Reviews for Sea Zone Hotel Nilaveli

Review 1:Sea Zone Hotel is located in peaceful area, very close to the beach. Staff Is great! They are very nice and helpful, especially mr Bala and the manager. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Good wi fi.

Review 2:- we visited Nilaveli out of main season, therefore was (because of big waves) impossible to snorkel on the nearest Pigeon and Coral islands - beach was full of locals, who were sometimes very rude to foreign girls - full of teenagers who behaved like an idiots. Shouting on girls, lascivious gestures, trying to feel up girls in water... all harassment like that was unfortunatelly quite common there!

Review 3:- guite and peace location, however, not far than 150m to the beach - beautiful garden - very friendly staff, especially the older man who took care of the garden and our room - his name is Bala and is absolutelly cute :-) - outside seating was a perfect place for an evening rellax

Review 4:The bathroom is quite small, the room had quite a lot of ants in when we arrived. L The eating place is not there, you have to walk around the block, which is fine, except if it rains. The beach close by is not really clean, and always full of locals. Good experience, but not easy to swim or sunbath.

Review 5:The hotel is really basic: about 9 rooms with a nice courtyard in common and a few palms. The rooms are basic: there is enough space and they are quite clean. Bathroom is ok. The place is literally 100 m to the beach. If you want to go to the big resort beach tho you have to rent a bike or scooter from them. Breakfast was delicious and all the meals too. Home cooked food, good juices and lovely atmosphere.

Review 6:Far too expensive compare to level. Room and bathroom not clean. They advertise that there is wifi but it was very very slow or did not work at all. Staff did not understand one word English.

Review 7:Location was good quite near beach. Breakfast was in other place and good. Lady there spoke English. The garden was well looked after and beautiful.

Review 8:Where do I begin? The rooms weren't clean, the bedding was stained, the bathrooms smelled, the shower was practically non-existent. Breakfast consisted of toast and a few slices of watermelon. The hosts seemed nice if not nosy, but upon checkout a staff member actually started to beg for money from us, for no reason. We had already paid a large sum (we are student volunteers) and we didn't have extra cash to spend, plus we didn't feel our needs were met. I would not stay here again. So unprofessional and awkward.

Review 9:The location of this hotel was excellent if you desire a small place that's close to the ocean but literally nothing else. It was great for what we wanted- to be close to pigeon island and within walking distance to the shore. (5mins)

Review 10:Fan rooms can be too hot. No hot water (standard in LK).

Review 11:close to main street. Owner rents bicycle for sacred town tour. Close to a nice bakery and grocery.

Review 12:Not the hotel's fault and it's not a negative point for everyone but after sundown it is very hard to find something to do in the area besides sit by the porch of your room and if you're lucky enough to find, drink a beer or two. That said it adds to the experience of being cut off if you're so inclined.

Review 13:Closest place we could find to nilaveli beach at a reasonable price. Lovely mellow atmosphere overlooking a well kept garden. Clean rooms and basics all met well and staff are super helpful and great hosts and do all with their power to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Review 14:Bed and breakfast rate only included toast and fruit - eggs or Sri Lankan breakfast were charged extra

Review 15:It was lovely and peaceful, but close to the beach and the staff were very friendly

Review 16:Restaurant not attached to building, so had to walk for 5 minutes for meals. Still the same family, and not to much of a problem so a minor negative!

Review 17:Family atmosphere was lovely. They went to a lot of effort to make sure we were comfortable.

Review 18:The hotel is located 2mins walk from the most beautiful and very quiet beach.nice outdoor seating.clean room.the staff arranged a dolphin watching trip for us..nilaveli beach is very quiet so there are limited food options.

Review 19:Family room was a good size for 4 adults with a new bathroom. Very clean and lovely staff. Easy walk to the beach.

Review 20:very ordinary facilities. ineffective wifi, not comparable to good hotels. not for families with children

Review 21:location close to beach

Review 22:Staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean and nice.

Review 23:Wifi is a bit slow

Review 24:Extremely helpful staff, not in front of but so close to the beach, quiet and local atmosphere I love!
