Reviews for Hotel Per Astra
Review 1:The staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. Every effort was made to make my stay comfortable. Everybody I met spoke excellent English and were very friendly.
Review 2:You need to be fit to stay here! There is no lift and the best rooms are on the second floor and there are over 150 steps to the town below. The hotel is quite expensive for the area and when paying over 200 Euros a night one expects the small bottle of water placed at the side of the bed to be free - but it wasn't!
Review 3:There are lovely views from the hotel and generally the staff were very pleasant
Review 4:Sadly, it would not be the place to stay if you have limited mobility as there are a lot of steep steps to negotiate to get down to (and back up again!) the town centre and sea front.
Review 5:Beautiful comfortable suites with fabulous Kotor bay views. Absolutely all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We also had two very good evening meals in the restaurant.
Review 6:Aircon wasn't the best.
Review 7:Superb little hotel. Huge bathroom (could have done with a little modernisation). Nice bedroom. Fabulous views and A1 staff and service. Hard to knock.
Review 8:Have to go down 120 steps to waterfront, sometimes using the balance of a mountain goat (there is a drive around route). Meal at restaurant was disappointing compared to restaurants in village. Service was very mixed. Breakfast was pre-ordering rather than buffet - pain au chocolat had to be ordered night before (tedious)
Review 9:Room with balcony was super, great view, lovely temp at end of May, no Mosquitos (oddly) - three exhausted friends sat on the balcony, read and laughed, looking up at the passing boats, cruisers and yachts for 3 days
Review 10:Our in room hottub didn't quite have enough hot water to fill up all the way but I think that is more a function of the age of the building and country we were visiting.
Review 11:The bed was very comfortable and the rooms extremely spacious.
Review 12:Wi-Fi had quite poor signal but truthfully, that meant there was so much more to enjoy without the Internet.
Review 13:What a lovely place to spend a quiet and beautiful holiday. We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff is helpful, the breakfast is plentiful and the views are to die for. The food is to die for. We will come back.
Review 14:Distance to Kotor makes you plan your adventure to the town. This is not really an issue when you consider the charm of Perast.
Review 15:The staff at Per Astra were amazing. We were greeted by name when we arrived and treated like royals during our stay. We were given an upgrade to a very large suite. Upon our return from dinner, our room was decorated for our honeymoon that made our last few days very memorable. Perast is a very charming and quiet town that gives you every ability to relax.
Review 16:hotel and staff were creepy; executive room looked like it might have once been a ballroom because there was a diamond shaped space in the center which was made of parquet wood; hotel didn't have any guests besides myself and my wife; steps, steps, steps to the hotel and back up to the room and 121 to the town below. Pool was like ice and wellness area unappealing; staff spoke very little English but pretended to do so to our irritation; example - I asked for a light blanket and ended up with a heavier one; asked for American coffee and had expresso, etc., etc.; meals in Perast were disgusting.
Review 17:The incredible view of the Bay of Kotor
Review 18:Minor stuff: steps & lighting down to the centre could do with some improvement. Bathroom smelt a bit of drains sometimes, toilet was in an odd position, wifi a bit patchy
Review 19:Stayed two nights in a great big room with large balcony overlooking the bay. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Had dinner at conte twice - highly recommend.
Review 20:The steam room was not working, the wifi connection was exceptionally weak and the breakfast was not great.
Review 21:The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant food was very good (but slightly overpriced) and the views were stunning. Just a short walk into the scenic village of perast and a good base to explore other areas by car.
Review 22:Drinking water for cash !!! - in room for 200 euro one night ???unbeliveable scrudge by the way fruits are free - I don't understandand old furnitures, very loud ac
Review 23:Location, size of room, brillant breakfast with very good coffee, viewfrom window
Review 24:None
Review 25:We were on our honeymoon, staff was incredibly polite and friendly. They bumped us from "garden view" to "sea view" for free. Hotel located for about 250-300 meters from the sea, get ready to handle stairs for 150-200 meters. Breakfasts is very good. Small swimming pool. Lots of restaurants around. A little bit expensive, but it's totally worth it.
Review 26:Very kind staff who made sure our stay was effortless.
Review 27:Staff go out of their way to help!!!

Review 35:LOCATION
Review 36:Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was perfect. Would go back
Review 37:It is not something that I didnt like, but it is essential to hire a car when visiting this part of Montenegro. The hotel provides free parking.
Review 38:The location of the hotel is fantastic with sweeping views of Kotor bay, and only 2 minutes walk down to the front. The hotel itself has 11 rooms, yet the service and food was better then most 5* hotels I've stayed in (such as the Four Seasons). I really can't recommend it enough, specially for both younger and mature couples as a romantic destination.
Review 39:Between the room and the bathroom is no curtained window. It could be envisaged Roman shades or blinds to not worry as to distract the child, when using the toilet and shower.
Review 40:High in the mountains, stunning views, helpful staff, beautiful rooms!
Review 41:The location is stunning overlooking the Bay of Kotorska and the Verige. This was enhanced by the dedicated and friendly staff and the wonderful Italian themed food served on the terrace.
Review 42:Terrible breakfast service poor towels couple of bathroom flaws unpleasant male waiter
Review 43:Location, Stunning views, comfortable hotel suite, helpful female staff, pleasant terrace and garden
Review 44:We stayed in Per Astra for three nights and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The hotel is located on the hills with one of the most stunning views I have ever seen. The room was comfortable with nice decor and a big jacuzzi, very sophisticated and with a luxurious feeling. The breakfast and lunch was delicious, so tasty and well presented. Also the staff was wonderful and really help us to make our stay as good as possible! I highly recommend this hotel and wish that we can go back soon again.
Review 45:Seen better spas.
Review 46:Excellent. Great location (best in Kotor bay). Perast is full of history but not as crowded with tourists. Great old building. We stayed in a sea view apartment, magnificent. Very attentive staff. Quite pricey, worth it. Try their steak.
Review 47:Internet reception in our room was poor, but seemed fine in just about every other area.
Review 48:Hotel Per Astra commands a premium position in Perast, looking out over the beautifully preserved village to the Bay of Kotor and the Mountains which surround it. The hotel is well appointed, has friendly, helpful staff and provides free parking. The lovely pool terrace is also the venue for breakfast. A great way to start the day. We loved Perast and have no doubt we chose the best place to stay, even if it was a bit above our usual budget.
Review 49:A great location, a very comfortable and quiet room with a great view, and very welcoming and helpful staff
Review 50:Fantastic location, with amazing views. A great place to relax and unwind.
Review 51:Staff was fantastic, extremely accommodating and friendly. The grounds and pool were beautiful. Would definitely stay again
Review 52:Not much. A few stairs to climb to enjoy the experience.
Review 53:Great staff, good food, very comfortable rooms.
Review 54:Nice hotel, excellent location, friendly staff
Review 55:be prepared to walk some stairs
Review 56:unbelievable view and staff
Review 57:The breakfast was a bit random
Review 58:Attentiveness of staff View Decor
Review 59:Too dark in the bedroom. Needs brighter walls and more light.
Review 60:Everything except the bedroom decor
Review 61:Zoran and rest of the staff
Review 62:The transparant glass between room and bathroom.
Review 63:Very good hotel for Honey Moon. Location and staff are perfect!!!!(espesially Zoran)
