Reviews for Villa Madau

Review 1:only improvement woud be the wifi- it did not really work in the rooms...otherwise all perfect

Review 2:I fully recommend this place to anybody who wants to spend relaxing vacation time in amazing South of Sardinia - hotel right in the center with lots of restaurants around - staff very friendly and helpful - rooms were a little small but nicely furnished

Review 3:Room had problems: running toilet, sink stopper stuck, dead light bulbs, odor. Also, no wifi in rooms, only lounge areas.

Review 4:Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 5:Nothing

Review 6:- in the centre of town - nice breakfast - good on site restaurant - bags of character - no parking on site but possible about a 10 minute walk away - Front room overlooks the square and church for people watching but could be noisy in high season - helpful staff suggested places to visit - reasonable value - Would stay again.

Review 7:A little noisy

Review 8:Great location

Review 9:Location was excellent as Pula in the evening was very lively with good restaurants.

Review 10:Not ideal for someone who wants a quiet hotel.

Review 11:The very central location and the quirky interior of the hotel.

Review 12:Wifi is very poor

Review 13:Very clean

Review 14:No wifi, unconformortable bed

Review 15:Terraces, centrally located within the village

Review 16:wifi is free but does not work in the rooms

Review 17:location, people

Review 18:bit noisy

Review 19:very nice staff, comfortable room, good breakfast

Review 20:- Breakfast: food selection is poor. - Cleaning: rooms are not cleaned well. I was quite disappointed that the sand was not swiped away from the floor every day. - Noise: the hotel is located in the centre of the city so expect some noise from the street.

Review 21:+ The staff was very friendly and helpful. In particular, I should mention that Nicola was extremely nice and advised us on the most beautiful beaches and places to visit and eat. Big plus. Ask him! + Hotel is, overall, good value for money. It's a good 3 stars hotel. + The restaurant (Federico's cafe') is pretty good. One or two times is worth eating there.

Review 22:Felt the hotel is a shabby version of what it is portrayed as. Lack of attention to detail everywhere. Candles not lit, rooftop terrace was really dirty when we stayed and not in use - very disappointing as this was one of the reasons we chose it. Didn't get a good welcome upon check-in, no help with baggage. Pretty disappointing and not good value for money.

Review 23:Location was central however very difficult to park close by.

Review 24:Nothing.

Review 25:All the staff were welcoming, accommodating, and friendly beyond measure. Truly made us feel at home and relaxed. Decor was fun. Food was really good. Excellent position in the heart of the town. Organised a meal for party of 35 people at 24 hours notice. Very impressive.

Review 26:The quality of this hotel is very poor:- cleaning is very poor (especially in the bathroom, towels not changed, dirty floor, dust everywhere) - lousy and old furnishing: very old materaces, old furnishing, broken lights - breakfast: on first day nothing was left apart from some old pastry. On the second day nothing was prepared at the announced time so had to ask to get something (in the end we got a coffe and 1 pastry and half pineapple / person) - loud opening party: was not announced from the hotel. Went until late (02 in the morning). No compensation from hotel offered and no excuse given. In all don't book this hotel - price-quality ratio is very poor. Even local people we talked to have said that the hotel is known for the poor standard and a lot of tourists already have complained. Not sure but the comments on tripadvisor might be written by hotel.

Review 27:Not worth booking! Personel friendly and helpful

Review 28:The one way system in Pula is a bit of a nightmare, and you can't park your car in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, but you can stop just opposite it to load your luggage. And, being out of season, we always found free parking within 3 minutes walk of the hotel.

Review 29:The best bits are: location, staff and ground floor decor. Good breakfast, with ham, cheese and boiled eggs in addition to the standard continental menu. Good menu for dinner, with reasonable prices. There is also a lift! and the bar has an outside seating area, with umbrellas lit by fairy lights at night, in the little square facing the church. Lovely. Will go back.

Review 30:The internet connection was hiccuping.

Review 31:Extremely helpful and professional staff. Good continental breakfastplus ham, cheese, boiled eggs and cakes. Excellent location in themiddle of the little town, free parking available a couple of minuteswalk away (might be more difficult in peak season). There is a lovelyroof terrace which is ideal for pre-dinner aperitifs (unless the weatheris rainy-ish, as during our stay, then the furniture is taken inside).

Review 32:Breakfast items were not topped up quickly enough, so customers taking load soy one thing (meat, peaches etc. ) left none for others and were not topped up promptly. As we know the town and prices the hotel vastly overcharged for two 200ml beers, which we thought was greedy and taking advantage.

Review 33:We liked the fact that it was in the centre of town. We liked the unorthodox nature of the building and rooms.

Review 34:We stayed on a saturday night and we found the room a bit noisy because of a couple of night clubs located in the neighborhood

Review 35:Awesome hotel perfectly located in a central square in Pula. Polite and kind staff. We also enjoyed the terrace bar at the second floor: very nice!

Review 36:The room was nice as well as the whole hotel. The staff was veryfriendly and helpful. And the was able to speak English, German andSpanish which was very good.

Review 37:Its great value for money, well located in the town of Pula. The roomsare stylishly decorated and free wifi is available in all the rooms. Thehotel has an excellent restaurant and bar. It as also close to many barsand restaurants in Pula.

Review 44:breakfast wasn't that great
