Review 1：You dont feel very welcomed

Review 2：Orgnisation of the day trip in the old town. The beautiful lake is just behind the guest house. Perfect to watch the sunset.

Review 3：Service was terrible no one was at the reception ever! Wifi is availablebut just for a short time, it is probably incorrect to say that wifi isavailable in the guest house because it is not! Only after arguing withsomeone , saying that we actually payed for they let us use it and foronly 1h The general conditiom of the room and the bathroom are terriblefelt like being in jail!! Very dirty, very disorganized , the mosquitonet is too small for the bef.. Crazy DON't go!!!

Review 5：Good location, easy to go to the ancient city by bike following the canal straight to the entrance of the ticket office. Bike rental available. Food is very good in the restaurant! The guesthouse is in a quiet area and has a nice private yard where you can spend evenings. The hosts were really helpful and helped us organised the safari to Minneriya National Park. Friendly owner

Review 6：There is no-one around. We were merely welcomed. They have a restaurant, but instead of asking if we liked a drink, they ignored us and sat down and had dinner themselves. Lights are out quickly, Peeking through door is possible when locked, Wifi is always down, no-one around to help you, Roaches in the bed. Staying at a cheap accomodation means that you can accept a certain lack of facilities, but not feeling welcome isn't one of them!

Review 7：Location is good, hire of bikes at low cost.

Review 8：Worst place we have stayed in Sri Lanka, blight all over the room, smell. I would better paint the rooms once a year than have a flatscreen tv at the gate. Was shocked when i realized that in Lonely Planet is taht palces matched as the best place in Pollonaruwa ?!

Review 9：Close to the ruins, but in that village its all close .. U can survive one night to see the ruins next morning, but be ready for mosquitos cause its just next to the lake )))

Review 10：Staff not really interested in guests (continues to watch TV - we felt like disturbing her); linen dirty and full of holes; no soap or other toiletries and almost no toilet paper provided; spider webs; MOST STRIKING: room smelled extremely mouldy and musty. Mould visible at many places in the room (repainted after rainy season according to host). Without a previous online reservation, we would not have stayed there for sure.

Review 11：Central location, bike rental at reasonable price (250 LKR per day) even though bikes in bad condition, e.g. brakes almost effectless.

Review 12：The room was smelling bad due to high humidity. Not sure if that was because of the recent floods. The eating tables not clean. Cold water only in the bathroom but after a long day under the sun we needed a cool shower so we did not complaint. Bikes was not of the highest quality and in one of them only one of the brakes worked.

Review 13：The location of the place is excellent. You can rent a bike and go to all the sites arround. The owners are friendly. Food was ok and by keeping in mind that all the other places are looking bad makes it the only safe option. The value for money is good but don't expect anything spectacular. It's one of the most basic places we visited.

Review 15：The woman who runs the place really wasnt that friendly and despite the awesome location we wouldn't stay there again. There was hot water which was good but the bathroom was pretty grotty and generally we felt intruded upon and watched by the main woman running the place. Sri lankans are so friendly and its easy to find lovely guesthouse runners so i wouldn't go back.
