Reviews for Colonna Grand Hotel Capo Testa
Review 1:The food and the facilities , amazing views
Review 2:No air con as it's centralised so staff switched it from cold to hot without telling us, tiny tv, worn bed sheets , wifi doesn't work , smoke alarms going off at 6am etc etc
Review 3:The bed was horrendously hard and the shower temperature swung from scalding hot to freezing cold every few minutes. At times, the staff were a bit rude as well.
Review 4:The grounds and pool area were gorgeous and our room was incredibly spacious with a huge balcony overlooking the sea
Review 5:Site needs more info on travel to hotel from airport. It is 60 km away. There is a bus from olbia (no loos!) 8 euros each and 90 mins - ask at airport. Taxi is 120 euros from airport 60 mins. If you're thinking of hiring a car arrange this beforehand as there was nothing at airport. Hotel helpful in arranging hire of car/scooter/taxi, but again arrange beforehand. If you don't have transport don't go for the b&b option as there isn't much nearby!!
Review 6:Lovely location, no problem getting a sun lounger even though we went when hotel was full. Despite reviews to the contrary we found plenty of English speakers there that were very helpful. Food was good if a little over presented - waiter was a star - missed him on our last night.
Review 7:Would have liked a bath rather than just a shower and the first room we had was nowhere near as big as the picture on your website, but they did change it for us the next day.
Review 8:Location, room, breakfast and very helpful staff
Review 9:Staff weren't super friendly, and the language barrier didn't help but was overall ok. Wifi issues whilst we were there weren't ideal. The hotel catered much more to older couples, so if you're looking for more action I wouldn't recommend staying in Santa Theresa Gallura but another area with more happening.
Review 10:The location is hands down what makes this hotel 5 star, it's right beside 2 amazing beaches with the clearest water I've ever seen. Pool was also great, I can imagine it would get extremely busy during summer. The little town of Santa Theresa Gallura is only 5 mins away by car & it has another amazing beach along with some great restaurants and a cute town square. Ideal for couples looking to relax and take it easy
Review 11:Service, though friendly, was not professional enough for a 5 star hotel
Review 12:Stunning location and beach. Wonderful sea view from room. Nicely mediterranean hotel decor. Several pools including shallow pool for children.
Review 13:The parking space was a bit small and without a fix place, which maked looking for a space a 10min adventure every night. The matress was really hard, like cardboard. We had access to the WiFi but the half of the time (4 days) we had no internet at all. The TV was a little bit small. The swimming-pool was ok but with no area for adults, with some depth to have a nice swimm (max depth 1m only in some places). And somebody must stop the people reserving places at the beach before breakfast with towels, which is the most vulgar form of behavior, specially when is allowed by the lifeguards working for the hotel. All the rest is fine.
Review 14:Great location, on a beautyfull beach, easy to find, very friendly and efficient workers, closer to Gallura, very good breakfast, rooms with terrace, good cleaned, excellent showers and a lot of tv-channels. We had an allround possitive experience with some weak points, but the employees did a lot to make us feel really well. We would come back for another week.
Review 15:The service in the hotel, the food
Review 16:Location
Review 17:Food, room, bad value
Review 18:Beach front location
Review 19:not all staff are friendly
Review 20:the facilities of the hotel, the beach nearby hotel
Review 21:No wifi service. The floor surface around the pool is really sharp and not suitable for kids.
Review 22:Location, amazing view and nice ammenities.
Review 23:We booked this hotel for our honeymoon- BIG mistake! This is not something that you can call a 5 star hotel, even though you are paying the 5 star fee. We advise you to find another hotel. This is at most a 3 star hotel, with poor service and high prices. We booked a junior suite with sea view, and were presented with a tiny room which smelled horribly and had a harder bed, than a 20 $ hotel in Guatemala. After complaining we, got a lesser smellier room with a bit softer bed, but the room was smaller. The pillows were uncomfortable and the room interior was quite old. However we got the sea view. The Internet was not working the entire time we spent in the hotel. Every time we asked reception about something- they said no, or did not understand what we were saying, like when I tried to borrow an iron. NO it was not possible, and NO they do not have a room where I could do it myself, but I could deliver my clothes to housekeeping tomorrow, to get them ironed the day after tomorrow for 10 euro. We booked a table at hotel restaurant 24 hours in advance, but they managed to misplace our booking, and we were given the last and worst available table at the restaurant- near the kitchen and with no view. The food was not particularly good, but the prices were high. On the other hand the outdoor facilities were nice, almost picture perfect. But on picture, you can’t see that the swimming pool is only 70 cm deep. For a “perfect” finish, they tried to push an extra 216 euro bill on us, eligibly for the food we have eaten at their restaurant.
Review 24:Location was good. Room cleaning was good.
Review 25:NOT a 5-star Hotel ever!! Very old furniture in the room, bath equiped only with basics (moldy shower curtain), TV from 1990, internet only in the lobby, closed pool bar, and even the "great looking" (on the pictures) pool and deck made of concrete was deteriorated hurting on the bare feet. Very limited dinner offer, no cook during breakfast and with no car basically stranded.
Review 26:balcony with sea/pool view, OK breakfast
Review 27:Very nice staff, but they have a problem with the system of payment, can not pay for a stay until after the last dinner before departure
Review 28:Beautiful white beaches and clear water, the only problem is jellyfish, interesting scenery, strange formations of rock... Certainly be visiting Porto Rafael in Palau and Porto Cervo, about 30 km from the hotel.
Review 29:dirty room, bathroom horrible smell of mold, carpet old and dirty, old towels, arrogant staff, restaurant undersized, the air conditioning does not work, no terraces at the restaurant, not worth more than three stars.
Review 30:This hotel was very hard to sleep in.The walls and ceiling were very thin and you could hear any conversation in any of the rooms next to you including chair movments etc. sometimes I wouldn't be able to until 2 AM because of women talking above us.
Review 31:Great beach, pool, view and location very closs to costa zmeralda
Review 32:The room decor and furniture is not 5 star as cliamed
Review 33:The Pools and the view of the beach is lovely
Review 34:Value for money is extremely low, the rooms are poorly furnished and everything is very, very old.
Review 35:Location is great.
Review 36:May be you should pay more attention to cleaning the beach
Review 37:The SPA was fantastic.
Review 38:Extremly good impressions, partially since we booked it the same day as we checked in and got 60% discount :)
Review 39:Fantastic location
Review 40:food!
Review 41:No way was it five star staff were so unfriendly and very unhelpful
