Reviews for Hotel Stelle Belle
Review 1:Toilet seat should be heated in winter.
Review 2:Close proximity to Goryu ski slope. Helpful and attentive services at reception, restaurant and, pick-up and drop-off. The quality of the Western and Japanese dinners served were good and balanced.
Review 3:Bed was a little bit hard and the pillows were not comfortable.
Review 4:Friendly and helpful staff - understood English which was extremely helpful. Great view from our room - was beautiful and breakfast was great.
Review 5:They don't tend the beds, which for a hotel and the price we paid is outrageous. Complained and they said they just don't do it everyday. So for someone staying 2 nights they don't do it at all.
Review 6:Great breakfast!
Review 7:The wi fi didn't work in the rooms, only in the reception and bar area, but this was actually a good thing in the end as we always spend too much time online!
Review 8:The family who run this hotel are very nice and will help you with whatever queries you have. The hotel is in a great location for Hakuba goryu resort and Hakuba 47, but you have to take the shuttle to happo one. The onsen was great. The decor is a bit dated but very clean and well maintained. This hotel is extremely good value for money.
Review 9:Beds were hard, pillows were full of sand/beads, not very comfortable for a Westerner but you got used to it. Walls were quite thin, bring earplugs.
Review 10:Staff were awesome, treated us like family, very understanding for our needs. Free breakfast and early morning shuttle buses. Close location to the Goryu slopes and free shuttle bus there and to Happo.
Review 11:The friendly and competent staff, the small hotel feel, the "0nsan" , the food, the location was very good and all in all, it had a warm welcoming style. Junko, the manager made our stay a pleasure with her kindly and helpful hosting. I would recommend it to all who want a home away from home experience.
Review 12:The private bathroom was very small and all plastic but we used the onsen every day so it was no problem in the end. There was only a tiny wardrobe for the five of us so we had to live out of the suitcase for a week.
Review 13:The 2 bedroom apartment worked well for a family. One of the rooms had a heated floor. It was cosy and good to dry the clothes on but at night we had to open the window a bit because we couldn't regulate the heat. We had only 5 min to walk to the ski area.
Review 14:Difficult to get into the nightlife areas of Hakuba, the shuttle bus has very limited times at night. Limited options for food close by.
Review 15:Great place to stay at the base of Goryu in Hakuba. Walking distance to the base of the mountain, rental equipment, etc. Walking distance from the shuttle buses to and from other mountain bases, plus has its own shuttle that does one drop off in the morning and one pick up in the afternoon. If you contact them in advance, they will organise a shuttle to and from the train station too.
Review 16:nil
Review 17:Location is good and the room is clean and tidy.
Review 18:Probably more shuttle buses for non skiers
Review 19:Very friendly staff
Review 20:Extra bath charges
Review 21:Great private miso barrel onsen and shuttle from goryu bus stop
Review 22:WiFi only in lobby
Review 23:Really nice location. Friendly helpful staff (typical of Japanese). Excellent food dinner and breakfast. Clean large room
Review 24:Lack of wifi or English tv channel Lacked any atmosphere
Review 25:Onsen Staff
Review 26:Proximity to skiing. Helpful friendly staff.
Review 27:Food wasn't great
Review 28:Great staff and rooms
Review 29:no wifi. price different from at time of booking.
Review 30:location
Review 31:Wifi only at lobby!
Review 32:Good location, 5 mins to Ski center, excellent to have an onsen after ski one whole day! helpful staff as well!!!!
Review 33:Very friendly and helpful staff. 5 minutes walk to ski resort.
Review 34:nothing
Review 35:The staff were lovely, the location was great - easy walk to lifts and restaurants. The onsen and buffet breakfast
Review 36:very limited TV channels, furniture quite worn out, kettle is too small, not enough shuttle service
Review 37:Just restricted to one skiing area or need to get transfers to other areas. No complaints about hotel itself.
Review 38:Near main lift and central for Goryu village. There are two onsens, indoor and outdoor which are are both good.
Review 39:Nothing really. Can be pricey if you don't book in advance. We did and it was fantastic value.
Review 40:Great location, hearty breakfast, they drive you to a large ski field Happo One in the morning and pick up in the afternoon, plus the smaller (still very nice) ski areas accessible on foot from the hotel - Goryu and 47. Onsite onsen, Good restaurants in the area.
Review 41:No wifi in the rooms, only at the reception area.
Review 42:Very nice staff, helped us a lot to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms were great with the connecting doors when you are traveling with older kids. 12 and 14 years old. Close to goryu lift, even though we liked the hakuba one better. Nice restaurants in the neighborhood in walking distance. Nice with the Onsen at the hotel.
Review 43:There is not a lot going on in the area (in terms of restaurants and pubs). There are a couple of spots, but there isn't a great deal of variety. We ended up going to Echoland a few times for dinner.
Review 44:Very friendly and helpful staff. They offered several deals at other establishments to help facilitate your stay. Lift passes could be purchased (for Goryu and 47) at the desk. Goryu and 47 are a short walk from the hotel, making it a great location if you plan to stay at those hills and your primary focus is skiing/snowboarding only. Breakfast was decent, not a lot of choice on weekdays, but enough to give you a decent start to the day. Basic but clean rooms. Nice private Onsen.
Review 45:Very nice and cute hotel, very clean, good breakfast, warm and friendly staff. I was 4month pregant when I stayed in this hotel, cannot ski, just stay in the village, the hostess was so kind that arrange osen trip for me. This hotel has the perfect location near by the Hakuba Goryu ski, which is more suitable for snowboard than Hakuba happo-one ski. My husband and his friends enjoyed a lot in Hakuba Goryu and Hakuba 47. Will definitly choose this hotel again next time.
Review 46:Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and good size rooms, good outside onsen, very close to ski resort, excellent breakfast, beautiful views. Would stay again.
Review 47:No English TV
Review 48:Reception staff so helpful, could not fault anything they did Courtesy Bus picked us up at Bus Stop on arrival. Took us to Supermarket and neighbouring villages. Breakfast
Review 49:Nothing at all, everything was great, would definitely stay there again.
Review 50:The lady at reception was extremely helpful and friendly, the room was spacious, the onsens were great, breakfast was tasty and the complimentary shuttle bus drop-offs were a godsend!
Review 51:No english channel on TV.
Review 52:Everything ! Hotel staff and management were very accommodating. They made you feel part of their family Their off-site restaurant was wel worth dining at - well worth a visit ! Food, price, room and location of hotel to ski field was excellent. We won't hesitate coming back.
Review 53:We really enjoyed our stay here. Although the hotel is a bit dated it is perfect for those looking for a convenient place to stay as it is a very short walk to the gondola and nearby restaurants. This hotel also has three onsens on-site which was amazing after a long day on the slopes. The staff are exceptional - very accommodating.
Review 54:A bit of a walk when you get off the bus from Nagano, suggest calling from a shop near bus stop and they'll pick up.
Review 55:Good location close to Goryu (few minute walk), shuttle to Happo, friendly staff that did everything to make our stay pleasant, good breakfast, good size room.
Review 56:the hotel itself is a little dated, but overall the service and location makes up for this
Review 57:staff were fantastic and could not have been more helpful, The location was also great
Review 58:Room is spacious but the facilities need upgrades. Prefer wifi also in the room. The indoor onsen is not attractive.
Review 59:It is close enough to the ski resort. Good choice of breakfast and it even offers some changes on a daily basis over our 4 night stay. Dinner is a surprise and very satisfying! Staff speaks very good English and gives good advice.
Review 60:Perfect location convenient for ski and local transportation. Staff are very informative with either languange. Room is large enouogh and very clean(hope next time to have tatami available). its separate restaurant nearby is excellent and stylish in Japanese food and wine. Really enjoyed very much our short stay there.
Review 61:Recommended! The staff are very nice!! The room is big and clean. The location is very good, just walk for 3min can take the liftchair or gondola to mountain of Hakuba Goryu. Definitely will visitagain next year!
Review 62:The hotel staff were fantastic!! They were really helpfull with all ourarrangements. The shuttle service was flexible to anywhere in thevillage and came to collect us from the station. We had a huge amountof luggage. My son has a severe nut allergy and the restaurant stafftook care to advise us of which of the dishes contained any form of nutevery time we visited the restaurant. The food was also excellent. Allof the recommendations turned out to be great value and we receiveddiscounts with the local rental shop. My children were hooked up with agreat value instructors at the Hakuba Snow Dragon Ski & SnowboardSchool. I can highly recommend this school. We booked 2 rooms as afamily of 5. There were were larger tatami rooms which wereunfortunately unavailable. The hot spring both inside and outside weregreat fun and relaxing after a full day skiing. I cannot recommend thishotel highly enough.
