Reviews for Hotel Marea Neagra

Review 1:Not very clean, some problems with electricity, food quality not very good, TV was not working properly.

Review 2:Very friendly staff. Good location close to Peles castle.

Review 3:The listing on booking says you can rent ski equipment at the property. This is a lie. There are only two hair driers for the whole hotel available at reception. 6 parking spots in front of the hotel and the receptionist also mentioned there is a garage, however the access road to this garage was a steep road covered with snow/ice(not cleaned) we parked on the street. The receptionist needs to learn how to interact with customers better. Every time we interacted i got the impression we are bothering her.

Review 4:Rooms are big, clean and warm. Breakfast was ok

Review 5:The receptionist wasn't very accommodating.

Review 6:Good location; within walking distance to Peles and Pelisor Castles. Wide selection of food for the buffet breakfast.

Review 7:The staff at the reception spoke no English and were very rude. They rolled their eyes whenever you ask them a question. The fire alarm went off three times in the night but there was no information given to guests as to what is happening. There was also a barking dog which kept us awake. Overall, a most unpleasant experience.

Review 8:The breakfast. Thin walls so we could hear every noise outside our room.

Review 9:The room was clean, spacious, confortable and warm. We really did not feel the minus degrees outside.

Review 10:No heating from arrival until 18.00. Smoking in reception lobby - closed area with no ventilation. Door to balcony not closing completly, wood flooring start to degrade, all looks cheap and prematurely aged.

Review 11:Location

Review 12:You can go walking to downtown (around 20min walking down), but to go back it`s hard, as it`s a steep hill. The breakfast is good, as I said, but it`s served in a room that made me feel bad, with people smoking and super hot, even outside being fresh. Poor decoration, I`ve stayed in much better hotels in Romenia paying less.

Review 13:The great view to the mountains from the balcony! Rooms have a good size, not small. Good breakfast

Review 14:My only issue was that I had asked if there was a vending machine or other option to buy a bottle of water. I was advised that there was some in the mini bar in the room - there was only one small bottle and two of us staying there! Next morning I noticed a tall fridge at the bar with numerous bottles of water in it.......

Review 15:The location is ideal, situated quite high up with lovely mountain views. The room was clean and spacious, the staff were very friendly and helpful - so much so that they arranged our return journey back to the airport advising a coach pick-up from train station we weren't even aware of - it's with a company called CDI who have regular pick-ups outside the train station who will drop you off outside departures at Otopeni for only 35 lei per person. The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and very tasty. Would certainly stay here again.

Review 16:An accident maybe, in the day we were leaving the maid tried to enter the room at 8:00, by both trying to directly open the door and then trying with a key. I found that highly annoying, I hadn't planed to wake up at 8 on my holidays. Even if it were an accident, they should not start cleaning rooms at 08:00, the noise would be enough to wake up even the guests who escape the direct approach.

Review 17:Far from the central Sinaia, but close to the cable lift, quiet neighbourhood, nice large rooms with a comfortable bed and not-dated furniture.

Review 18:If you are staying here in slow season, there will be very few options for close-by walking-distance restaurants. You'll have to take a taxi or be up for a strenuous steep down/up hill walk to main part of town.

Review 19:I had a wonderful little balcony, a large spacious room and comfy bed. Walking distance to Pelisor and Peles Castles.

Review 20:Far from the center. No way to go by foot. Lot of climbing.

Review 21:nice.ok, got what I paid for. NOT in the center. Meaningless if you are with a car, like I was.

Review 22:very nice view, big room, close to the castle we wanted to visit, bus station in front of the hotel, nearby restaurants, profesional staff, rich breackfast!i recomand it with all my heart!

Review 23:everything was just great!

Review 24:Great communication with personnel, great wi-fi (watched a movie online!), spacious room, panoramic view, comfortable mattress, tasty breakfast with many choices, very close to Peles Castle and mountains. We had an excellent stay at your hotel! Thank you!

Review 25:Breakfast lacked a vegetarian/vegan option. The hotel is far from the city center, on a hill.

Review 26:The parking spots are limited but we managed to find one available considering that we arrived late. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was well organized and clean. The hotel is at a 2 min walk from the Peles castle.

Review 27:Wifi was slow in our room on the first floor. The bathroom was not the best -the toilet didnt smell very clean, the mirror was uneven and thr shower cabin doors were not closing properly. The atmosphere and decor were a bit cold and not very cozy.

Review 28:Friendly staff. Good position. Comfy bed. Great breakfast. Big shower. Garage. Free parking. overall a good place to stay

Review 29:The bath and balcony were not cleaned properly. There was a cotton ear bud under the bathroom heater and long hair on the balcony floor. Room facing the back of the building had no view, just a parking lot and another hotel. The bathroom ventilation fan was not working. The wall socket were the freezer was supposed to go in was making sparks when trying to insert the plug.

Review 30:The bed sheets were clean.

Review 31:The view from the room. In the back of the hotel only other buildings were present.

Review 32:Very close to the main attractions ( Peles Castle, Pelisor Castle, Telegondola). Great breakfast.

Review 33:The only thing that I can "complain" about was the TV. Old style, not very good reception. But you don't go on vacation to watch TV, do you? :)

Review 34:Big room, great cosy balcony, everything very clean and very nice personal. The location is great, close to the Peleș Castle, the Sinaia Monastery and also close to the Sinaia telegondola. Will come back for sure!

Review 35:The hotel is a real Three Stars hotel, but in Romanian terms. It is better than many other hotels where I have been before, however, 1. the walls are too thin 2. horrible views of a 4-storey building if your are not lucky enough to get one of the rooms facing the main street 3. the toilet though very clean looks quite old fashioned 4. the hotel lacks of an elevator. No recommended for handicapped guests. On the flip side, 1. The breakfast was much better than expected 2. The hotel staff was very gentile and supportive 3. Very close to Peles Castle (7 min walk) but a little far from Sinaia downtown (watch out, it's very stepped!!)

Review 36:No restaurant in the hotel (accept breakfast which is servet on ground floor) but a couple of restaurants down the street - near the castel.

Review 37:Location beautiful! Mountain view and very close (10min walk) from Peles Castle. Great breakfast! Very nice staff! Bus stop to the city center - next to the hotel (bus is 2 leja for adult). Big rooms and beds.Good wifi Clean!

Review 38:it was a littel hard for us to go up without an alivator with all of our bags.

Review 39:We like the fact the hotel is neer the center of town but not in the midel of town. The price was great for us and it was the best option for us to start our trip like this.

Review 40:Nothing. Everything was pretty good

Review 41:Close to Peles and Pelisor. And to the Telegondola. Friendly staff. Good food (breakfast).

Review 42:Unfriendly staff, curtains wich dont block the light, shower with no water pressure, looks extremely cheap

Review 43:Nothing

Review 44:Great design, I loved the modern and comfy room, Great breakfast with tons of choices.fantastic location!

Review 45:breakfast is great, as well as location, very near Castle Pelesh

Review 46:The proximity to the Peles Castle and the friendliness of the staff.

Review 47:Hotel Marea Neagra is located in a quiet place. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. I recommend this hotel.

Review 48:Only possibility for breakfast, no dinner possibilities...

Review 49:Very close too palace. Really good price/value.

Review 50:The bed made my back hurt.

Review 51:Clean room, nice view, close to the castles we wanted to visit.

Review 52:Distance to the city center

Review 53:Great value for money in sinaia!! Amazing view Very helpful staff

Review 54:Nice and quiet, close to the cable, good breakfest, :)

Review 55:Nice place and good breakfast

Review 56:A little far from the city, parking a bit difficult, no restaurant

Review 57:Room basic, clean, great view

Review 58:no elevator

Review 59:location

Review 60:wifi cam lent

Review 61:Ne-am simtit excelent

Review 62:Perfect position for visiting Peles and Pelisor castles Very large room Parking is a plus

Review 63:Locatia si comfortul din camera.

Review 64:Very good

Review 65:nothing

Review 66:lovely large room with balcony, nice view breakfast very friendly and helpful staff ratio price quality is very good

Review 67:The rooms at the back of the hotel don't have a particularly pleasant view and the bathroom light is a little bit too dim for a room with no windows.

Review 68:The staff were usually friendly, though still helpful when less friendly. The room was amazing for the price, plus there were extra blankets in the wardrobe.

Review 69:The location is not the best (very high and about 20-30 minuts walk from the city center), but it is not very far from Peles castle in the same time.

Review 70:All was quite good. Kindly staff, good (and in-time) breakfast, great view from the window, free guest PC with Internet.

Review 71:The outside of the building has severely chipped paint and since we werenot required to leave a deposit while reserving, we gave serious thoughtto just finding another place. They should invest in improving the painton the outside. We also found that the hotel did not have any signsdirecting you to their location as you drive up the hill in Sinaia, likeother hotels do. We sort of knew where we were going but it would havebeen nice to see at least one sign as we drove up the mountain. Lastly, the front desk clerk was very nice but she could not offer more than onerestaurant suggestion, and that was a place that everybody knows about(The Serbian Tavern). Ok she's not from the area (as she said) butif she took a quick 5 minute lesson on places in the area she would thenbe able to advise us. Oh and the hotel doesn't have a map of Sinaia? That seems hard to believe, but true...The interior of the hotel is nicebut it's these small little things that can make a difference. Ohand please, Hotel mn, do not staple the curtains to the wall as you havedone - you have amazing views from the windows, why wouldn't youwant your guests to see them???

Review 72:The hotel room was very clean, despite the facilities and furnishingsobviously being old. As you will see in my other comments, the outsideof the building is very rough but the inside is nice. And the view fromthe terraces in front of the hotel are amazing.

Review 73:The hotel building really needs repairs. The furniture should be replaced with a new one. ** hotel!

Review 74:Very kind staff. The breakfast was fairly good.

Review 75:It was very cold...and not so clean...

Review 76:Everything was perfect, nothing to complain, highly recommended

Review 77:Locuri de parcare putine.

Review 78:Hotelul ofera camere foarte mari si spatioase pentru pretul cerut. Servirea prompta si corecta.
