Reviews for Hotel New Koyo

Review 1:a bit far from bus station need to walk uphills so one should prepare for light overnight bags.

Review 2:Very good buffet dinner with free flow of alcoholic drinks.Nice autumn view from our room and fantastic outdoor onsen.

Review 3:There is no towels, shampoo and shower gel. Although towels can be rented.

Review 4:Beautiful view from the window (ask the upper floors). Excellent location (just behind the hotel there is a park Sainokavara. To walk 10 minutes to Yubatake. A spacious room. Yukata (color and size). A great Onsen in hotel.

Review 5:Windows were not airtight, so wind howled. The lobby was a bit institutional and in-room washrooms were a bit out dated. But the friendly and helpful staff made up for it!

Review 6:Enjoyed the included half-board buffet and the onsite onsen.

Review 7:Difficult to find it first time. For some reason you have to pay for towel rent. Dont accept visa or mastercard. On weekdays most crowd are senior people, so young people might feel uncomfortable. One of the walls was dirty. Staff speaks nothing but japanese. Wi-fi only in the lobby.

Review 8:Breathtaking mountain view (from all rooms). From the top floors you see straming hot spring itself and beautiful mountain landscape. Air so fresh, you almost can taste it. Breakfast and dinner are authentic japanese. So be careful, some stuff is weird. Its good though. Big onsen (hot bath). Handsome outside onsen with deligtful view. Price/quality is good. Autentic japanese furniture. May seem not very up to date.

Review 9:No room service whatsoever; just about adequate buffet food

Review 10:Location at edge of Kusatsu Onsen, nice, unrestricted view into the green mountains; really good price; generous, clean Japanese room; nice little rotenburo

Review 11:No shuttle bus from the train station to the hotel. It is rather difficult especially when you are carrying your heavy luggage uphill and it is not a short distance!

Review 12:The hot spring outside was too hot.

Review 13:Considering the cost, it was more than I expected.

Review 25:Place is looking a little tired

Review 26:A place where people go to enjoy themselves. Gentleman at reception made us feel very welcome despite the language barrier( we speak no Japanese) explained about meals and the facilities. Meals were plentiful and free beer wine and saki!

Review 27:Dinner and breakfast weren't that great. Public bath of hotel was only one large bath Hotel looks outdated with old floors etc. however rooms look great

Review 28:The view of the mountains is great The room I got was very large Dinner and breakfast are included There is a shuttle bus to Tokyo for only 500¥

Review 29:Rooms themselves need some TLC -- hardly any housekeeping going on during your stay. The toilet in my room was disgustingly filthy, with awful smell to complete the scene.

Review 30:Very affordable. Fantastic quality of onsen water. Nice, quiet location, very close to the Sainokawara park.
