Review 1：Oldish hotel, modest breakfast (maybe due to the low season), not all rooms are the same and some are more worn out than others. The first room we checked into was not properly cleaned, yet the hotel staff kindly agreed to change it for us.

Review 2：Very well situated, very friendly reception personnel, fantastic view from the swimming pool, great gym and swimming pool facilities, charming used-to-be-grand hotel for those who do not mind the hotel carrying the "dust of the past". Overall, we enjoyed our stay there. Go for the lake view rooms, they are much better

Review 17：Air con wasn't working in our room, internet was bad speed and wasn't available everywhere in hotel, couldn't get a late checkout or a replacement room to change before we left, was told we could by one girl at reception then told when we went to check out there wasn't a room avaible to do so by another girl even though there was 5 rooms on bookings.com. Very expensive for transfers to airport €140 was quoted when u can get the same for €90 on alternative sites online.

Review 20：The owner is a woman in her 70s and wanders around interfering in things. She came over and had a rant at several guests in Italian, even though they didn't speak Italian and the reason for her complaint was unclear. Fortunately the staff came over to apologize - seems to happen quite often.

Review 23：Beautiful hotel with amazing views and lovely garden; the site was perfect. The facilities were very good - we were lucky with the weather, so the lack of an outside pool was compensated by the lake swimming from the little beach. It was so good to get away from noise and crowds which can otherwise spoil a holiday. The food was excellent, thoughmeals other than breakfast was pricey!

Review 35：While we were allocated a partial lake view room we had an almost fulll view which was fantastic. Good sufficient free parking available outside of hotel, admittedly we were not there in high season. Good free Wifi connection available.

Review 43：The location of the Majestic is just stunning, looking out over the lake while enjoying breakfast is a joy. All staff were exceedingly helpful and very friendly. With the islands, and nearby towns, there is more than enough to see. For those with a love of gardens, this place will amaze you. Villa Taranto, Isola Madre, and Isola Bella all have jawdroppingly beautiful gardens. For a complete day out, try the Lake Express tour, which includes a three hour boat trip traversing Lago Maggiore up to Locarno, and heading back to Verbania by scenic railway. You will not regret it!

Review 44：The safes were unreliable as my friend was having difficulties making it work properly. The office response was good but it happened twice. The gym and pool opened late in the morning for early risers who wanted to swim before breakfast. The dining restaurant was very expensive and only served to encourage people to dine elsewhere.

Restaurantstaff+manager (breakfast-lunch-dinner): often unmotivated and/or unfriendly, sometimes even rude. Stress?? Bath/showercombination without possibility to have a shower standing-up: unacceptable, and so easy to resolve....

Review 47：Excellent, quiet location with direct access to lake. Great views across the lake towards Stresa and the Isole Borromee Beautifull historic hotel. Upgrade to a juniorsuite with a stunning terrace. Good kitchen.

Review 48：the bathroom flooded everytime you took a shower. the beds were very firm and there were only two 'dining' chairs to sit on and a usless bureau and no table. there were two chairs on the small balcony.

The dinnerexperience was very unpleasant due to the unprofessional behavior neverwitnessed before of the 'maitre' suffering from a serious temperand publicly bullying young waitresses. This man should not be giventhis responsibility. In addition, waiting times to access the restaurantand to be taken the orders were too long as the waitresses were notallowed to take any initiatives without the ok from the'maitre'. American breakfast in the brochure, yet Europeanbreakfast in reality.

Review 61：A classic and, therefore, expensive luxury hotel in a prime location on the shore of Lake Maggiore and only a short walk from local restaurants and the boat terminal. The service is superb. Our duplex junior suite had its own terrace overlooking the lake. The views were stunning. The hotel accepted our small dog, charging a supplement of Euros 20 per day.

They also offeredassistance if we needed it after we left for another destination inItaly. We have stayed 5 times and plan to return. Roberto as Maitred' is exceptional. Excellent other restaurants within walkingdistance. This hotel has a very special and very beautiful location.

Review 64：The food was realtively poor and not what you expect from a luxury hotel. A few dishes were tasty, but the meals are expensive for what they are. The breakfast comprisedof a few meats and cereals, yogurt in plastcic cartons and what tasted like Sunny Delight instead of fresh Orange Juice. The pastires were limted in choise but good. The dining room has a wonderful view, but no atmosphere with cheap furniture and the overall feel of a business function room The room was just about big enough but a bit plain
