Reviews for Hotel Admiral

Review 1:Summary: I have never been made to feel so unwelcome in a hotel, anywhere in the world, at the hands of a one individual, viz., the owner, who treated us and his own staff with disrespect and indifference. No hotel room:It was clear that the staff had given the booking.com room to a couple without a reservation, and were unprepared for our arrival with a confirmation. We did not arrive by car, but by bicycle. We were offered an apartment at the upper end of the old quarter, far from the hotel, requiring that we lug our bags up 100+ medieval stone steps. A three-star hotel would have provided transportation to the alternative site under the circumstances. In fact, there was a road just behind the apartment, which would have made the dangerous climb unnecessary. We discovered it on our own the next day. They showed us a brochure of the apartments, claiming that they would have cost much more than the EUR 140 that we were paying. In fact, the apartment was not part of the inventory. All the apartments in the brochure were occupied. We were placed in an unfinished suite. The bathroom and kitchen were still being worked on. There was no hot water. There was exposed wiring for future appliances. There was no exterior lighting for the very dangerous steps, and no lighting in the kitchen. The apartment was not only not ready, but clearly not worth the price of the room at sea level overlooking the bay, which we had reserved. When we went to the owner for some redress, he refused to listen to us or his hotel manager. Essentially, the called us liars. He said that we did not have to accept the room, which was not true either, because the manager had registered our passports with the police while we were still lugging our bags to the apartment, so we were stuck there. The owner clearly had no concern for his guests or his staff. His rudeness and refusal to visit the premises or to offer a discount or other redress were actually the worst part of the experience.

Review 2:The town itself on the Bay of Kotor

Review 3:The location is amazing, right by the water! We had one of the cheapest rooms and it still had ocean view. The hotel building is also very charming and the staff very nice and helpful.

Review 4:Strange hotel.nothing was set UP. Been told it was full booked,,but we where the only quest.staff was friendly but look like they did not like the situation at all??

Review 5:Staff

Review 6:Typical European bath (no shower curtain, have to sit and hold thesprayer); couldn't get the sound to work on the tv/sound system;bedding, furniture and bath quite basic.

Review 7:Friendly staff , fantastic setting for restaurant - right on the water -and the breakfast was good; parking is available, important since thisthis is a 'car free' town... Perast is a wonderful little town -this hotel was basic but fine.

Review 8:No bottled water in room.

Review 9:Staff very helpful and pleasant

Review 10:The location of the hotel and restaurant

Review 11:The bathroom wasn't very nice and had very low lighting. The building is obviously old and could do with a bit of modernisation.

Review 12:We had the loft room facing the bay, which was a beautiful view. We also enjoyed eating at their restaurant on the waterfront. Perfect location to spend a night, and so quiet when the tour buses leave.

Review 13:Only downside was the bathroom in room 103

Review 14:Fantastic setting on Lake Kotor, beautiful view of the lake from our room. Cosy bedroom but bathroom was of noticeably poorer quality

Review 15:The tub did not have a shower curtain and did not have a place to hook the shower head into so you had to hold it the whole time. It was just a little uncomfortable because you just didn't want to get the whole bathroom floor wet, even though there is a drain...

Review 16:Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was big, clean and had ac. Definitely would recommend staying here because it is right in front of the bay, the restaurant staff is friendly as well and the food is good.

Review 17:Bathrooms very basic, weird small bath with hand held shower head, nothing to attach it to. Over priced for the type of hotel, its 2 star at best, but you pay for the location and it was peak season.

Review 18:Lovely wee town away from the crazy crowds in Kotor, right on the waterfront so beautiful views. The front desk staff were lovely, very helpful. Free car parking is great. The rooms are ok, all the basics covered but without any luxuries. It's not a hotel to spend any time in, just sleep and have breakfast then get out and explore Montenegro

Review 19:Small cramped rooms

Review 20:Location, beautiful view from some windows
