Review 1：Value is overpriced in relate to the comfort. The windows are worn beyond proper use causing a privacy issue when showering. English communication is bare minimum. WiFi is designated area.

Review 5：We booked at Moderna thinking it was a fresh and modern hostel in the centre of Figueira da Foz. The reality was quite the contrary. The staff is a family that wanders about the hostel corridors and lounge (which is actually their living room). The whole place is dusty and rather dirty, even the 'staff' didn't look very decent. Especially the bathroom, we didn't dare to touch anything. To make matters worse when we arrived the toilet paper in our toilet was even finished. We ended up showering at the beach showers. If you want to sit in the lounge area, prepare to be joined by the family that runs the place, playing games, watching tv and listening to loud music.
Review 6：Like the title suggests; only go here if you really need a place to sleep. Otherwise try other places. The location is good, that is about it.
Review 7：- The sheets, blankets and towels were really dirty, I don't know if they are not properly washed or if they are not washed for a long time. - It's close to the river but far from the beach. - The parking spot in the back of the building is really difficult to park the car without scrapping it somewhere.
Review 8：- The quality/price ratio is overall good, despite the bad points. - There is a lot of market around (pastries, coffee shops, ...)
Review 9：The room was overheated at first but we could open the window and get finally fresh air. Wifi didn't work well in the room, but did in the stairs.
Review 10：Central, we could park the car outside, and go by foot in the center. We took a breakfast in a cafe nearby. The personal was friendly and helpful.
Review 11：Residencial Moderna is located on a fairly large square just steps to the marina area. Even though they have an enclosed parking area, I just pulled into a spot right across the street. It is metered, but since I arrived after hours and left in the morning, it was a moot point. This is the coolest hotel. I was greeted by the owner's son, a diligent young man about ten years old. He had the check in routine down pat, from passport to payment. With my Spanish, we were able to understand one another quite well. The hallway to the rooms reminds you of a medieval monastery with ceilings that must be at lesst 15 feet high. Tall double doors lead into the rooms and automatic light sensors turn on the lights as you advance down the hall. The room has twin beds, a nice ledge for a headboard with convenient light switches on it. The room had a back view and was very quiet. There is a very long desk, chair, and small TV and also a built in closet. The bathroom is fine. oddly there doesn't seem to be any hot water in the sink, but there is plenty of hot water in the shower. They also have a huge comfortably furnished common room with large flat screen TV. The family also uses the area and they are very nice and very involved in running the pension and pleasing their guests. Room price was 15€, my cheapest stay yet!
Review 12：The price on internet was € 55,00 for 3 persons. When we arrived the asked €65,00. We had to negociate and then we payed €55,00. Not nice. The third bed was not good
Review 13：Hotel totally unlike website, that picture of a garden and what lookslike low buildings is actually a view of the on -site car park Didntrecognise hotel as door entrance is between 2 commercial shops, thoughSatnav went straight to it. First room accessed though a hallway full ofbuilding materials and when it was changed on request to a room withview over garden turned out to have no hot water and as we discoveredtoo late , a blocked toilet!
