Review 1：The Flying Pig calls themselves a party hostel and though there was no age indication when I booked my bed, they told me they normally don't want guests above 40 years old, because 'older people complain too much about the noise.' I hadn't said a word, I hadn't complained, but I still was categorised as a complainer just because of my age? Not too friendly imho.

Review 3：There were no large under-bed lockers available, unlike the other Flying Pig hostels, however there is a lot less traffic in/out so this generally isn't an issue. There isn't much to do within walking distance, especially if the weather gets cold. I would recommend booking the shuttle service at reception to Amsterdam if you are looking for more activity.

Review 4：The locals visit this hostel at the weekends, giving it a coffee-shop sort of vibe, albeit with alcohol, lots of smoke, live DJs and so forth. Loads of interesting characters and faces, and although I wasn't the most sociable piggies, I managed to make friends with some of the staff. Sometimes the staff even join you for a smoke or drink, less of a commercial hostel, and more of a communal feel.

Review 5：Rooms super small no lockers just a small safe to keep valuables theres's about 12 worker living at the hostel which mad for a wired vibe most weren't friendly and they had no propane for the bbq I cooked in the kitchen because there's so much staff anything that's left behind by fellow travelers they take for themselves and expect you to buy the little things over and over again just so they can keep it:(

Review 9：Excellent hostel, friendly, wonderful located just on second line at the beach at nice town. They provides many facilities: heap shuttle to/from Amsterdam, free breakfast, comfortable beds,nice kitchen, great atmosphere and more. Price proposed by Bookong.com was amazing - I got the bed in 4-bedroom dorm for twice cheaper than regular price! I like where,and would be happy to return back! Thanks Flying pig!

Review 27：I particularly enjoyed the proximity to the beach and also the fact that I was lucky enough to be staying the night when three local bands were performing within the hostel in the final of a regional battle of the bands contest. Having said this I would certainly be more than interested to visit the hostel on any occasion.

Review 29：Friendly, enthusiastic staff. Home like welcome to both young and old. Peaceful amsterdam alternative. This place is a Bar, nightclub, kitchen cafe, coffee shop and your own home all rolled into one!! And that's before you even consider the beach. Bus shuttle from flying pig down/uptown is fantastic service too. Remember take some smoke and some food with you!! Things shut down early evening mostly. Ps no coffee shop in town. But Leiden and den Haag are close and well worth a visit.

Review 35：The 4 euros shuttle from Amsterdam was really a amazing idea! The ambiance is great, the staff even better and because it's a small hostel, you don't have the choice but to meet people! I've been there for two nights during the weekend, would have stayed longer if I haven't already book an hostel back in Amsterdam. I had the possibility to rent a bike for only 8 euros a day and had a trip to Zandvoort, also a nice beach/relax place upper in the north. Seriously, it's THE place to go if you want a relax and worryfree stay in Holland. Cheers to all the people that I met there and were a part of my amazing stay.

Review 36：Overpriced! A room for two persons including shower and toilet for 100 euros. Very bad standard of the room; poor, dirty bed coverages, no soap in the shower, one small towel per person, no TV, you had take off your own bed sheets, no bed lamps nothing. For 50 euros, OK, but asking 100 euros in a further completely hostel context....? No.
