Reviews for Palm Garden Guest House
Review 1:Feel bit alone because WiFi is not strong enough and no TV either.
Review 2:Not a luxury facility nor the luxury charges. So worth and even cheaper. More than enough spaces and beds. No mosquitos. Again say this is worth for one night or may be huge number of family members trip.
Review 3:The first room I was shown had its matress made up of different pieces of rubber foam. Got a new room, good bed but still a moldy smell all around (you're in the middle of rice fields). The floor of the room was clean but the restroom was featuring: a thick layer of humidity; a pole stuck in the wall to close a water pipe in place of a missing tap. Some of the bikes on rental are no good.
Review 4:The garden is actually well maintained, there is a net around your bed.
Review 5:No blanket provided. Bathroom was dirty with water standing all over the floor.
Review 6:Convenient location for sigiriya visit. Owner speaks little english in comparison to other hotel owners.
Review 7:The bathroom is not the best
Review 8:They took us from bus station for free. The staff is very nice. They have bikes and the place is perfect for bike travel to archeological site.
Review 9:Watch out for the Mosquitos!
Review 10:Our hosts were super friendly and gave us good advice on what to do and where to go. They also cooked dinner for us and served it in their beautiful garden, very delicious!
Review 11:Location was not really ideal but that is not their fault, that is the nature of the location. Fan in the room needs adjustments as it is not blowing downwards but to the sides making the room really hot. Also the bikes could need some tuning as they are not the most comfortable.
Review 12:Friendly staff, good food, lovely garden
Review 13:The pillows feel like sacks of potatoes. In a word, really uncomfortable. The internet sometimes slows down to a trickle of data or can't be used at all The place is not as quite as it may seem
Review 14:Staff is nice and very helpful There's plenty of bicycles for hire and most of them are in good working order Location is good
Review 15:Slightly out of town - easy to navigate on buses though, or bikes are available to rent. It was peaceful as we were slightly out of town. Slightly imposing host Dinner and breakfast way overpriced
Review 16:Nice big rooms, each with their own outdoor seating area. Bike rental which is handy
Review 17:Unfortunally there was a frog and a lizzard in our bathroom... but those were only in the bathroom, so we just kept the door shut over the night to keep them out.
Review 18:The host was very friendly and nice. We liked especially about this place that you could rent the bikes in the hostel for free and that he offered a free drop out to the City if ypu liked to go dining in the evening or sth. like that. Also the athmosphere at this place is amazing, very nice to just sit at your front porch and enjoy the garden view.
Review 19:The place is great located in front of green rice fields, not far from the centre and bus stops anyway tuk tuks take you there :) Fantastic atmosphere, lots of palms, great food and lovely staff! :)
Review 20:About ac Room:- Absolutely overpriced. Low level backpackers rooms. 15$ rooms sold at 30$. - The worst quality-price in SriLanka - Small, old and depressing rooms. - Pathetic furnitures, broken, ugly. - Bath depressing with dirty plastic furnitures. - WFI only outside the room - The bed don't have over sheets (only mattress), no towel, no soap, nothing. - No light bulb in the bathroom (when I reach) - Only one electric socket without any adaptor. (I had to buy one) - All mosquito net broken - Newspaper sheets stick on the windows - No breakfast for 30$ room (you have to pay 4$ extra). If you are stupid...it's your choice.
Review 21:They rent old bikes (but don't have any pump!!, So 90% are useless)Have beer. Have hot water The sheet over the mattress (ther is nomore..) seems to be clean. The bed have mosquito net. (But not inwindows!!)
