Reviews for Elephant line
Review 1:Mosquito net too small for bed.
Review 2:Friendly staff, watching Aussie cricket on the TV, good rice and curry, organised great safari for us with a comfy jeep and excellent driver.
Review 3:Noisy at night (it's along the road + monekys running)
Review 4:Fine quality for this price, basic breakfast included, they can organise safari (4000 per person for a group of 4 people, all included).
Review 5:I did not feel safe there at all, the owner kept knocking on my door and there were lots of men chilling out in the reception area. As a solo female i didn't feel comfortable.
Review 6:He helped me book a safari, but I had to go alone because he couldn't arrange groups..
Review 7:Owner push too much in arranging private transportation with their friends, follow you with the motorbike when you leave the accommodation to see where you go.
Review 8:It was a pleasure experience to stay at Elephant Line Udawalawa. The owner is a really warm person, always ready to satisfy his customers with an excellent service
Review 9:The room wasn't very clean. There were a lot of ants in the room, even in my bed. And i killed two cockroaches. Hotel advertises being able to arrange dinner. But that depends on if the owner is there, in my case he wasn't. So i ate at the restaurant down the road (town is very small, not many places to eat or do anything but the safari). Also was given a price for the safari based on 3 participants (in 7 person vehicle). When on the morning of an extra person joined the price didn't go down. And he made the new girl actually pay 1000 r more than us. Which i felt was a double ripoff as the trip should actually have become cheaper for all of us. That being said the safari was awesome, saw over 30 elephants including some really young ones
Review 10:The location is close to the park. The owner can arrange a safari. Free wifi and breakfast. It's not very expensive, i guess you get what you paid for...
Review 11:No light in bathroom.
Review 12:Excellent location, can walk to town (1km). Snacks and drinks available nearby. Quiet area, good breakfast. They can arrange tours to Uda Walawe National Park.
Review 13:Staff is very welcoming, easy-going and pro. Rooms are humble and clean. As for the bathroom (lukewarm water) We were very pleased to stay there and surprised by a peaceful atmosphere. Regular basic breakfast (eggs, toasts, tea)
Review 14:Excellent location with comfortable rooms, clean bathroom.Owner is very friendly & service is very good. Safari done by experience driver with safety & very much enjoyable. Saw lot of Elephants.
Review 15:The pictures made it look better than it actually was. Nonetheless, since they have to pay a 800 Rs fee to booking.com it was a really fair price for the room.
Review 16:The guide for the safari that they organized was great!! The wifi worked excellent and it was an ok place to stay for one night.
Review 17:Good stuff;) they organized for us jeep safary!
Review 18:Nice location, good for Safari, good value for money
Review 19:Very friendly owner, quick WiFi, nice homemade food
Review 20:The shower is not hot.
Review 21:The room is clean, but there are many ants in bathroom. And the bathroom is dark.
