate. Juice was not fresh squeezed. This was only down side to this hotel, everything else was just perfect and we will definitely return.
Review 78:Excellent Dive Shop - Pepe Scuba shop right on site at the hotel. Get up in the morning and get straight in the dive boat right in front of the hotel, excellent. Dive Masters were friendly and knowledgeable. Dive boat VERY fast so gets you there before all the others, and not packed with a lot of people - only small groups of divers at a time. Beautiful location right on the water's edge, really good for swimming and a stone bottom means very clear so nice for swimming and snorkeling. Lovely sunsets over the water every evening and very nice cocktails and snacks / food from the beach bar. Everything we wanted and more!
Review 79:Great breakfas

Review 85:The staff. Excellent.
Review 86:Being able to snorkel directly from the property
Review 87:The staff and the location close to town
Review 88:Ocean view, snorkeling in front of the hotel, scuba dive.
Review 89:Doesn't have beach as it is on the reef side
Review 90:Good value for the money, good location, nice staff
