The Schmittenhöhe Berghotel is only reachable by cable car, which operates between 08:30 and 16:30. From the valley station, the centre of Zell am See can be reached in 5 minutes with the free ski bus, or on foot in 20 minutes. The ski pass is also valid in Kaprun, 5 miles away.

Review 1：The necessity to stressfully rush every day to catch the last gondola by 16:30, otherwise no way to get back to the hotel, no soap in Spa, no wifi in the room, not ideal water pressure in the shower and not regulated temperature: either too hot or too cold

Review 4：The service, food and ambiance of this hotel are some of the best we have ever experienced. People could not have been more friendlier and attentive. Great location, sensational views and amazing spa.

Review 5：The bathroom was very small, however we did book quite late so that was all that was available. There was no shower gel/ shampoo, but we survived!

Review 7：The rooms are a bit old. We wish the hotel felt more cozy, it is definitely lacking some better attitude. No WiFi at all and not a single English channel on TV made it a bit boring. Asked to order a taxi at reception on leaving day but it never came (or never was ordered), luckily there was a bus.

Review 15：We booked a "comfort room with a spacious bathroom". The room was very small, sparsely furnished and the bathroom was 80cmx1.50cm. The evening meal was not up to 2014 standard. Pork, pork and tough beef in a strange sauce. It is obvious that the owners are only bothered about getting your money in their pocket as fast as they can. Never again!
