Review 1：Couldn't fault this hotel, spaciuos room with balcony & great clean decoration through out. Could even use the bar ourselves when we got back late.

Review 2：When we arrived we couldn't work out how to open the front door! It turns out that it was just stiff and we hadn't pushed hard enough.

Review 11：I love this place. Its small and well located. This is my second visit to De Koningshof. The beach and dunes are fabulous and it's near tulip fields. I like the way Mr. Hassing runs his place. Coffee and snacks always available on the honor system. Nice rooms, clean and efficient.

Review 12：The stairs down to the bedrooms were steep and winding for the oldies, but we had been warned! Bathroom was on the ground level, bedrooms in the basement, but we survived. Slight damp smell below but all clean. Bedrooms basic but beds VERY comfy!

Review 38：Because I have dietary limitations (can't eat gluten or dairy), I would have preferred to have a buffet style breakfast, where I could had more flexibility with what I ate, but that is a personal thing.

Review 39：large clean room, the staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was plentiful. It was extremely easy to get to from the train station in Lieden - a mere 2 minute walk to the bus stop to the hotel. Very quiet location and good restaurants nearby.

Review 40：I have never seen such helpful staff in my life. The man at the reception desk assisted me in everything I needed. The nice oddity was the separate bathroom and shower in the room :) The location is very good - close to the sea and nature.

I had the last available (single) room and bathroom is not "en-suite", but it is only for your own use and it is made clear it is that way, and is in practice not a problem at all. Review 56：The only complaint was that we had was that from our room (the apartment) we could see what we assume were the owners of the hotel going back and forth from their home to the hotel. We had to close the blinds so that we had a little privacy (not that they ever looked in the windows).

You get your own personal platter of sliced meat (you can see the meat slicer so you know it was prepared that morning), they'll serve your coffee, fantastic orange juice, and have kid seats ready and waiting for your young children. Very easy, short walk to the beach. Staff was very helpful in finding places to eat dinner and shopping areas. Parking was quite easy as there is a large parking lot across the street and the hotel provides a pass for your vehicle.

We got a two bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchenette, ideal for our family of floor. Just need to be careful with the steep stairs.

It is within easy walking distance from the beach and restaurants. The gentleman who welcomed us was very helpful and even prepared our breakfast before the scheduled time so that we could make it to the airport in time for an early flight. Excellent value for the price.

Review 86：We have a roof room. It was very hot and humid. No AC and no ventilator. Windows are not designed to open all the way. Very noisy room. Noise from outside. Sink in the sleeping room. Shower and toilet together in very small space. The room was small. Very old carpet. Too much bread and not enough fruits.

The owner wasvery helpful and friendly and made suggestions for restaurants. I smokeand while smoking is not allowed in hotels in The Neatherlands there wasa small balcony just outside our room where I could smoke. They served avery nice breakfast and we enjoyed our stay there so much we came backthe night before we flew home. Another plus was that there was ampleparking directly across the street that we could use, because the hotelhas signs that you put in your window which allow you to use it.

Review 101：Rooms were not exactly soundproof. My single room (#6) was located nearthe stairs and I heard a lot of noise of people coming and going. Ifound it only moderately disturbing but some people might not care forthat and if so it is better to get a different room. Also, thatparticular room has the private toilet and shower in a separate room atthe end of the hallway. I didn't find that much of a problem at allsince the separate room was for my use only and the hotlel provided arobe for use.
