Reviews for Hotel Ichii
Review 1:I stayed in a room on the other building and it's quite a distance. It's also a bit confusing that I have to change elevators 2 times in order to get to my room. Anyway, once I get used to it, everything is good.
Review 2:Location, the room itself and the public bath.
Review 3:- Communication problem (No English) Difficult to get information and easily miss something advantage (good place to visit, special offer, etc) - Limited activity Only bath and eat, drinking, shopping (also no information) - Expensive USD 100 will be reasonable price for two persons in one room including breakfast
Review 4:- Excellent location. Kusatsu is a small town and hotel Ishii is located at the heart of original Onsen area. - Quality of water Quality of water is excellent. Full with mineral (sulfur) and good for skin, muscle pain, etc. Better than water in Piestany, Slovakia. - Facilities They have a outdoor bath and enjoy fresh air at European style. (There are many similar style (hot spa) in Europe.)
Review 5:onsen a bit small, would be better if the view is facing the big onsen facilities outside
Review 6:very nice staff, feeling of culture and history, great fun in testing out products in onsen, great location. great little town, very comfy
Review 7:Service did not meet expextation. Basically they don't have non-smoking room at all so you will be assigned random smoking room and if you are not lucky like myself, you will be suffered gross smoking smells. It was so bad so I could not get sleep. Also you will be kicked out before the time you asked cleaning the room. Cleaner was very rude and he rang the bell twice to chase us and kick us out from the room even it was earlier than the time we asked to clean our room.
Review 8:Food was really nice. I enjoyed buffet and Japanes style dinner very much.
Review 9:Hotel could do with more signage & information in English.
Review 10:The staff were eager to help & very pleasant. When we needed a lift to the bus station it was not a problem. The location was great for exploring the town. The footbath in the town centre was very popular & interesting to see so many people wearing their hotel Yukata's while out & about. The Yumomi performance next to the Yubatake is worth seeing & a visit to the Sai no kawara park & baths is a must.
Review 11:WiFi is only in lobby and not reliable. Signal drops off frequently. Hotel gets sufficient business, so management should consider installing a better WiFi system considering their WiFi is limited to lobby area only.
Review 12:Onsen facility. Food. Complimentary shuttle pick up and drop off. clean room.
Review 13:We would have preferred to stay in the main building. We were placed in the annex building which meant we had to walk a bit to get to the restaurant . Also, the building looked a bit tired.
Review 14:- superb location right across from Yubatake - front desk staff that bent over backwards for us (When we were retrieving our bags that we had left with them, the front desk staff asked us if we wanted to take the shuttle bus to the bus station. Upon checking, she realized that there wasn't a bus run scheduled at that particular time. But she quickly and efficiently arranged a special drop-off at the station for us! We felt very grateful.) - nice outdoor onsen in the hotel - the price included breakfast and dinner in our case
Review 15:guest's foodstep it came very loud at night and could disturb while a good rest. Temperature in room during a night was very hot and make me cannot sleep as it was a center-air condition so even adjust temperature still cannot help.
Review 16:nice location, staff was very polite and friendly.
Review 17:1. No free wifi 2. lack of towel supply 3. air conditioning in room, either too hot or turn it off 4. dinning area is full of oily greasy smell, the air refreshing facility is suck
Review 18:location is sufficient
Review 19:Nothing
Review 20:It's right in front of the hot spring at the middle of town. From the bus station its a 5 min walk. As it was our wedding anniversary the hotel has arranged for our room to face the Yabutake hot spring and it was really wonderful. Breakfast and dinner were included in our package and we tried different restaurants in our three day two night stays. There are staff who can speak English ans Mandarin so it was really convenient during our stay. Overall a really nice hotel to stay in.
Review 21:The Japanese styled room was not to expectations, but not a big problem as you spend a lot more time outside or at the onsen. The corridor to the room had strong cigarette smoke smells, even though our room was non-smoking
Review 22:Overall favourable scores : a) Food - Good dinner, especially the cream puffs. The food quality to my regard is good quality for a mass-hotel b) Location - hotel is just beside the iconic Yubatake, walking distance to the park and bus terminus... Also, the location has nearby public baths as additional options. c) Hotspring The standard is considered good for the price paid.. though the range of toiletries not as wide or premium. d) Service The hotel provides free shuttle to bus terminus.
