Reviews for Kusatsu Now Resort Hotel

Review 1:No clear direction on use of "Air Conditioner". After summer months, air conditioners become "heaters". When inquiring about lack of "Air conditioning" in our room, told by staff to "turn off". Was not informed that during our stay, "heaters" are in place of "Air conditioning" because of season change.

Review 2:Convenient shuttle service to bus depot, use of onsen, and the included dinner and breakfast buffet.

Review 3:Hotel was a bit run down. There seems to two types of rooms - the renovated and the non renovated And we had both. Another building was in construction, maybe that will be better and improve the quality and facilities . The food included was a self service buffet- lots of choice but average in quality. Not really value for money.

Review 4:Lots of racket sports facilities with rackets available for rental. Onsen was good. Shuttle bus to town center is great!

Review 5:The bed is not that comfy. and the facility quite old. The bathroom is very old.

Review 6:Free shuttle bus from Tokyo and dinner buffet with unlimited King Crabs. With a great variety of food and very tasty.

Review 7:The bathroom was smelly due to drainage system. I could not tolerate more, but was too late to discover. Luckily they got me another room on the other night, and the room was good (I believe I was being upgraded). No wifi at room!

Review 8:Staff was nice and helpful, the food was good. But the staff at Japanese at restaurant was not smart enough, as I did pre-order and paid a bday cake for my friend, which they did not even give her a candle.

Review 9:The staffs do not know English. You have to purchase bus ticket 2200 yen to go up to kusatu bus terminal(1 hour) and then took another hotel bus to the resort.

Review 10:Did not like the food. Buffet was not tasty. Bento from train stations are a lot better. Property has not been well maintained or updated. We smelled a very strong chemical smell like epoxy in the hallway. Looks like it has not been updated since the 80's.

Review 11:The fall colors were just starting to change so the natural beauty and hotsprings were beautiful.

Review 27:Onsen facility was good. Food choices was very varied for both dinner & breakfast thus even if you have seafood allergy, you wont go hungry.

Review 28:A distance from the shopping district, in other words you are stuck in that resort. Communicating with English can be a problem.

Review 29:Hospital stuff, nice onsen. Good meals.

Review 30:Drinks menu was misleading. I advised manager and staff to change the wording to avoid misunderstanding. Courtesy bus is not big enough to take suitcases. Will struggle if you have suitcase to carry.

Review 31:Hot spring pool private rental is very clean and cosy. Very enjoyable. Staff are all very polite and kind and helpful. Foods are nice and plenty of choice.

Review 32:No issues.

Review 33:Everything about our stay was top notch! After 3 days at this excellent Resort, we know that we wouldn't ever stay any where else in Kusatsu. The free shuttle service was a perfect way to get around town and the Onsen, called the Big Bath, is amazing. Breakfast went well beyond what we could've hoped for and the staff provided service that can only be delivered in Japan. Truly a lovely experience. A special thank you to K. Machida and the young man who works in the lounge near the entrance, and at the French restaurant (his pic is on the KNR poster in the hallways), arigato go zai mas!!

Review 34:Apart from the onsen, there is little to do at the hotel.

Review 35:Shuttle bus service to the snow and to the town. Excellent onsen both indoor and out. Buffet breakfast was also excellent.
