Reviews for Hotel Amalias Hus

Review 1:Staff very friendly and welcoming to this lovely hotel. We got upgraded to a beautiful room (since being there off season). Really good breakfast! Staff were also attentive, helpful and made it a very enjoyable stay.

Review 2:1. Our suite was too cold for living (inside it - 1 fireplace and 1 oven - nothing works). We (incl. 8months baby) had to sleep in warm clothes. Jacuzzi in room - but useless - cos it too cold. 2. No food around after 6 pm Sunday. Reception lady couldn't help us - just told to go and find it somewhere around... Everything was closed( 3. Coffee mashine in room - but no water to make it - no minibar. No tea - you have to go to the reception (another building) through the street for hot water. 4. TV on the wall face another wall (not to the bed or sofa). How to watch it?

Review 3:Nice old buildings and old 18th century things in rooms. Park is near and main street and museum is near too.

Review 4:Slamming of plates early in the morning ruined a much needed sleep in.

Review 5:nice room and restaurant

Review 6:Restaurant closed at seven pm. As well as three other ones on the main street.

Review 7:Very nice historic Hotel. Nice big room.

Review 8:The beds are very soft. The kids beds are uncomfortable at sll

Review 9:Great place. Like a history book

Review 10:The big room with oldstyle furniture. The service minded staff and the nice little restaurant.

Review 11:Never got to meet the owners.

Review 12:All was excellent.

Review 13:Dusty and do not look under the bed. Room is small with a jacuzzi as the toilette is larger

Review 14:Comfy bed, great with jacuzzi. Good location

Review 15:Hotel Amalias Hus is a lovely and quirky cottage-like establishment: the hotel is situated next to a park on the hill in the village of Granna and consists of several small period buildings closely clustered round each other, with paths, small patios and a lovely orchard garden connecting them. The rooms are decorated in period Swedish style that matches the age of the buildings (18th century), with the odd nautical touch. Everything is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food was extremely good: both the breakfast buffet and the evening meals we ate there, and the dining room in the main house was delightful. The staff were friendly and most helpful and accommodating. Although on the main street, Amalias Hus Hotel is at the quiet end, so very restful, but within easy walking distance of the shops, museum, other parks, ferry over the lake etc etc. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Review 16:While the dinner was wonderful we felt that it was a bit pricey.

Review 17:This is a historic property and we loved the setting. This should be considered when making any assessment. The room had charm and we wish we could have stayed longer than the one night that we had. The dinner/restaurant was wonderful.

Review 18:It had lovely ambiance, and history. We liked that in was convenient to Main Street Granna. It was quiet and pleasant and decorated in the period of 1800's. The room was on the small side but not a problem. We chose this hotel for the reasons above and were not disappointed

Review 19:Lack of parking

Review 20:Unique and beautiful decor. Very cozy and comfortable.

Review 21:very coosy hotel with nice ambiance
